These two Japanese beauties arrived today.

The Seiko needs a new glass and I'm thinking of using a NATO strap instead of the steel bracelet. Hmm....

Very nice! I love watches!
My Seiko has a Nato strap... like the military look of it way better than SS.

It's a bit small for my hands, but I wanted the smaller one that's easier to carry around so it was a trade-off for me. The Go will actually fit in the front pocket of my camera bag, where as the 3000 will not so that was the decision maker.

Apparently my neighbors don't like the smooth sounds of GT5 coming through the walls, so these solved that problem quite nicely. :sly:

Dougboy
New editing monitor - Dell U2211H. I regret having a glass desk as they are too high maintenance, plus im too lazy to clean the mess :dunce:

Very nice! My GF however had to mention... Is that lotion? Hahahahahaha

How's the Go handle so far, I'm getting pretty caught up on whether I want a 3000 or a Go.

Leaning towards a blue 3000 value pack though, maybe stick a gelaskin.

I like my Go. It's nice and small. The only downside is not being able to play UMDs, which restricts the game library you have access to.

...Uh, well I don't need UMDs if you get me, but the thing here is between the form factor and price. To me the Go looks like it might less comfortable to play with and its premium in price seems not so justifiable :indiff:

True, the price of the Go is definitely way too high.

The cost of a 3000 and a 16 GB Memory Stick Duo is about $180 on Amazon, versus the $240 the Go costs.

But in terms of form factor, I personally prefer the Go. I've had no problems with comfort holding and playing it. I don't have giant hands, but I also don't have tiny hands. If you're the kind of person who greatly prefers the Xbox controller over the DualShock because the DualShock is smaller, then yeah you might wanna go for the 3000. But otherwise, I don't think you'll have any problems with the size of the Go.

I bought by Go for $100 used in great shape from GameStop. 👍

Since I managed to spill water all over my gaming laptop two months ago, I've been relegated to using my work laptop at home. It is not good for games unfortunately (actually it's not much good for anything apart from emails and excel), so I decided that today I will treat myself to an M17x:

Gaming laptops..

Could have built a gaming PC and bought a midrange laptop for that price.

yeah but at my place I already have a work laptop, my wife's laptop and I'm in the need of a personal one as well, so I don't really see the need to have an additional pc in the house just for gaming. Why spend the same amount on two computers when I can just get one that does the lot? :odd:

You sacrificed portability (size, weight, battery life) for gaming.

You sacrificed gaming for portability.

One average tool that does an okay job at two tasks vs. two tools designed to excel at those two tasks.

I guess it depends on the individuals requirements. You say it like sacrifice is such a negative thing. I wanted some portability and the ability to run the current crop of games on the market. It fits those criteria quite well without adding to my already messy and over crowded house. I own an up-spec family sedan as I simply don't have the time, room or money for a good daily driver & a dedicated race car. it's sort of the same principal.

My latest purchase. The Build-a-Bear, not the kid. Dad's have to do what they have to do!

Cute girl and cute bear 👍 I'm with you on the price of kids stuff, "It's how much for a piece of plastic?!"

Thank you as well!!! :)

What's the saddest part however, the reason that I bought it did not come to fruition. Although, just based on the smile on her face, it was worth every (vast amounts) of pennies! But, my god, when I got to the register. I thought my pocket book spontaneously combusted.

EDIT: I remember is the all to distant past, that I was happy with a 99 cent matchbox car!
