We already have Jamie's America book and whilst the food is indeed great, my girlfriend does most of it as I wouldn't know where to begin! So whilst food shopping the other day I took a look at this. It's great for beginners, explaining each step well whilst keeping a certain degree of simplicity to the methods.

Last night I made chicken chow mein, it was epic if I do say so myself.

There are huge differences between Jamie Oliver and my favorite, Alton Brown.

Jamie: To make this dish you must follow A, B, C. And THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!! :(
Alton: Anytime you cook anything like this you must follow these rules because SCIENCE! Follow the science and make whatever you want without a recipe. Get creative.

Nothing against Jamie Oliver. I just like to know why I am doing something, rather than get a lecture on how not doing it will kill kids.

Should've got this one

Contains important info like, "Crack 2 eggs into the pan. Remove egg-shell from pan." and "Use an oven glove when removing items from oven as they will be hot."

Since my mom went ahead and futzed up her OEM installation I had to pick this up. It's a blessing in disguise for me as I can now upgrade XP...at some point (I've got too much 🤬 up here, so it better transfer ).

EDIT: Just realized I snagged a jay-peg of the Upgrade disc...which isn't what I brought. :P

I have an in-progress review going on in The Infield. I can PM you what I've done thus far, if you're interested?

Of course! I'd love to see it :) 👍

Personally, for about the same money, I find this to a be a better mouse.

Well, I don't really like the plain old look of mice anymore, but with the Rat 7, its a bit more... Modular, so to say. I want something I could customize to fit the dimensions of my hand. I've been stuck with gaming mice (not really gaming) from Microsoft, and I've somehow developed a way of holding it in an awkward manner. Because of the included pinkie grip, I don't really have to leave my pinkie hanging off to the side and allow it to be dragged around on my mouse pad, rather supported by the protruding rest of the included pinkie grip... But I don't know, it's just my preferences. Some people have different needs and interests in their equipment than others. It's more about being comfortable for the user, do you not agree? :)

Now if I can find the Noel Vermilion one for a decent price...

I also went to the junkyard and got THESE

I love it when people leave cool stuff on their car when they junk it! Too bad I don't have a 240SX.

Thus why it was a suggestion. The Mionix has a pinkie sub indent that adds support so you don't have to hold my pinkie off to the side. I really don't think buying a mouse for how it looks is a solid criteria either.

And the last solid mouse MS made was probably the old Intellimouse 3.0. The Sidewinder products aren't great I'd say.

Because they don't realize you can just get a better battery or alternator and solve all those issues.

Or maybe because I got it for free from a friend? :grumpy:

My sub setup is ghetto anyways. I intend on making a fiberglass enclosure but the weather is not letting me.

Yeh what's up with that?

It's almost as though the government has never screwed over motorists before ;)

Heard on the radio a few moments ago, 50 litre tank of petrol a year ago was £8 less, £10 for petrol.

Not going to be long before we're paying £100 for a 50 litre tank. :nervous:

And this...

Yes, it is the best golf sim ever.
Graphics aren't bad either, and this game can be played by those with no skills, (Like me). A gentle learning curve. You'll love it.

ooh you just reminded me that mines due in a couple of weeks, for my 14 year old golf!!

stupid how you dont get a reminder through the post for this but do for everything else.

IIRC my tax went up £15 in a year and its gone up another bleedin tenner, i so want to give the stupid government some hammer death, that think that CO2 produced by cars is destroying the world, when actually it has nothing to do with it, its just an easily measured figure that can be used to their advantage, if cars pumped out helium, nitrogen, insert any gas here, theyd meter that and charge accordingly.

Their own theory is flawed anyway as methane is much more insulative than CO2 and theres lots of that in the atmosphere too, but thats produced by swamps and cows, which by gas production volume outnumber the engine by so much, so thats nature and is fine, WTF!!!???

tax should be charged according to the type of car and the bracket it falls into ie small hatchbacks are low, sports cars higher, super cars higher still, super luxury cars (ie bentleys) higher still and chelsea tractors the highest, with an extra fee if you own a stupid chelsea tractor and have an urban address

how much is an MOT this year?

Mine was £50 :ouch:

I've been thinking about getting hold of a rear ended Golf or Polo Bluemotion and sticking the engine into my MK2.
Then, technically it should be tax exempt and I won't have to pay the dreaded C Charge because the emissions are that low. :sly:
Not the fastest engine in the world though.

Good luck with your MOT:)👍
