Mine was £50 :ouch:

I've been thinking about getting hold of a rear ended Golf or Polo Bluemotion and sticking the engine into my MK2.
Then, technically it should be tax exempt and I won't have to pay the dreaded C Charge because the emissions are that low. :sly:
Not the fastest engine in the world though.

Good luck with your MOT:)👍

Mines a VR6 so attracts the top bracket in the old system :(

I've rebuilt it from being unroadworthy when I bought it and done some extensive bodywork on it, sailed through last year after I had finished so hoping it will do the same this time.

I've read how hard it is to get can bus engines working in older cars so best of luck and I'd be very interested in your progress!

Mmmm, silky smooth VR6. I'd love one of those in my bay. Have you seen the R36 Mk2 on ebay? he wants around £10k for it.

As for the engine swap. Don't hold your breath, its just a pipe dream right now. Whatever happens though, i'll let you know.

Yea I saw it on eBay, first thing I noticed was that he hadn't used the original VGI inlet manifold which would affect the performance and drivability as it's not switching profiles to match inputs. Not to take away from the fact that he's got a can bus FSI direct injection engine working in a mk2 with (one can assume bit more likely hope lol) full functionality.

I've been contemplating an R32 swap for mine but the original engine is still going strong so I'm not rocking the boat

Three bottles of Badger Fine Ale.

Nice choice! I love Poachers Choice. And Fursty Ferret is also awesome. Although I seem to be really into the Wychwood brewery at the moment. Hobgoblin and Goliath especially.

Morrisons currently have an offer on of four individually bottled beers for £5.50 👍

I ended up with eight different ones to try... :sly:

You have to buy a special pillow for that? I did the same thing 20 years ago with a Walkman. :P

Hobgoblin is nice, so is wychcraft and scarecrow, goliath i found was too bitter.

I got a 12 case of selection beers from costco recently and they were pretty good, had lakeland, spitfire, one with a warthog i think.

stay away from badger blakeland fly though if you dont like sickly sweet, i was gagging after half a pint of that:crazy:

Curse you Steam and your fantastic bargains... Paid $4.80AUD for Mass Effect and a whopping $3.50 for Crysis. Now I just need to find time to actually play all these games I buy.

Bit late but uh..

Contains important info like, "Crack 2 eggs into the pan. Remove egg-shell from pan." and "Use an oven glove when removing items from oven as they will be hot."

You have no idea how many times I've burnt myself in the kitchen. Result! 👍
