Lens upgrade time!

IMG_5262.jpg

That's a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II and a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM with an ET-65B hood. I was in need of a telephoto lens and the deal on the 70-300mm was pretty good, picked up brand new for $450 and came with a free Tiffan UV filter. The 50mm was sort of an impulse buy, but it's something I've been wanting for a while and snagged it new for $100.

Now it just needs to quit raining so I can go out and shoot with them.
The 50mm feels like a toy (I have one too), but it takes awesome photos.

Huh, I'm actually in the process of selling my G25 and my 250gb PS3 so I can buy this:

~$200

~$250

I'm selling my PS3 and Wheel because I want something multi-platform since Forza's coming up soon. And I've heard many, many great things about this wheel and the pedals. I've also got about $200+ worth of games if I sell them individually. I don't use my PS3 often enough to be inconvenienced by using the 80GB fatty we've got in the living room once in a while. Well, the minor inconvenience isn't worth the $250 I should be able to get out of it.

I haven't bought it yet, but I'm really excited about it.

$204.99, shipped. Not including the $2.99 rush processing. :D

So, this went all to hell. My card was declined (it expired) and when I went about getting the new info in I noticed it was sold out, again. :grumpy:

Next time! So I picked up some games instead, and am likely to purchase a mechanical keyboard.

Ya I thought the same thing, it does feel cheap but the results definitely aren't. It's quickly becoming my favourite lens to good around with.

Family desktop computer has gone slow, all signs are pointing to RAM failure (512mb original + 1GB upgrade) so bought these and going to hope it stabilises the system again and we get another few years out of the ol' P4.

Was going to spend this money on a new lens for the camera, but these are something I've been wanting to get for a while now.

Bought a new creeper for my daughter.

Because she wouldn't hold still it took two shots to get the whole image in.

FK that's pure awesome.
Creepers and T-shirts up to 2T size (two-year old) and two years ago I got her a doll of a female Panoz race driver when I was at Petit Le Mans. We call her Polly Panoz.

Here it is in this post from this thread.

That's pricey! I'm guessing the aftermarket isn't crawling with TL parts?

I'm set for another 5 years.

No, you did it wrong! You were supposed to get a 1090 or 1100T. :P

Nah, 6 cores sounded like overkill to me. I'm running a 2ghz x2 3800 with 2gb ram that I built in 2005 and it just started to feel a tad slow when doing photoshop and stuff. I figured a quad running at 3.6ghz and 8gb would be more than enough.
Plus the free boards microcenter gives, you couldn't even run a 6 core. Only $160 for cpu+ram+MB so that means I can throw the rest of the money at that fisheye I've been thinking about.

No, it isn't, unfortunately. These are actually among the best power for the money mod as well.

I know how that feels. I've always had cars with poor aftermarket support. Most of the stuff was made by car owners who would fab stuff for their peers.

Pretty much the case with the TL market except for a few aftermarket exhausts. We've only just recently had a turbo option developed for the cars.

I blame the fact that the car wasn't sold in Japan for the crappy aftermarket support.

Oh its everywhere in England, so many smaller outlets have a ÂŁ5 minimum spend on cards (about 8 dollars). Even some bigger newsagent chains do it. McDonalds is ÂŁ5 minimum spend, as are most pubs, bars and clubs.

Theres even cash machines now that charge yoiu ÂŁ1.75 of your own money to withdraw your own money..

You sure about that becuase the one I work at doesn't, I know this becuase this is how I have started my day with a ÂŁ2.29. employee meal before my shift everyday for the past two weeks buts saturdays how I am not fat is nothing short of a miracle.

ÂŁ5 minimum for using your card.
Same with most of the wee shops in my town.

I didn't have to pay a ÂŁ5 minimum for using a card when I went to McD's for a cheeky Quarter Pounder on Wednesday. :P

Picked up, two golf gloves one leather the other feux leather. And got some Schott fitted trousers for golf, Sucker Punch Blu-ray, Super Blu-ray, Modern Family series 1 DVD. Some new socks and boxer shorts too.

:yuck:

I had my first McD's in about 9 years a couple of months ago. It was just a cheeseburger. I don't know how they can make a cheeseburger taste like it did but it wasn't good. :ill:

I'm with you. I haven't had McDonalds in years and don't plan on going back anytime soon. If I want a fast food burger, I go to Sonic or BK Lounge. :dopey:
