You have a display where you put all of your Lego creations?

They are all over Kari's house and part of my room. I think we are going to start building something in her basement so we can display them though.

What's the point in having a dog if you just keep it outside? I've lived with dogs my whole life and I just don't understand why people don't keep them in the house. They're great animals and need lots of love and attention, I'd feel bad leaving them outside.

And the house would be less entertaining without them.

E:

I know those breeds of dogs are naturally out door dogs, but still, I just wouldn't do it.

I rent and my dog isn't allowed inside. And wouldn't except on very rare occasions even if he was. Got better things to worry about than a Border Collie running through my house all day when I'm not home.

Huskys also leave hair. Everywhere.

Glad to see another south paw golfer in the house. I'm kinda weird because I golf, bat, and play hockey lefty, but I do basically everything else righty.

I'm the same way. Played hockey, baseball, and golf all my life and I'm a lefty at all of that but write and throw with my right.

Nice clubs though. I need a new iron set, no spare money for them at the moment though. Damn textbooks.

Sound great with a little bit of tweaking in the audio control panel.

Pretty good for 32$

I have the same desktop speaker system and it's by far the best you'll find for it's price. I've had mine for about a year now and it's still going strong and I almost forgot to mention, that sub puts out some good bump for such a little one.

Just been fitted for these:

This isn't my image and they are of the left hand clubs, but you get the idea, I get to pick them up on Thursday.

Nice. 👍

Hard to tell by the pic but they look like they have a wide sole. To help you with loft?

Also did you stick with the graphite shafts?

I'm a bit of a traditionalist that way and have never had them in my irons.

Cheers Shaun.

Actually they will be steel shafts, the store recomeded the Callaway over the Burner 2.0 that I was looking at simply because they will be a bit more fogiving. The have a wide sole and a lower center of gravity to help with drag from turf and also get the ball up and long. The Diablo Edge are classed as a game improvement iron.

Do like! 👍

I'm betting they were a fair bit more than 30¢ each, though.

Borders is closing 👎:grumpy:, I went in just to see what I could find and ended up with these. I'm really sad to see the place go out of business. The employees there all looked depressed, the magazine section looked like a bomb went off, & the people there (shoppers) looked out of place.

$7.99 plus 20% off.

The dogs I mentioned I've lived with are/were all Border Collies and one Rough Collie cross at the moment. And pretty much all dogs will leave hair everywhere, which is a fairly lame excuse not to keep one in the house. Hoovers were invented for things like this.

If you're not allowed to have them in your place because of rules then that's unfortunate, but it sounds like you wouldn't anyway.

Going back to the first response, my house isn't anything special, it's just an average English home.

Sorry If I'm coming across a 🤬 but it's just the way I feel on this situation.

That's what happens when you refuse to move with the times, charge too much, and use a form of organization that makes it hard to find anything other than what the publishers want you to sell that week.

Should look into ASUS laptops in the future. Most of them are packed with good hardware for the price and my current laptop has been supporting me for 10 months no problems so far. The only problem I might have is that the hard drive in my laptop is known to fail early according to many reviews, where mine has been running fine.

Well now my hard drive is near the end of it's life with the smart data showing read errors. But I shall not cry since I bought a new hard drive and it's coming in the mail today. Plan on cloning the hard drive so it would be as if nothing ever happened.

I ordered my client this Refurbished ASUS laptop, the ASUS K52F-BBR5 laptop - $299.99:

Laptop works well so far for a refurbished laptop by ASUS. The sound is better than AC '97 for sure but not top quality. With a few adjustments it sounds good. The 2GHz Pentium dual core will work well for my client since he is going to do mainly college work on the thing. Also got a sheet from the package which told me that the camera may be inverted so I'll have to fix that before I give it to him(it can be fixed in software easily).

Also purchased a LCD screen to replaced my cousin's broken one. Cost about $75 for the 10.1" netbook screen.

Now I will have to figure how I'm going to recycle the screen. I know bestbuy would take it but the stores get picky on what is brought to them(What they don't take and etc. BestBuy should since their grantee is that they would recycle everything that is electronic).

Both my notebooks are ASUS; a UL80Vt (SU7300+G210M) and a G73Jh (i7-740QM+MHD5870).
So far they've been great, but the G73Jh's been experiencing freezing problems...

I've read you have to update VBios in your G series ASUS to fix a cooling fan glitch so you might want to look into that. It also seems like some of the problems that people are having are from non-ASUS drivers.

Yeah this el' cheapo laptop is pretty nice for a 2GHz Pentium dual core. I checked the 2.0MP webcam and it is not inverted. The palm area is made of a coarse texture so it does not get annoying and any sweat from the hands can be wiped off. The hard drive is actually the same as your UL series ASUS laptop(320GB 5400RPM drive) and it's an ok hard drive. You also have access to the HDD, RAM, CPU, and the CPU heatsink from one cover under the laptop. So it's a major plus for my client and it's a major upgrade compared to the 6 year old HP laptop he bought for used.

It's an all around nice and cheap laptop you can purchase off of tigerdirect or through their ebay page. I've been thinking that some of the refurb laptops are actually overstock but then manufacturers do bring old used laptops back to life and put them back into the market.

I just bought some of those too. What's the best way to use them and for how long?

Well to be honest I'm taking one to work so I'm using it during the day and one at home. As for how long I'm just using them till I can't anymore then swapping hand, then rinse and repeat.

Lens upgrade time!

That's a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II and a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM with an ET-65B hood. I was in need of a telephoto lens and the deal on the 70-300mm was pretty good, picked up brand new for $450 and came with a free Tiffan UV filter. The 50mm was sort of an impulse buy, but it's something I've been wanting for a while and snagged it new for $100.

Now it just needs to quit raining so I can go out and shoot with them.
