I think extra charges are getting out of hand now, since when did an automated computer system that used to be free all of a sudden need an admin fee to work? Ticket sales are terrible too.
I worked for National Processing Company. The automated computer system is not owned or created by the store. Credit cards have never been free to businesses.

There are companies who basically run and maintain a huge server database that will process the card information and transfer the funds. That company wants a few cents per dollar for doing all that work so that your personal financial information is not sitting around on paper copies in the office of some business owned by people you have never met. Then your card companies, Visa, Master Card, etc also want a little bit too. See, they get money from interest charged to card holders, but the best customers are also the best spenders, and those guys are earning rewards without paying interest. So, a few cents on every dollar they spend is taken from the store.

And let's be honest. We all use credit cards these days. Some of us it is to the point that if a place doesn't accept card we will just go somewhere else. So these credit companies are charging the store a fee to make it possible for them to take on any kind of customer that wants to come in. It is also adding a level of security to businesses. It is why car rentals and hotels often ask for your credit card information as your deposit. Most don't charge you the deposit up front, but you are told that failure to cancel within a certain time or whatever will result in a fee. Those places don't have to worry about legally pursuing that fee so longs as it is a legitimate credit card. Again, that service isn't free.

The fees for tickets are completely different. Ticketmaster (or whatever other countries use) either pays to setup a kiosk in a store or sells tickets online. Straight ticket revenue goes mostly to the venue itself. Ticketmaster is making their money for their service by charging the customer a buck or two or three to buy through them. You can go buy it at the venue without the fee but the base ticket price is the exact same. Without that fee Ticketmaster is out of business. Fandango and Movietickets.com do the same thing. Their service to you will cost you an extra buck or two per ticket because the ticket itself still costs the same.

Something I saw on Foolkiller's Google+ page, it seemed like something I just needed to have.

It is an iPhone case that looks like a head gasket.

It is indeed metal with a bit of suede for the phone to rest on. The edges are a bit sharp too. It is pretty thin which is nice as well and is fairly light.

Signal strength has been unaffected as far as I can tell.

G9x. Why? Because the other "high quality" mouse died, after three months.

Razer Vespula. Smaller than my eXactmat, but I wanted a change of scenery to go with the new mouse.

Looks like copper, which shouldn't effect it I don't think. But I'm no scientist.

My favorite part is the sweet job they did with the cables. :yuck:
It's one of things I want to change on it. It definitely needs some TLC.

I found out why it was making such a racket yesterday. The fan for the graphics card had broken its mounting point, and was dropping itself on the heatsink for it. I glued it back into place using some weird smelly epoxy thing. It's noticeably quieter now under load.
Not me. :dopey:

Cheers Shaun.

This part in particular is worth a pretty penny. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JNNAU0/?tag=gtplanet-20

Wacom Bamboo Pen

Got it yesterday for $70. I've been interested in "digital drawing" for a while and figured that $70 wouldn't be too bad a price to try it.

I misread that as bacon for some reason.

Is it any good?

Ordered a laptop for a client.

ASUS K52F-BBR5(Refurbished by ASUS) 15.6" Black Notebook PC - $299.99:

The client plans on paying me back $100 a week to pay back for the laptop. I charged him $20 for my services looking up a good laptop for it's price. It'd be great for him since he would have full access to the CPU cooler for regular maintenance(So he can do it himself and save some money).

Thanks a lot, illuminationx. You've successfully made me miss my husky. :grumpy:

Beware: They love to run. LOVE.

Great looking dog! :)👍

Bad ass dog. I'd love to have a husky but the two we have in this neighborhood are almost never outside in the summer, and when they are, they look miserable.

Call her Hilux.

Haha thanks! And I bet. She was underneath one of our barbecue grills sleepin, then she pulled herself up and dug herself a hole in the dirt underneath a little shrub we have and knocked out. Feel bad for the huskies due to their large quantity of fur in this kind of weather...

Hhm, we'll see. We got a list of names, but it also has to be easy enough for my parents and etc. to say as well. We were thinking about :
1) Luna
2) Senna (Yes, the famous F1 driver)
3) Rose

I've only played around with it for about an hour. It's pretty cool. It has a small learning curve. The active area of the tablet corresponds to your monitor. So for example, If you place the pen in the top right corner of the active area of the tablet, the cursor on the screen will jump to the top right corner. You don't need to make contact with the tablet to move the cursor either. You can hover the pen 3-5mm above the tablet and the cursor still moves. Of course if you want to draw though, the pen needs to touch the tablet. You can change the settings to make it act like a mouse, but that's not ideal for drawing. It feels creepily similar to using a pen to write on paper since the tablet is slightly textured. My main issue so far is learning how to regulate the pressure I'm exerting with the pen. I'm sure I will learn to regulate it with more use though. The only bad thing I've read about it is that with excessive use, the nib on the pen can wear down and you can wear down the texturing on the tablet leaving smooth spots. Wacom included 3 extra nibs in the package though.

TL;DR version: I like it, but I'm having issues regulating pressure with the pen. I'm sure I will learn with practice though.
