I usually drink Chivas Regal or Black Label during the week although I have almost finished my Green label bottle, still got a Blue & Gold label lying around which I plan to use on my wedding day, Would love to know what the double black's got going for itself Because I recently finished a bottle of "JW Swing" which wasnt much chop if you know what I mean.

Funny thing is I got married 3 weeks ago and i too had a bottle of Gold i wanted to drink with my bestmen the night before me wedding, ended up with us polishing off 3 bottles of Jack Daniels and ended up and my buddies restaurant in search of more jack daniels :)

As for the double black , I have no idea but I've never seen a bottle on sale here in South Africa so i picked it up at duty free in Malaysia

Mmmmm Nice nice, Tempted to take the rest of the day off and start drinking to be honest.

Dont bother with the red label, its only good for mixing.

Just got AT&T U-verse Directv & Internet! Should arrive tomorrow.

Hey Raz_10 how do you like it? My landlord got it finally after he got sick of the cable company. We have the U300 and the Net, and its pretty slick. :sly: --- Randy

Funny you asked I was about to blow off.

This 🤬 sent me the wrong modem. I told them DSL with no Telephone Connection and guess what they sent! :grumpy: 👎

That sucks... hope they get that fixed! --- Randy

This as a download, so no case to show...

Awesome.

As for the whisky's above - I don't go for the highland blends but have a nice collection of the island single malts, especially from Islay. Forget the Johnny Walker Black, get a bottle of 12 y.o. The Balvenie Doublewood for the same price and I guarantee you'll never look back. ;) So much more soul...

I don't really see the point of getting a "high quality" blu-ray version of Senna as most of the film is of (mid '80s) TV broadcast quality to start with.

Although, I'll just argue against myself and say that I'll probably get it for the ease of access to a digital copy.
Word of warning here. The digital copy will only work on itunes or windows movie player. It cannot be transferred to the PSP (which is what I intended to do with it).

This is why I always buy hard copies of anything if available.

Since announced for PC, I've been looking forward to this so I paid for my pre-order of L.A. Noire;

Recently been collecting old games from my miss spent youth that I have 'misplaced" over time, so I just picked this immaculate copy up from ebay:

New PC making time this week! The extra hard drive is going into my old PC and I will be selling the old computer with the new hard drive. Gonna be using my 64GB WD SSD as the boot drive and the second hard drive in that list in my new computer as data storage.

Nick, you are going to need more than a 600W PSU. My PC was stretching the PSU with only one 3" HDD, one 2.5" HDD, 5750 graphics card, DVD drive, Athlon X3 455, 4Gb RAM and a card reader. I think you're going to need a 650-700W PSU to make sure there are no issues...

The graphics card is rated to go with a 450watt system(that includes the graphics card and the GPU only requires one 75watt 6 pin PCI-E power connector to power it). The processor is rated at 125watts(review here has a 125watt CPU with a HD 6770). As you can see in the review the max load was 248watts. It will be quite stable even if I were to overclock both the cpu and the gpu.

Nick: why didn't you go for a 2500k? It's faster and less expensive.

I was limited by my budget but still wanted to be able to overclock my processor. It would of been an extra $20-$30 on the whole price but I did not have the room for it. The 8 core cpu was just the bang for the buck I was looking for.

Let me know your headroom, way things are going I might have to step my plans down from a 3930K to a FX-8120.

Except it isn't, Bulldozer gets trashed by Sandy Bridge. The 8150 is below the 2500K is most benchmarks, and the ones that it is better than it's pretty much negligible. Add to that it's a hotter running chip than the Intel and it's easy to see which one is actually better, and it's not the AMD. Not to sound condescending this is a serious question...did you read anything about Bulldozer or did you just think "Ooh 8 cores must make it better" and based your decision on that?

For once, I'm going to defend him. There isn't any software out there that is currently made for Bulldozer. Thus, it's going to look like it sucks. However when companies can make software that'll properly use it. It'll shine brighter than any of the SB processors.

You have to remember that it JUST got released. Of course the first benchmarks are going to look weak.

There is barely any typical software than can take full advantage of 4 cores and 6 cores, 8 is stretching it. What software can use it is relatively specialized for a specific task more suited to professionals or the real hardcore enthusiast. It's not as if the software will magically appear in a year or two or even three. Sure, eventually BD will be able to flex its muscle, and by then there will be improvements to the processor architecture which make it even better. In the computer section he pointed out the system is mostly for medium gaming and HTPC, and BD is no where near a good bang for the buck for uses like that.
