Forza-Motorsport-4.jpg

*waits for traitor/Forza fanboy comments*

Good choice. 👍. I jumped on the Forza bandwagon over a month ago simply for the car selection. £200 well spent...

I just made a purchase I am extremely happy with. For $1 I got the CD for the first Gran Turismo game (no box though). On top of that, I got Gran Turismo 2, with original casing, the manual, and both discs in good condition for $5. So for $6 I got two valuable classics :D

That is SWEEET! I think I might buy a new laptop cooler just for the feature of perhaps being able to change the fans?

Yeah man. Cooler Master is making some nice stuff right now. I'd think you could switch to whatever you want unless they have some weird connection to the USB power adapter.

Got this for $70: Was $180

Parks and rec is awesome! It sucks that time Warner cable removed NBC from their list of channels. Now I have to watch the new episodes on Netflix aswell as the office, the community, and 30 rock :(

I'm just wondering how much this set you back. I bought 4 of these in the summer for my computers and they came to around £2 a piece. If you paid a lot more than that I think I know what business I'll be doing in the future!

What? Making crappy little fans and perforated metal plates?

I'm thinking about this deeper, and you know what, Shem, I think you're on to something. Let's invest millions in the "Laptop Cooling" business.

Not making. Just exporting.

If they cost £2 in China and sell of £10 around the world, even after shipping, that's a tidy profit!

Hmmm, I see what you did there. I've actually thought about that. When I was in Eastern Europe last summer I noticed tech was ridiculously cheap. (Ex: Bike speedos were around $8. Here in Canada the identical speedometer was $40!)

I never understood how importing stuff like that worked though? So one buys an item(s) puts it in their luggage, comes to (ex. Canada) and sells stuff for more than they bought it, but less than what's in stores? Where does he/she sell it? How many can one carry in their bags?

1. One buys several thousand dollars worth.
2. Ships it to destination.
3. Unloads on Ebay or equivalent or sets up connection with a chain of stores.
4. ?????
5. Profit.

If I couldn't watch NBC on Thursday nights I'd be cancelling that cable! Can't even imagine the kind of idiots running a cable company without one of the main broadcast networks like that...

I think it was $24 or so on Amazon.

Waterstones and Phaidon were having a 50% off sale so I bought these:

Haruki Murakami - 1Q84 (full set)

Photobooks:
Elliott Erwitt - Snaps (one of the great Street photographers)
Philip Jones Griffiths - Vietnam Inc. (photo essay on the Vietnam war)
James Nachtwey - Inferno (it's got every conflict/war that Nachtwey covered over the 80s/90s, massive book)

I got:

This for my mom:

I say another one because my first one kind of.. broke. Note to self: Never go swimming with iPhone in pocket.

Added to my collection for $50 from the Medieval Times gift shop. It was open as we were walking by so I figured I'd take the opportunity to check it out. There was a large one that caught my eye first, but I wasn't in the mood to spend $100 on it.

I also had a $40 Best Buy gift card, so:

Was also $50 off, so it was $100. I already have the game itself, but this 12" model of Alduin and the massive art book make it worth it. I'm just giving the other copy of the game to my friend as a late Christmas present.
Wow the model of Alduin is just epic!!! I have been loving Skyrim but dang I am almost thinking I should have considered the collectors edition. Its very very rare that I am interrested in CE but that model is just epic!!! 👍
The other dragon is cool too. I have always been obsessed with dragons. :)

Never heard of anybody managing to do that before.

My Purchases:
