Looks snazzy, but I don't think trying to show off it's potential through an Iphone microphone and then random/crap PC speakers will ever do it justice.

^ lol..

Yes but people don't actually buy B & O for how it sounds... they just think they do! :mischievous:

I didn't buy anything today...trying to avoid spending until next month, when I may just have a blow out and buy a car, fridge, sofa, coffee table, and PS3 steering wheel...

Canceled my Netflix streaming and got this.

Mainly did it for the shipping, the streaming and free monthly Kindle book are just icing.👍

Is there a better selection compared to Netflix?

bang and olufsen is just redesign Philips products by two architects.

Lol, yup, I believe there may be some truth in that.. I don't think there are any architects involved though?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's not good, but I formed my opinions over a number of years selling B & O.. and I don't believe their primary focus is on the right thing - that being sound quality.

^If i didn't mix up something now, it's some of the truth (might not be only Philips electronics?). At least they (or one) holds a similar diploma (might be interior architecture though)

Damn, that's ballin'. I like how products these days are styled to look like decor.

Yeah I know that's kind of why we got them as well.

True, can't say anything there :P

Yeah it's true that they aren't the best value for money, and you are paying for the brand name and expensive building materials, but they are phenomenal... I do know my music, I just couldn't be bothered to buy Bowers Wilkins 802 Diamonds with a pre-amp amp setup which would have cost me twice as much anyway.

No need to ruin my day..

Maybe, but it's not like they skimp out on it either.

My new (blurred) MP4 player... Oh yes, MP4! :sly: Should have set me back $70, I payed $46.

Keyboard initially costed $40. Got it down to $32.50.

And it's wireless... That is amazing! :sly:

I also 'ordered' Sennheiser headphones, but they're not coming in until next week or something. I'm paying about $42 for them.

Sony-MDR-XB500-review.jpg

XB500s for $80. Worth every cent. Way better than those :censored:y Soul SL150s I wasted $200 on last year, and better than the Koss I got for the same price($80). And these cushions are fantastic: Feels like I'm not even wearing headphones, and I've had them on for a few hours.

How you liking it? I've thought about it, but I feel since I only have a iPod touch it won't be worth it.

Love it. I play music over Bluetooth in my car when I get bored of what's on Sirius. I've made a few playlists too and haven't found any songs that aren't on there.

Hmm, you're not a Led Zeppelin fan then!

< Spotprem for 2 weeks and already regretting it.

I finally have pictures of the Beolab 9! They're incredible speakers, far exceeding my expectations. I also added a little test video, but in no way does my measly iPhone microphone capture the potential of these babies:

Here's the video (I guess 1080p might make some improvements? lol):

It looks like a jumbo dehumidifier haha

 at the people hating on the B&O. Their speakers still sound absolutely awesome even if they are a tad on the expensive side in comparison to others.

Nice setup, Guml8all 👍

Can I recommend On An Island, absolutely beautiful album.

Actually I've been looking all over for that album, none of the stores I've been to around here have it. I never really got into purchasing music through Itunes and other places that sell digital copies. I prefer to have a physical copy of the album, makes me feel like I actually paid for something. Such as in the case of the Dark Side of the Moon Immersion box set. I like the books and the extra stuff, as opposed to just buying the music online. Anyways, I may just resort to buying the album off Amazon. On An Island is a great album having listened to it on Youtube, and seeing Live at Gdansk on tv, and I really want to add it to my collection.

Well that's the thing, in my opinion you could get better for less.

I got On and Island and Live in Gdansk for Christmas last year, both are great, but Gdansk takes it for the extended Guitar bits from Gilmour, and also since it's got a few classic Floyd tracks on it too. :D

Thank you! Loving them more every day (:

It's an established fact that you can get better for less. What can I say, I'd rather have a simple B&o setup rather than buying Speakers, pre-pre-pre amp, pre-pre amp, pre amp, amp, DAC, "better" cables, and trying to make it all look nice, when I can have this.

I agree, B&O has got it covered for looks but I feel you can get better sound quality for less from certain niche brands.

For sure.

/off topic.

I got a classic military issue swiss army knife (from 1961-2008).

It's this one (not my photo):
