Just bought a used laptop computer. Really need one for work and the price seemed good. Haven't told the wife yet...:nervous:

Just got some new jeans:

I swear I've got the whole spectrum of Ralph Lauren polos now :P

How well do these things work? My fiance works third, and it would be nice for her to get some decent sleep every now and then.

Not had time to get it up yet. They're supposed to work pretty well I think though.

Pair of these, t'other day:

One of my beloved ContiSportContacts had developed a slow puncture, but I'm cheap (ish) so I thought I'd try some Yokohamas instead. From what I can tell, everything's up to scratch 👍

Oh and if anyone's interested, etyres.co.uk gets my recommendation too.

Perhaps he doesn't really need it, but it would save him some time.

If it's that exact model, believe it won't save time. It'll take 15 minutes to load, crash and then you'll be back to square one.

That particular laptop?

Time to throw a lightweight Linux system on it. Got the same one here, running Xbuntu. Its actually pretty slow. You may require Puppy Linux. Or DSL system.

Or go Slackware and strip it down to barebones.

Wow you guys sure can tell a lot from one picture. The laptop I've bought is a Dell Latitude D520 with Dual Core and 1GB RAM. Sure, it's not going to run BF3 but I think it will be ample for running Office which is all I need it for.

Android FTW.

I have a $100 LG Optimus V with Android through Virgin mobile that suits me just fine. $40 a month isn't bad either.

Anywho, saw these at Wal-Mart tonight for $7.88 each so I snagged them up.

All Blu-Ray steelbooks.

My cat never had a proper scratcher and I don't want to waste lots of space on it. Saw this today and spent 15€ on it.

My collection of racing circuit books, continues to increase.

...

Hey, North Wilkesboro! That's only a couple of hours away from me. My parents used to take me up there every year when it was open.

Tomorrow is payday so today is buy crap day :dopey:

Purchase for me is a new lid in the shape of a Giro Feature in matt titanium

Purchase for the wife to placate her annoyance at me spending more cash of bike stuff is a Wahoo Blue HR, it's a bluetooth heart rate monitor that links to a iPhone 4s without the need for an extra dongle thingy.

Laptop memory upgrading time. Upgrading my Asus laptop from 4GB to 8GB. Getting the 1600MHz speed is quite a waste since my laptop will only run it at 1066MHz but with a $6 coupon it even beat the cheapest 1333MHz 8GB ram set.

G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 - $34.99(with $6 off coupon and free shipping):

I'm just upgrading so I can run two virtual machines without worry of them using all of my current 4GB ram. I've only decided to order it since it was so cheap.

That is awesomesause! You never told me about this when I planned to buy my lid! :(

My latest purchase, or order rather, is this. It's in the mail as we speak.

Yup, it's a mirror. Exciting, eh?

EDIT: Oh, and Battlefield 3, but I'm being given it for free so it's not a purchase.

Cheers :D They also do it in luminous lime green/yellow but it didn't pass the wife taste test ;) To be honest mate your Specialized lid will better suit your needs as it has much better ventilation and will be lighter. The Giro Feature is classed as a trail lid so is a bit like a skate helmet in the way it covers more of the back of your head but with a bit morventilationon and a visor, I'll probably be too hot in it but I like the look of it so I'll just have to sweat.

I've considered getting a mirror for when I take the kids out towed behind my bike, one day I'll get home and they won't be there!

I got BF3 for Christmas from my brother and still haven't put it in the PS3 :guilty:
