Canon 70-200mm F/2.8L USM (Non-IS) and a Canon 2x Extender III

Let me know how those work out for you. I've heard a few people say the 2x extender makes things a touch softer than the 1.4x extender.

Lens should be marvelous to use though.

Don't you guys get stick for wearing pony t-shirts? I'd get beaten by my own friends for wearing those!

With my large and varied shotgun collection, Tom's advanced military training, Brandon's cadre of deadly "trained" animals, and Greg's...

Well, the point is we could easily take on any threat.

The Mini's still around but I'm selling it soon; I don't have the time or money to spend on a vehicle I can't hammer around the farm in - hence the Colt, which I can break and not care about - and I've not driven the Mini for almost a year. I'd rather have it sold to a good home rather than have it sat on the driveway, rotting.

ooowww dude really? I do remember that was the car you took to that 'Ring trip, IK understand the "not let it rot away" part, but really, you surely could drive it more often... so sad :nervous:

EDIT:  @ the "Pros are cons" girl

In contrast to your huge lens, I bought this tiny thing:

Konica 35/2 UC-Hexanon. One out of 1000 made. Also, I just bought the camera that took that photo (Ricoh GRDIII).

Well, I was lucky and was able to hit my own personal jackpot at the local thrift store today. Got these CDs:

And these records:

All for less than $15, taxes included! :D

Nice! I've seen some great images come from a GRDIII, always wanted to try one.

I've got a set of those, they really helped me get faster, especially down hill. I did find while using them that I was discovering new muscles I hadn't used before due to riding like Superman.

How much did they cost? I have two piece set so they weren't so expensive.

Yes, I absolutely love those triathlon handle bars, I'm still amazed of how much they improve my overall performance on the bike.- Not only for downhills sections but it really helps the aerodynamics on long straights too. It makes quite a difference!

The only downside is it scares the living crap out of me when I drive narrow, twisty and bumpy roads downhill with 50-60 mph when using the handle bar. If anything unexpected happens, a bump or a car cutting me off I'm toast. :scared:

They cost me about 120 €. I thought about getting an entire new handle bar, unfortunately my handlebar diameter is 1'' and pretty much all of those triathlon handlebars come in 30mm diameter. I don't want to change my brakes, gear changer etc. to 30mm. (Not to mention those complete handle bars cost in excess of 600 bucks!)
So I got one of those detachable sets, they're 30mm too but they come with shims for 1'' and I don't have to switch everything out for 30mm.

And so another month draws to a close and with it comes the purchase of more unnecessary rubbish essential kit :dopey:

SRAM X7 shifters to replace my still functional but lower spec shifters.

SRAM X7 rear derailleur to replace my very worn and lower spec mech.

Hopefully this will mean more improved gear changes...and look better ;)

Also got some new brake pads after disintegrating a set on a particularly muddy and gritty ride at the weekend and some new calliper mounting bolts and washers due to losing a washer while working on them...no doubt I'll find the missing washer as soon as the new one arrives.

HandlebarSeatpostMount1.jpg

GoPro Seatpost mount.
I'll be able to get some really nice shots of the pegs and suspension on the bike, instead of just a regular helmet mount.

8gb + a slot for Mini SD. For in my car.

I had one of those, it went through the washing machine once (still worked afterwards. I also made the same mistake with an iPod Shuffle) and then I lost it. Never again have I bought small MP3 Players.
