And I'm 14 older than you.

Dear lord that puts me at 21 years older than @hsv, doesn't it?
I saw an iPhone case designed to look like an audio cassette. I showed it to my daughter and asked her what it looked like. "I don't know."

A ticket for The Black Keys in the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf, february next year.
Saw them perform at Werchter yesterday and can't wait to go see them next year.

I bought this when I was at NHRA qualifying yesterday. It's a connecting rod that was autographed by Chris Karamesines. I don't know if he used it in his Top Fuel car or not. I took this picture right after I bought it.

New kicks. Regularly $65, on sale for $55. But they were having an online only 50% off sale for 4th of July weekend, so that made them roughly $27. Found a promo code for free shipping, so got them for $29 with tax. :)

Not a single purchase but a few small purchases that come together to make something i really like.

I got the following

A Oriel Mantle Touch Lamp Base
A lamp shade frame which i cut the outer frame off
A cheap and nasty cone air filter
A 3W pure white LED E27 base

I stripped the white enamel off the lamp shade from and bent the arms upwards then i applied primer then painted black, then i mounted the frame to the lamp base, then installed the LED bulb then i mounted the filter

The end result

A air filter lamp.

I am yet to test its nighttime illumination.

Ok, so we went to Gatlinburg, TN over the weekend, and as it is a place designed to suck every penny from your wallet, I have purchases.

First, black dress shoes. I'm no fashion guru. Comfort first.

Then some new sneakers. Again, just comfort here. Walking is the most strenuous exercise I do.

image.jpg

And then some fun stuff.

Taffy and candy sticks.

Then I visited a spice and tea shop, where I picked up an infuser ball, some Darjeeling, a Blood Orange Smoothie herbal tea, and some smoked paprika, which seems impossible to find around here.

image.jpg

And a trip to a Harry and David garnered me two varieties of low sodium queso and a salsa, as well as some flax seed chips. You corn and/or gluten free folks can have them. They aren't for me. Edible, but not great.

There was a kitchen supply place where I found some cheap straws, smidgen, pinch, and dash measuring spoons, butcher block oil, cheap red wine and balsamic vinegars, and reusable ice cubes.

And finally, I checked out an oil & vinegar store where I got a garlic-infused balsamic and an aged aceto balsamic, as well as two different bottle spouts and a sample bottle of sundried tomato and Parmesan garlic olive oil.

EDIT: I hate when I completely screw up a post's formatting via sheer idiocy.

Why are we not funding this?

I dont know.

But you cant use any old cone filter.

You need to use the cheap an nasty ones off ebay that you know will let crap in, this way you know light will come out.

EDIT: Make sure you get the unoiled filter.

Damn, nice steal. I like Supras but they only manufacture them in baby sizes..

Just ordered these from the New Balance store

Planning on getting another color later on since green isn't really in my color selection when it comes clothes. Still going to wear them though.

I also got this

New Balance pronation correction insole.

Then found these at a thrift store

note: these aren't pictures of the actual items I have, just randoms from the internet
Very similar to the speakers I have for my gaming entertainment center. (in sig)

More money spent on garage repair. Put about 16 more hours into it over the holiday weekend. Getting closer and closer each day. Beauty if being a home owner means there is always something to do.

  • 1 more bag of concrete
  • 1 more bag of mortar
  • 1 door bottom sill plate
  • 1 gallon of concrete paint
  • couple tubes of caulk
  • Drain tile to allow the water to run away from garage. (black hoses)
  • Couple drain tile adapters
  • Circular saw
  • Diamond concrete saw blade (worked amazing)
  • 5 gallon empty bucket
  • Shims

I managed to stuff all this in the WRX. So nice having trunk space now that I designed a thin sub box to hold (1) 12" sub instead of 2 subs.
