I have a fat PS2 that I haven't turned on in a few years. It worked fine back then. Might be interested in giving it away. I can do a brief check to see if the console turns on and DVD drive works.

I might just go ahead and get one off ebay after asking more people. They suggest that. Thanks though. Main reason I'm trying to get one is to play Burnout Revenge again and NASCAR 04 or 06 again as well. Hopefully the ps2 along with the games work well.

Put together a vinyl set up at home wit the addition of a bluetooth audio connector so that we can still use Spotify through the amp. Speakers have now broken in well which has improved the richness and bass. I also added a new Shure cartridge to the Technics deck which made quite a difference too. Overall very happy, especially now that I can dig out all my old vinyl and annoy the entire family with beautiful clarity and added volume. Win win!

They're Q Acoustic's own stands. It's deceptive how tall they are because the speakers are bigger than they look in pictures. They sit about head height when you're sat on an office chair.

EDIT: OK, now I've had another look and they're around shoulder level.

Got this locally for £450, but it has been refurbished and comes with a warranty. £650 appears to be the eBay going rate.

@MeanElf it is indeed, I also got a Parappa the Rapper beanie for my sister because she was obsessed with that game when we were kids. Honestly I'm not usually a big fan of overly obvious or overt game-related branded clothing (hence why I didn't buy any MGS or Borderlands stuff, despite being a fan of both), probably because I grew up with gaming when it was still a geeky thing to be interested in, but for the price I couldn't not get that jumper. I'll probably still only wear it around the flat, though!

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that! The Mrs and me have already been trawling the local vinyl fairs, bringing gasps of "oh, I used to have that!" and "wow, how much is it going for!?". It's also been nice to bring out old records that haven't seen the light of day since the 80's and seeing finger prints you'd left on as a teenager. So many unexpected pleasures to be had from vinyl.

I have bought a couple of new games too:

Late to the show, but I'll finally end this masterpiece of a trilogy. Fetched it on Steam for $16 with all the DLC a few weeks ago. What a GORGEOUS game. I am enjoying it SO much! All the negative I've heard about it were a lie!

Also got it during a Steam sale. $9. I don't know much about this game. I bought it because I had nothing else to buy and it has overwhelmingly positive reviews. I guess it will have to wait since my backlog is quite bloated XD

Another late to the show. I got it a year ago for PS4, but never played it since I really don't game on consoles anymore. I got it for $9 on Steam a few days ago. To my backlog to most likely never be played!!

A huge surprise!! An HD remaster on Steam??! This is pure nostalgia right here, and man did they do a marvelous job with this port! anyone who remembers this platform game from the PS2 era should get this now!!
