Potential Trump tariffs... new addiction to computer technology, living alone with no other responsibilities... I'll probably come to regret this later on, but at least I can part out what will then be my old PC running on 2019 hardware. I'll upgrade to a 50 series card down the line - I am looking to get into environmental design and simulation for the next advancement in my career, so I guess I gotta make this worth it :D

Yeah I take full advantage of being in California...I met almost everyone of my favorite musician and DJ. Now that Im a lot older and the scene has changed I reflect on how lucky I was to be around that...still am.

Flylo is a funny dude, I met him a lot too post Dilla passing...he's always down to talk video games too, I havent seen him in a looong time, last when I chilled with him he was go on and on about Devil may cry. Also was probably one of the few that was super into anime like myself. .

I had to stop myself early on from buying that many records...its not fun when you have to move a ton of vinyl, I developed a method and it still sucks. I heard if you put them into storage they will likely get some kind of mold damage or eaten by mice/rats, was told a huge amount of Peanut Butter Wolfs collection got lost to mold when he put his records in storage. Actually heard that Madlib has a pretty nice house with multiple rooms dedicated to all his records.

That Dilla changed my life shirt also made huge waves out here ...Don't know why I never bought one

Did you see that recent documentry on Hulu about Dilla? I cried like a baby at the end it was soo beautiful

Very jealous that you chilled that often with FlyLo I have to admit😀, I know I repeat myself but he’s a living legend to me, been into his music since 1983 (the album not the year😀), hope there’s a new album coming out soon.
Yeah heard about him being much into video games, he posted a lot about him playing Overwatch too some years ago I remember. And that anime thing fits now you‘re saying it considering his involvement into Yasuke (still have to watch it).

Oh yeah, my strategy is never moving again in my life😅.
Nah I mean I have to because I want to move out of the city center, but it really is a pain in the a**😬 the last time I moved to another country and it was pretty expensive too for most part because of my records.
I’m somewhere between 1200 and 1500 right now I guess, and it’s already pretty packed in my apartment, so I have to stop buying new ones or sell some of my collection at some point (which would be very hard for me).
That PB Wolf thing must‘ve really sucked a lot😬, but do the vinyl itself also get damaged by the mold or just the cover?

Yeah with the shirt it was crazy, he just made it on last minute before the concert if I remember correctly, because he was or is such a Dilla fan and wanted to show him because he knew about his condition, such a cool gesture.
And it was crazy seeing it going all around the world then, made by some humble guy we‘ll always see at the parties and almost nobody knew about his story.

No actually hearing about the movie for the first time, have to check it out (hopefully it’s available in my country), thanks for the recommendation👍

Been living with a 55" Samsung DU7200D for a few weeks now, after my venerable Bravia gave up the ghost. It fits my tight last-minute budget and basic needs. Mostly using it more streaming movies and shows. Only game I use it for is GT7, so the 60Hz refresh rate doesn't bother me.

Good: Price, size, resolution, decent contrast and colors, and doesn't weigh a metric ton

Bad: Typical LCD black levels, and I might hate the included remote

This mirrors the circumstances behind my "purchase" too:

I had a terrible run of bad luck with my 2012 Focus - long, long story but basically had a puncture, another puncture, the first puncture resulted in the rim being bent so that needed to be straightened then not a week later I managed to get ANOTHER puncture, and in the middle of all this the back box (muffler) fell off...

So, rather than keep throwing money into the abyss to keep a not very good car (it has the first gen Powershift transmission) going, I decided to throw money into the abyss to lease one of the cheapest possible brand new cars I could find, a Dacia Sandero Stepway Extreme TCe90 CVT in black. Yes it's a lease and yes it's a 90bhp 1 litre 3 cylinder turbo with a CVT but apart from that I'm excited. It'll be nice to have a car that doesn't smell like it was dredged from a river and doesn't occasionally break in a fantastically expensive manner.

And I went for the Stepway instead of the standard Sandero because the extra ride height will help with getting my enormous toddler in the car without banging his head about a third of the time. And I swear I'll use the roof rails!

Bought a few things recently. The most expensive of which would be the BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro, a very pricey e-ink Android tablet:

Not pictured: The relatively affordable 1.5 TB microSD card I slapped inside of it for storage. These things are getting pretty ridiculous, huh? And don't worry, I made sure to test it with ValiDrive to make sure I didn't receive a fake.

I also grabbed a collection of 4 Lee Chang-dong films, which put me at one film shy of owning all six of his films (all masterpieces, btw)... so I went ahead and bought that one too:

Lastly, I also went on a bit of a Nihon Falcom spree on Steam, grabbing the following titles:

I already owned some of these elsewhere such as PSP/Vita, but they were cheap and it's nice having them all under one roof with Steam achievements and all that jazz.

I bought and I'm expecting some cable extensions for my PC... which essentially are
Excited Episode 1 GIF by Friends

only because the cables in the PSU I bought and showed here are so horrible, thick and unwieldy!

The most expensive mistake in PC building is getting into PC building in the first place!

I'm still on my spending spree. I partially retired last month so now I work less hours for more money. Good old NHS Pensions!
I'm running out of things to buy that will fit in my living room. Latest additions are:

I've started collecting watches but not the expensive variety. I've bought 6 so far, mainly Sekonda and Citizen and I've a few more on my Amazon "Save for later" list. I got a case that holds 12 to display them in so will sort that out next week.

I’m interested to know if it’s suitable for 5 year old? I know it’s got 12 on the cover, but that’s usually because someone says “****”.
I’m not the best person to judge it, as I was pleased to see some parents taking a 5 year old to see the second Beetlejuice film.

I also grew up watching Horror and SciFi films and got my first 18 anime at a very young age too.

So I may feel it’s fine but others may not.
