fairladyz32ndson and I.

Ya boi!! That's some tight drifting dude. I've been busy the last few Sat., but I'll have to try to drop in with you guys some weekend soon. Great shots 👍

Haha sweet Gunz. I missed those days with maniackz and you on that track.

I saw some nice, and some stupid photos lol. Please don't use a miniature effect. And stop taking photos from understeer or just a straight wheel without angle. GOSH ! I feel like I got stabbed in my stomach sometimes.

Hmm that's funny, I didn't see any 'stupid' pictures. And since you asked so nicely for people to stop using the miniature filter, I dedicate this set to you :dopey:....

Well, here she is. This is one of those cars that I've had since I first got the game when it came out, but never really used. Decided to give it a try last week, and liked what I found :) Getting the tune dialed in, and it's turning into a really fun car. I also figured out that this is where that Vintage Red that's on my chaser comes from lol.

So after trying the miniature filter and liking some of the results, I thought I'd give it another go. I'd been planning on shooting this RX-7 in the rain at Suzuka since I started driving it. After trying a few shots with the miniature filter, I figured I could work with it, and decided to shoot the whole set with it. Some of the pics don't look that real, but I was going for more of an artistic look as opposed to realistic. Hope it worked lol.:nervous:

A very wet, early morning lap of Suzuka:

Soon or late, you will know what I mean . Just go to the photogallieries and search the realistic thread 👍.

BKS very nice photos !

The same car in white and out of focus in order to not see it's lowres look :grumpy:

Focus on the car

The GNX is a really nice car to drift and the Infiniti was the one i first started to even try drifting in, maybe no the best car but meh it looks sick and I was a total noob.

First post on the forum btw! Yey! Been stalking it for a year now -.-

K I tried to hold my tongue the first time, but screw it. Did it ever occur to you that I really don't give a 🤬 what you mean, or what you think? Do you actually read posts that you reply to, or just spew garbage through your fingers? I clearly said that I know some of the photos dont look "real", but that wasn't a concern for that photo shoot, as I was doing it more as an artistic project, and to see what is possible with the miniature filter. I suppose you would like it more if every photographer stuck to the established conventions, and didnt try to experiment at all?

I found your initial comment to be extremely rude to a lot of the people in this thread, people who put in a lot of hard work into taking their photos. Calling people's pics "stupid"...there's absolutely no need for that. I have yet to see you post any photos, let alone try to provide good coverage of an entire night of drifting. Maybe once you drop as many excellent photos as the86d (unless I'm completely misreading your post, is the person who's photos you are calling stupid) your opinion might matter.

As for your comment about the front wheel angle, maybe you don't realize this, but sometimes when you are trying to capture several cars in a shot, you have to make a few comprimises to fit all the cars in the shot. Sometimes this means pausing the replay when one or some of the cars don't have ideal front wheel angle. On behalf of DS3 users everywhere, I offer you a sincere apology for our floppy front wheels. We can't all be wheel gods like you.

I usually don't get upset by crap that people say on teh interwebz, so I apologize in advance for flying off the handle like this. I'm not trying to start any beef with either you or your team, and I realize that you're kind of a "big deal" around here, but that doesnt give you the right to waltz in here and start slamming other people's work....just a piece of that "friendly advice" you so like to share with everyone...

I'm all for constructive criticism and feedback on my work, in fact I encourage it, as my goal is always to improve my work, but I'm not willing to take straight up negative comments from someone whose posts are just oozing with arrogance. If you don't like the photos, that's fine, you're entitled to you opinion, but if you can't find a positive way to offer advice or chritisizm, then don't bother saying anything.

Have nice day :)

Damn right you did.

I took some drift pictures in my 380RS Super Leggera, but my PS3 crashed so I never bothered going back on and pulling them off. I'll do it another time :)

@86, damn i'm quite surprised at how much dish is kept with those aftermarket wheels! I may be changing my F40s wheels today D:

👍 yup. surprised me too so I stuck w/ this set.

woah woah woah woah. How did one S13 have the flip ups out and one not? it's a standard, so there's no light controls? Sick pics

I noticed that too, it threw me off at first.

@ Cerebus, thank you  I'm gonna change the title of that set lo cause of that comment.....

Very nice pics. I really like the brown/beige on the 180. You certainly have a way with making those standards look goooood. Nice "trick" with the lights (was it planned?)...I see whut you did thar...

That's a time change track, it doesn't get completely dark there but it gets dark enough for the lights to turn on

Wait I just realized that only one car has the lights on

Thanks guys! Me and Sean were just drifting around the track like normal. Then a wild question appears:

Sean: "Hey! How come my flip lights are on and yours aren't?"

Me: "Oh really? Lets get pics of it!"

Sean: "You do realize they can come up any second, dont you?"

Me: I'm willing to take that risk!"

LOL ! Did I call your photos stupid ?
- I drift with 86d a lot
- I use a controller my self ( like most here ) , that doesnt mean you could not avoid no angle or understeer. Look to kingklick for example.
- I said I don't like miniature myself, in fact I hate it. So what you think about it is your opinion, I am not forcing anyone to use this or that. I don't like mushrooms either.

Stop calling my team a big deal lol, my team has nothing to do with this, I am giving a personal comment.
I'm just saying what I like or don't like, I'm not trying to be rude, I just say those things and hope people will try better next time because a time after you take a photo like that you will realise that they are not nice at all. That's what you will notice later as well. By looking to the realisistic thread Im just trying to suggest you to look how you should make better photos and not that your photos are a piece of 🤬.

I don't know how you will look on this, I don't mean anything to hurt someone. Its just a game so I try to give you advice...

You saying I understeer du?! :grumpy:

You're right though, most of my cars are setup to be understeer-biased, it helps when chasing :sly:

No Kingklick, I mean that you are one of the smoothest drifters I have ever seen with a controller. SKR Kaizer was also damn smooth.

Stop calling my team a big deal lol, my team has nothing to do with this, I am giving a personal comment.
I didn't call your team a big deal, I called you a big deal. I know this has nothing to do with your team.

- I use a controller my self ( like most here ) , that doesnt mean you could not avoid no angle or understeer. Look to kingklick for example.

K we're talking about different things here. You are saying its possible to be smooth with the steering inputs on a ds3...I completely agree with you on that, I'm working on perfecting that myself.

What I was talking about is when you are trying to take a picture and capture several cars in the frame, sometimes you have to make comprimise. Like I said, in order to fit all the cars in the frame, sometimes you have to pause the replay when one or more car has less than ideal front wheel angel. There are two solutions to this. 1, don't take the photo. 2, have the people driving the cars in the photo be better drifters, and therefore more consistant with their wheel angle...but then that's a critique of a person's driving style, and not of the photo...

I'm just saying what I like or don't like, I'm not trying to be rude, I just say those things and hope people will try better next time because a time after you take a photo like that you will realise that they are not nice at all. That's what you will notice later as well. By looking to the realisistic thread Im just trying to suggest you to look how you should make better photos and not that your photos are a piece of 🤬

So your saying one day I will wake up and realize those photos suck (or in your words, "are really not nice")?? If that's not rude, I don't know what is. I'll "try harder" next time.

And IMO, simply telling people to look at the realistic photo thread is not really offering constructive, helpful advice (especially when the main focus of the photos you are critiquing had nothing to do with looking realistic ). You're saying "I don't like your photos...here's some photos I do like (the ones in the realistic photo thread), you should try to make your photos look like these." To me, that's not really helpful advice.

Anyways, this has got a little out of control, so I'm not going to continue this debat any longer. We clearly have a difference of opinion, and that's ok. My only request is that if you are going to critique people's pics, you try to chose your words a little more carefully, and try offering actual constructive advice. No hard feelings - we're part of a pretty small community here, I'm sure we'll end up on a track together some day.

I really like those black and white pics Nismo. The sky looks amazing!

Great pics E. Such a wide variety of cars turned up last night, that was tons-o-fun lol. That pic of Marc's Delorian is dope.

Twitcher & Duman, please take your business to PMs. I'm sick of seeing arguing and hatred everywhere I go. It's no offence to you guys, but please. No-one wants to read your posts. Take them to PMs were you can resolve the matter on a one to one basis.

Peace & love to both you guys!

To my post legit:
