No, "lifes'" is not the correct punctuation. It goes like this:
life's = belonging to one life
lifes' = belonging to more than one life
The number of things doing the belonging is irrelevant.
And while we're on punctuation, you only drop the 's' at the end if it's a plural possession as above. Therefore, if Giles really knows his onions, they're Giles's onions.
And let's get the its it's thing sorted while we're at it:
its is possessive by implication. Therefore if we're talking about the onions that belong to it, they're its onions.
Its with an apostrophe is used to denote an abbreviation, therefore "it is" becomes "it's", so "it's for sure that a lot of people are wondering if they're really Giles's onions or if it's his marbles that are lost".
