Oh well at least I disconnected on the first lap. I DC’d an hour in to a 90 minute race in GTS on Saturday too, don’t know what’s wrong with my connection lately
You can put me up for GT3/E from now on. That's a hard no to the touring cars.
Well one thing is hards weren't the right choice. Once it went to night they are too cold and have much less grip. Alot of it will come to setup too.I think i do need some help getting up to pace i have improved a bit but still way off pace. Not sure if i dont drive hard enough or my setup is off. After an hour (fuel stop) hard slicks were 1/4 worn and cold still. Oil temp at 96°. Brakes at 141° still cold.
Yeah i was hoping to stretch the stint out to not stop but fuel just wasnt there. Let me start by saying thanks to @sgohsixthree for allowing me to run last night, I really appreciate it. Last night was a lot of fun. I really enjoy this style of endurance racing and am glad that SRM has set this up for everyone. I really liked the incorporation of the "random" weather slot, it kept me on my toes the whole time. It forced me to have multiple pit strategies ready to go in the event of wet weather.
My game-plan of the race was to run 2 stints with 1 pit stop, pending no rain. I started on SOFT comps. and ran long on them having my fuel consumption be the governing factor of when I would pit. My fuel was down to 12 L with 39 min. to go. I would of gone one more lap, but the tires were pretty twitchy by that point, thus I pitted. Took on 60L of fuel and a fresh set of SOFT comps. I was consuming 5.9 - 6.1 L/lap for the entirety of the race. Once I was out of the pits and hit the Mulsanne straight, I selected my WET pit stop strat. using the ICM. This way if it rained I was ready for it. Like everyone, I was driving conservative only pushing the car 85% - 90%, and trying to keep a pace around 3:55's. Towards the end, as the sun came back up I began pushing a little harder all the way up to the end keeping the car in the 3:53's.
Overall, I look forward to the next event at SPA, and can't wait to get back on track with everyone. Again thank you @sgohsixthree and SRM as a whole for putting on this series, and allowing me to run last night.

Great pace @HazardLvL4 you had that thing moving. Pb for me in the race 4:00.217 (3:58.x pb on softs on my own)i was on hard and with no draft could only muster 175mph on the straights. Had a blast i was hoping to do better but i pitted once went good then i binned the car amd had to stop a second time.. i too am looking forward to SPA and will run the NSX GT3 again
Thanks sgohsixthree and SRM for a great race night. I love endurance racing. The last league I was in did the same thing with Le Mans but made the race 2.4 hrs. I had a pretty good car last night. I made 3 stops last night. I probably could have done it in 2, but I had enough of a lead on Mike that I was able to get a splash of fuel on the 2nd to last lap to seal the deal for 3rd place. I look forward to the next race at Spa on 7/31.
It was a rough night for me, anytime I was near another car I stuffed it into the wall. Was having a **** day to begin with so RAGEQUIT!
Are we running Lemans again or is the next endurance race at Spa? I would run Lemans again, but I think I am on nights for that race.
So in Project Cars 1 tire temp was handled completely differently from Project Cars 2. In Project Cars 2 tire temp is mainly driven by brake temp. As the brakes heat up they radiate heat into the rim and tire. Thus, keeping your brakes in the optimal temp. range is key to keeping warm tires, this can be tuned by your brake duct opening %. Now, that doesn't mean the friction generated by driving and direction change has not effect, just not as large as it once was in the first game. Here is something I posted in PITS 2 a while back:

Temp. across the tire = 10 - 20 deg. F or 5 - 10 deg. C (Can be tuned via camber)
Overall Tire Temp:
Soft Comp = 70 - 85 deg. C (158 - 185 deg. F)
Hard Comp = 90 - 95 deg. C (194 - 204 deg. F)
Brake Temps: (Steel Brakes)
Straights (Temp. should stabilize) = 300 deg. C
Hard braking max. temp. = 650 - 700 deg. C
Telemetry: (Travel)
When "Travel" flashes “Red” It means you are beginning to engage the bump stop, or getting to the limits of the suspension's movement.
Rough targets for the main tire groups:
Formula Cars (IndyCar, FX, FA, FR3.5): 1.7bar front / 1.45bar rear (24psi / 21psi) at road circuits. The Dallara IR-12 oval/speedway tires like up to 45psi on the right side.
Modern GT & LMP: ~1.8bar front and rear. Maybe down to 1.6bar for a very slow track like Long Beach or higher to 1.90-1.95bar at Le Mans to squeeze a little bit more off the rolling resistance.
Touring cars & V8 Supercar: 2.0-2.15bar front and rear
Ford Fusion Stock Car: 2.4-2.6bar front and rear for road courses. Ovals might go to 3.0bar+ (45-50psi) on the right side
Light sportscars (Radical, BAC, KTM, etc): ~1.6bar (24psi)
Road car tires: All in the 2.1-2.2bar (29-32psi) range hot. Any MotorTrend readers will know how much they stop every few laps and bleed pressure to hold that target during the BDC tests.
Vintage GT: Roughly the same range as modern GT
Vintage Group 6 & Formula: Bit more flexible here. Something in the 1.7bar (25psi) range is usually a good starting point up to 2.0bar (29psi) or down to 1.2bar (17psi) to adjust for balance on something wild like the Lotus 72D
Congrats @SGETI and @HazardLvL4 on there wins you guys were really moving along on Le Sarthe track!
