Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to Project Cars 2 and was wondering if there were any open spots for the Nurburgring 24H endurance race this coming Tuesday. If there are, may I enter? If so how do we go about car selection?
Hi! Thanks for your interest. I can stick you as a reserve driver, but keep in mind there are 2 people ahead of you. Even still, there is a decent chance you can get in if someone drops last minute. You can still pick a GT4 (no Porsche or Ginetta) so you're ready to go. There is also a chance we run the race tomorrow or next Sunday as well for giggles. Also, send me a friend request on PSN: smcinnis, maybe add a note about posting on GTPlanet in it.

Thank you. I will do some testing tonight and decide on a GT4 vehicle. As a heads up, my participation in the future may be limited as I don't have any of the DLC tracks/cars.
[EDIT] Two hours left and a Porsche isn't leading!!! Finally! Go AudiR8!
Looks like I will make it to the races on Tuesday. It will be either the BMW M3 or the KTM.
Is pit stop mandatory?
Are we on for tonight possibly? I would like to race the Toyota GT-86 Rocket Bunny.
Great practice yesterday, I need to find a few seconds with the Boss 302r if I'm too compete. Was going to put a practice lobby in a few. I'll invite.
Is there a spot for me? I would like to run this. Also, What are the start times and qual length? I have time in the Mustang and Aston.

Random Caution/Code 60s! (Wait what?!?!)
....Yeah, you heard that right. In an effort to give myself more 🤬 to do before, during, and after the race, I introduce RANDOM CAUTIONS / YELLOWS / CODE 60s! How will this work? I have an app called Randomity Timer that I can specify for a random range of times to change color. I'll use those times and colors to determine Green / Yellow sessions. So it works like this:So much explaining in my future. Why do I do this to myself.
I will call 'Yellow' in voice chat. (Or 'Caution is out' or some such.) Cautions can happen anytime 10 Minutes after the start of the race, and 10 Minutes before the end of the race. Cautions are NOT guaranteed. Cautions will last between 5 and 10 Minutes. It is possible there will be multiple cautions called. Once in a caution is called, the Leader slows to 60 KPH (37MPH) Pit Limiter Speed The rest of the field can catch up, but cannot pass, and slow in position behind the person in front. Lapped cars may pass the leaders, but not each other, and continue until catching the car in front of them. The Pits will always be open. You may pit under Yellow. The end of the Yellow will be called by me to the leader. The leader then controls the restart, and can restart the race at any point on the track they wish by calling GREEN! Another caution period may then happen 10 minutes after the leader is notified of end of Yellow.

And @SGETI , I was only hitting 159 MPH on that backstretch before the incline.
What's the weather gonna be likeAwesome! No mandatory pit. If you can make it go for it!
What's the weather gonna be like
LOL thanks I didn't scroll far enough downShould I be that guy? First Page Brah!
Ok, I know you guys can't be bothered. So Random, Random, Random, Random with weather progression on 60X. At that rate we'll have about 240 Thunderstorms. But really...

I'll be in the Aston Martin GT4Cool man, no open spots now, but I'll stick you as a reserve! If the room is not full after 8:10 EST I'll invite. The race starts at 8:30 sharp barring any restarts.
That's about where I am with the BMW, I might top out at 165 going downhill. We'll have each other at least, it can get lonely out there.

Anyone in the rtr struggling for pace I thought they patched that bs when they fixed the brz I might end up switching to the brz if I can't get rtr to do more than 150 down straights
I'm barely getting@Stanc03 I ran about 3 laps in the GT86 last night and was having the same problem, hitting ~148 until it went "downhill" slightly and then got to 150-151 (was struggling with getting the revs in 6th, like it was bogging down in top gear). Went back in and set the final drive for a little more acceleration and managed to do about 165-168 down the straight, and that was before the little downhill.
