Go slow, make the angle before the turn and press the accelerator in a smooth, rapid motions instead of just flooring it out. Hope that helps. oh and a good setup for your car helps as well.

be sure you aren't over-powering the car...simulation means it's going to be realistic. so keep your HORSEPOWER realistic to match.

yeah, im practicing w. my chaser, and im using a stage1 turbine. so yeah. man, what sux is that i thought i was good @ drifting to find out that i was n00bing it b/c i was using a mix of slick(rear) supersoft (front) tires. AHHH

how many of u use simualtion and have a video for me to use as ref.

Gran Dorifto was performed using sim tires ;) a stage 1 turbo might be too much...the chaser has a LOT of horsepower stock. ive produced a few videos...dont know if you've seen them.

ill try and release a video of my "non simulation tire" drifts in a few weeks. sad thing is u guys wont prolly give me much props cuz im not using simulation tires.. ):

Leave the HP stock on the chaser and just work on drivetrain, suspension and brakes, and weight reduction. Get the right settings and makes a farely good drifter. :D Just be careful with that x button, it's a torqey sucker and is easy to spin if your not careful. I find braking drifts or scandinavian flicks work best with sim tire cars. Inertia drifts are also rather rewarding, though controlling them may be a bit hard at first. ;)

hey unkn0wn,
instead of using sim tyres, why dont you get used getting it a bit sideways with sports tyres 1st.
it should be heaps easier, then when you find it easy to do a track with sports THEN put the simies on..
just a tip that i usually use
hope it helps..:)

[Mental Note]: when having sports tryes on, and you cant get it going sideways, try putting mopre power on....and when simies are on, take some power off..

errr....hope that all makes sense, i re-read it and im sorta confused...but hey... a least pretend to know what im saying

Well that's not true for me at all. I'll give anyone props as long as the drifting is good. And as long as you don't start bashing sim tires like some other people have done you will get my respect.

yeah, that did make sense. You might even want to try normals before going to sims. I find 500hp with normals give pretty much the same feelling as 300hp with sims.

Or y not slicks on all tires before you go to sims... I use both but slicks are definitely easier ( less chance that you will spin although its still very very possible)... I usually use 300-450 with slicks on rear wheel drive cars and stock to 350 on sims... on 4wd i use up to 100 more hp... pm me if you want more details... but i prolly wont respod for a bit...

i use normals on everything except for cars with more than 1000hp

LM cars i use sport tires

i used sims to learn, but then i switched over to normals cuz i like the feeling of them better.

I use sims on my Mines Skyline, and it's pretty well behaved all things considered. I'd say I stick between about 185hp-385hp on FR's based on power band, P/W ratio, etc., and between 350-450hp normally on AWD's. I do have a Alto Works drifter, but it's not to slippery with no torque and 200 or so hp. :( Maybe I just need some settings.

I find that sims were much easier to learn than anything else I tried, and provide a much more relistic simulation(go figure) of how a car on real tires handles. Slicks drifting is much to arcady and twitchy for my taste, plus no real life drifters use 900hp slicks cars for drifting. ;) Sports would be as far as I would go, and only with cars between 400-600rwhp. AWD's about the same.
