Yes there is a skyline like that and your right it was named after Nurburgring but it's generally called the Vspec II Nur and there is also an M spec Nur. these were the final cars produced of the current style of GTR's. Only about 1000 were made tho so they're kinda expensive.

Here is the official page from nissan for the Nur skyline

Here is the R34 GTR site from nissan:

i have a question, people talk about bumping up the horsepower up to 1000+ or so. how much would something like that cost, assuming you have just bought a stock R34?

Well It all depends on what you do Veilside has an R34 skyline that has 1360 horsepower without NOS and is still street legal...I have no idea how much that cost but bumping a skyline up to 1000+ hp wouldn't cost anywhere near trying to do that to any other car. Here is the reason: the skyline engine is just about indestuctable, it can take up to 1000 hp on the stock internals wich means that you don't have to upgrade pistons and all of that other crap you would have to do to other cars. All you would really have to do is strap on huge turbo's and upgrade the feul system :embarrassed: I've seen a skyline where a guy somehow rigged a F-16 fighter jet's feul pump to it...When he drives with it on he has to turn of everything electrical to meet the power needed to run the pump....Now you don't have to go to those extreems to get power but I guess it was more a bragging thing than anything else... Back to the 1000+ hp Now if you still want drivability intead of a constant 1000 hp you could always add NOS, I've seen one with 3 bottles on it :P Anyway the skyline I drove here in the US was a stock R34 but still hauled ass so you really don't need all that power....The key word was NEED but hey who wouldn't mind 1000 Hp? anyway I'm not sure how much it would cost but lemme do some reaserch and I'll get back to you with a $$$$ figure ;)

Warning: Do not leave children and muscle cars unattended.(1360hp)

HERE IS THE VEILSIDE SKYLINE (1360hp):

ok here is what I have so far:
To get this car such an awsome horsepower figure veilside wanted to use an HKS turbo. The HKS GT3240 ball bearing turbo is rated at about 600 hp@1.4-bar. More than enough power for any average car; but nowhere near the potential power of the skyline....so what did they do you ask???? simple they used TWO at 2.7 Bar wich is 39.16026 psi!!!!!!!!!! The engine can also handle 10,000-plus rpm revs!!!! (drooling yet?) anyway for this turbo HKS charges $4015.00 USD each add some HKS 1000cc feul injectos for $255.00 each. This brings the grand toatal to : $9560 USD for your 2 turbos and six injectors for your :mischievous: 1000+hp skyline...this should be pocket change if you can afford a skyline....or another 10 years of eating ramen noodles if you can't!!! (for those of you who have no idea what ramen noodles are they are dried noodles that cost about 10 cents a pack...extreemly cheap so you can save for your skyline!)

( you may still need things like a boost controller, new feul pump and EMS but I'm just giving a rough figure.) If anyone want's an exact figure just ask but It will take a while and I'm not going to do it if no one cares :P

I have a film on video called 'Max power Beasts from the east' its about 4,5 years old now but they film a ride in 1000+hp Skyline tuned by Top secret, through a Tokyo underpass at night 0 to 200+mph in like no time at all totally awesome those guys are hero's.

well when some punk pulls up in a "insert car here" just smile, rev up to 8000 RPM, wait for the light, drop the clutch and take off. Then you can stop at the next light and wait while he makes his way over with his mouth open in awe and his tail between his legs and wink at his girlfriend :P

lol, lol, lol @ ramen noodles! :D

as for the rest, thanks guy, i am actually amazed it costs so little. i would have thought 1000bhp would cost $100k+, so let me get this straight, u buy a stock skyline for $80k, add on $20k of extras and you have a car that can beat any other stock car ever made right? including mac f1 and ferrari f50, for a FRACTION of their price...

now i know why i like the skyline so much hehe

ps. i saw the f16 fuel pump thingy too, clearly just for bragging rather than practicality.

and i've seen the beasts from the east thing too. in fact something similar happened to me, but i was passed by a gt2 and not a skyline. i was cruising along the autobahn in germany at 110mph when i saw something moving up REAL fast in my rear view mirror, i checked my speedo just to be sure, and moved into the middle lane and a gt2 passed me. i just managed to read gt2 off the back before it was past the horizon and gone forever! :D it passed me so quickly that it rocked my car, just as though it was standing still.

oh yeah another question for gtrguy, if i was gonna get a skyline within the next 5 years, which would be the best version to get? since i'd eventually want to mod it up to something respectable (800hp+) what would be the best version to get... like is it worth forking out the extra $$$'s for m-spec or v-spec if ur gonna mod it anyway? or should i just call up veilside and ask for their car? :D

thx

paul

I'd go for the R-34 :D It looks the best and has all the new technology....I'll try to make a chart showing the difference between regular and Vspec skylines :)

Ok I made the list (below) for the Vspec.....Jeez maybe I should just move to japan and be a nissan tech or someting.... :lol:It will only get worse as I get closer to buying one... :odd: I think I need therapy or somethin

one more thing.....in japan the government limits the max horsepower of a car to 280 HP and the skyline has..... how funny 280 HP...Now I don't know what they did (maybe take off the turbos?) but thats the offical HP....Now we all know that's not right so someone put a stock R34 on a 4WD dyno and how strange......it has 328  I love those guys at Nissan.

Sounds great for the straight run, but 1000 hp on a turn while racing sounds a bit excessive. Plus I know a few cars that would give you a run for your money and probably spent half of what you did too.

Don't get me wrong here, I am a tuner too, and I love to see creations like this. I have a different aspect on what the car should do. . . aka none straight runners. I believe you win a race in the corner, exit speed in everything. If you can't exit, you can't race.

 I'll be so far ahead I'd have more that enough time to slow down and take that turn!... Seriously though just turn down the turbo's as low as they will go and you have most of your handling back and you can take those turns no problem, after all the skyline was designed for the track :embarrassed: (Super HICAS a.k.a the 4 wheel steering will come in handy too!) also if you know there are turns you wouln't use all 1000 hp and unless your racing a dragster probably won't ever have to :P
