And a race strip. dear god.
I took if off for now. I'll redo it when I get the money and time. Ended up doing the hubcaps with the can I bought.

She needs a wash. Badly.

Also, the eventful part of my drive home from work.

Note that I didn't romp on it to get up to speed.and I was nowhere near the limits of the machine. Although as you'll see towards the end, taking blind corners wide is sketchy.

I know that road!:dopey:

Although I don't remember it being that bumpy.
:D I figured you would

You know we only did things on that road with cars.

The winter took it's toll on it. I noticed it yesterday morning going into work that it was rougher than usual. Coming back it was way worse on that side. Local roads as a whole around here have gotten really bad from this years winter.

Roads are getting beat up in the adirondacks :(

That road being a barely traveled on back road is rarely kept up anyways as you can see so it was never good with to begin with (the only just laid down stone towards the end of the first road this year) but its gotten exponentially bad since @Beeblebrox237, @Bopop4 and I went out on it in Beeble's Honda Fit.

I'd imagine once spring rolls around they will just patch like like they always do for the locals that live there. I'm waiting for the thaw. I wouldn't be surprised if it floods out like it usually does.

Is there any damage to the van other than the tire (obviously)? Just be happy that snow bank was there to "catch" you, could've been worse that's for sure!

Only damage I saw was to the front end, theres a small separation between the bumper and the fender with some chipped paint but nothing too bad. I can probably bend it back.

Dude change the burnout tires before going to work.
But it's FWD

Did you bounce too much or tire blew out mid turn?

Edit

I'm thick...
It just went out driving normally. It was vibrating to the point I couldn't go over 30.

The tire looks worn. really worn...
It wasn't. The camera quality sucks so it didn't pick up the tread good. It was worn, but not enough to be dangerous yet.

I took this pic of the opposite side tire. They were identical in wear.

Inner seems good, but the outer?

Ouch, that sucks. Hope it doesn't cost too much to fix. Hopefully there is no internal damage... :scared:. As said before, that snow bank probably saved you from much further grief!

I got a deal on a wheel because I knew people, so I got it for $15. Put a $90 tire on it. I'm going to get the other one replaced on Thursday. No serious damage, just a small gap/crack by the wheel arch. The road was flat under the snow bank and I would have stopped long before hitting a tree.

And regarding your replacement car question: Get SVO.. or the 2.3 stang.
I'm really trying to stay away from 4 cylinders. I would consider an SVO, but they are rare and incredibly out of my budget.

Just like that Cobra II I posted into our convo?
I haven't had a chance to check that yet (I did get your message btw, don't think I'm ignoring you).

I'm not looking to spend more than $2,500 including the cost to put it on the road (first month insurance, DMV registration, title transfer, inspection etc).

This statement together with the tires and that snow bank.. Dude start riding a ****ing bike to work before you injure someone. We've all been there, but bragging about **** like that makes you look like an idiot and/or a disaster just waiting to happen.

I wasn't bragging.

This is the reason why all you kids have super high insurance on any car that can go faster than a van (and probably still have high insurance on vans  ).

You'll never know how wrong you are until you get yourself in trouble so I'll just leave it at that. Good luck with the driving, after seeing that video I almost feel like suggesting you get an old muscle car would be like telling someone on the roof of a building "JUMP!".

Btw, I'm amazed you are so against a 4 cylinder. Many of the 4cyl. I've driven would feel like a top fuel dragster compared to that van... Maybe you should re-think that approach? It really could open a world of excellent options that cover both sporting and economy.

The video was a one time ordeal and won't be replicated. Most of the time I drive like a grandpa  But I never floored it or even went over half throttle in the video otherwise its a hella lot quicker.
