Update: An old drift machine that's stayed basically unaltered since GT1. On R1's and over 450hp, it certainly can do the grip thing... but not when the suspension and downforce are favouring the front
. I really hate the sky on Clubman, it ruined a good many pics I took, and there's more than a few here that I feel lose something because of the bad textures. For being a street car though, the 240 is detailed nicely, and it can look pretty real under the right settings
Greycap - You know, that's the only R33 I have, unless you count the Nismo GT-R LM Road Model, and the 400R. That colour is far better imho than any of the regular R33 ones, and it shows up pretty often. Of course the R34 wheels look natural on it, but I'm tempted to find some Nismo Z wheels and see how they look. In that colour you really see the styling characteristics that carried over to the R34; before that shoot, I always got the feeling there was a huge jump between the two.
Sejtur - Thanks
. I didn't expect the clouds to look any good on Tsukuba Wet, since I've only done the Special Condition races on it and avoided it since, but I was pleasantly surprised when the pics were finished. Quite the opposite of my Clubman/SSR5 experiences
.
Alpha - You're too kind! I really did try to work the angles on the RS6 to minimize the appearance of paper rims, but I could only do so much :-/. I've warmed up to Suzuka, but I'm still not as brave as you when it comes to race tracks; I still haven't taken the plunge and shot at Fuji yet
. This set seems to have the same issue as the R33; the thumbnails again miss out on how nice the car looks in the shots (but gets the shoddy backgrounds about right).
Spyker - As I said to Greycap, the pick of the R33 litter has to be the Limited Edition that I shot, imo. It just has something the rest of the (frankly boring-looking) R33 lineup is lacking. That shade of blue is just impossible to shot wrong
. Glad I'm warming you up to the R33's, though, as they used to be my least favourite of the new-gen Skylines too!
