That's good to know ... I like Cube better too
for the bling bling .. I probably the first person in GTP showing this rim in photomode with my Volvo 240. It gave me a good laugh. For the George V, I love to run the wrong way when I taking a shot from the back, so that all the Gran Turismo banner on top will be on the other way (being less visible), and it gives the feeling you are driving around paris instead of a track :D

shots are good ... just not unique enough

HAHA! I am honored to have the most beautiful spinning wheels in the game dubed the "440 Rims!" Don't they just look stunning with all of the reflections and sparkles! Magnificant! Your pictures look great Slip!đź‘Ť

And can't stand to see any wheels standing still in photodrive. All of the jaggies and no 3rd dimension to them. They have to be spinning!

I think I may have an update coming soon! I just have to get a few of them together and cleaned up and I should have a good variety of shots to upload! Even some race cars if you can believe that!

Nissan 240RS Rally Car @ Grand Canyon

Update: Figured I'd end the Nissan week on a high note. I apologize for the size of the update (29 in total), I tried to keep it as small as possible, but I like the shots. Other than the Nissan name on the hood, the car's detailed superbly. I still hate Grand Canyon as a track, but for photos it's pretty good.

Alpha - It's definitely my favourite shot of the mix. The 440 rims (heh) in my opinion only work well on highly reflective, atmospheric tracks (George V, Motegi) obviously mixed with profile shots. Otherwise you don't really get to take advantage of their reflectivity. I'll probably use them again sometime, the G35 was simply to test the waters. I know it's a game... but I still feel funny driving around on rims like that ;).

Franz - So it was you who gave that advice! I read that a long time ago, about heading in the opposite direction, so that's just what I did. I'll take the criticism too; I got that feeling when I saw the thumbnail set, I remember thinking "hmmm... not a whole lot of variety". I was testing the rims, and I guess they kinda limit the angles I can take. If I ever do recycle them for another shoot, I'll definitely not constantly focus on the rims only :).

440 - I know what you mean about stationary wheels in Photomode. There's been countless shots of mine I've thrown away because the wheels looked awful. Sometimes I'll get an acceptable amount of a rotation on them, so they can pass as looking a bit realistic, but if the shot calls for too much shutter speed, I have to just scrap it. I'm looking forward to the update; believe it or not, I can picture some race cars with your rims on them (the Camaro LM and Viper GTS-R come to mind ;)).

Enjoy everybody, I'm quite proud of this batch :)

Oh yes you should be, rally pictures are pretty difficult and can look like very discusting because....the mud/smoke that is captured can be very unreal most of the times:yuck:

You, on the other hand, seem to have done it great:tup: No unrealistic mud/smoke in the pictures, very nice angles, nice car, nice colors:tup:

It's modest in some way but they're REALLY great:tup::D Take modest as a compliment cause the pictures dont distract eachother. They're nice for the eye:tup::)

Wow. You don't stop, do you? ;)

I won't talk about any shot in particular, but all these last 3 sets look very, very good. Wonderful colours and good framing in general. đź‘Ť

GT4Fan - You have no idea how many shots I threw away because of unrealistic dirt. If a cloud cut into a wheel or body part, it was tossed. If there were jaggies from the cloud touching the ground, it was tossed (though the second-last shot has a hint of it). I did the same thing with my Stratos set. It's definitely possible to get really good rally shots, people just need to be mindful of the awful particle effects ;). As for the modest part, that was all part of the plan :). I'm trying to be easier on the colours, going for more of a natural look. I added a bit of red because I just always felt the Grand Canyon deserved more đź‘Ť

Greycap - Y'know, I shot that one knowing you'd enjoy it :). This track was made for scenery! I actually had a really scenic shot where the car was hardly even visible, but the lame 2d spectators put that one out to pasture :(.

Diabolical - I really don't, but I'm done with Nissans for a bit. I have a good three more sets involving them, but I think that for now, I can focus on some other companies. I've been itching to shoot a few Hondas, new and old, and some more American muscle đź‘Ť

Ugh, Imageshack isn't showing four of the shots. If this keeps up, I'll reupload them. Keep the comments coming guys :)

I've run out of positive things to say here. So, just pretend I said something nice or really clever.

Seriously though, just keep posting!

I love all of your last update. It has a nice artistic look to it. The one that Greycap pointed out would look good as a mural on a wall, or even a poster. đź‘Ť

Also, if you have time, please take a look at my galley, and give feedback if you like it. :)

Tabs - Heh, fair enough! It's good you've come to that conclusion, actually; I've run out of new, exciting ways to say positive comments for your stuff. We're even!

mprata - Not to mention often (a bit too much, really). Though, if you give it the thumbs up, I'm glad you're enjoying it :)

Duck - Already visited, will do it again when you update :). I'm actually going to print off some of the 240 shots (both the RS and SX) for a Christmas idea. I hope they turn out.

StLucian - Can only use a single car in photo travel in GT4. Photoshop cures all your multi-car needs though, if you have time and patience. Check Franz' excellent FAQ :)

NEW UPDATE: ...of sorts. Head to the very first post to understand. I was trying to think of how to do the front page, and finally decided on something that would match both the style and size of the banner. There's also no longer the M Coupe, SL55, or Tiburon in the first post, since I'm making a pre-emptive move at the image-per-post limit. They've been grouped with the Cougar shots in the first update :). I'm planning on adding two new sections soon enough; one will be competition entries, while the other is a slightly different one I'd like to keep the details of for just a bit longer.

I hope this makes it easier for first-time visitors, as well as more pleasing for everyone. I'll flesh out the new section within the next few days :)

Update: So, much less pictures than the last update ;). I've been playing with a panorama program and found it worked great with GT. In total there's 25 pictures making up those three shots, though 11 of them are for the first two. That third one was a bit too big for Imageshack in it's original 7400 pixel-wide glory :D

Thanks for the compliments guys, and Greycap, I've been here less time than you, I'm still new here ;). I'm glad the front page is going over well :).

Comments, criticisms... maybe even a suggestion or two, are all welcome :)

440 - Thanks :). I'm disappointed that I had to shrink them down, I wanted to keep them as close to the 600-pixel height that I normally have shots in. It also means the thumbnails are pretty unspectacular. Perhaps I should add "please click full-view for full effect?" ;).

Franz - They're not quite what you can do, but they're a start! This was actually my original car for Sprite's Underdog theme for the PMC, but when he said wings weren't allowed I ended up using the Silvia. I really like the car, since it being in black gives it a look similar to the Black Beasts. It also runs well against the GT300 cars :)

Glad people are liking them, more comments are most welcome đź‘Ť

hey .... excellent work on the front page
it matches your banner perfectly ...
and the update history is a nice touch
it should be a great design example for all of us

I must say, you have some darn good varied skills! đź‘Ť
The composition is AMAZING on those pictures, great great work! đź‘Ť

Disposable - I'm glad they left you that way! Rally shots really are the ones I'm most critical about, as I've said before; if the cloud shape cuts through anything it's not supposed to, and looks too unrealistic, I don't even bother taking the shot. It makes for a lot more presses of the Select button.

BWoods - I highly recommend it, it's good fun! The program I have came with my camera (a Nikon Coolpix 4500, incase anybody's wondering), and the built-in panorama mode in my camera normally suggests an overlap of about 1/3rd of the picture you last took. I find that in GT, you should overlap the images more than that to give smoother transitions between shots. My first experiment involved a Chevelle at Infineon and the red and white curbing on the inside of the turn wasn't a very smooth curve. That's why I try to take as many as possible now :)

Franz - I'm glad you like the front page :). I'm quite proud of it, though I'm worried I'm putting more work into my gallery than the actual content ;). I'm also wondering what I'll do when I hit the picture limit, though for now it's fine. Maybe I'll turn the oldest links into text ones, I dunno.

GT4Fan - Again, very glad people are taking to the first page :). The second panorama is actually my favourite too. I'm proud of the third for the sheer amount of pictures involved, but since I'm a huge fan of the RE RX-7, I prefer the second as it takes center stage :)

Sejtur & Diabolical - Thank you very much :)

I'm going to be updating sometime late tomorrow night, most likely. I'm not even sure what direction the update will take; I might use the Mustang @ Hong Kong set I've been playing with for the 2.0 comp, or the Spoon for the PMC Week 33 one. I'm also getting the urge to just get some new material, or maybe even play with panoramas even more. I swear, I will sort out an acceptable way of getting comp entries integrated into the front page too, I think I've got a fair plan for that one :)

I think I might shoot a Honda next, though it won't be the typical R variety đź‘Ť

Euro-R vs. Sports Sedans and Family

___________________________

Update: Whenever I see a TSX on the road, I enjoy it. So the Accord Euro-R is the next best thing in the game. Even gave it some Acura 7-spokers, though they're from a car that's worth a bit more. While the GTO and M3 are coupes, they're based on sedans, and the NSX was a bastard to catch. I'm happy with the shots, especially the 10th; so much that I might even think of changing my APMC entry.

Enjoy :)

Nice backgrounds man, in every pic (except the ones from above) you have a splendid background. đź‘Ť And the cars ain't too bad either.

WHOA! Nice freakin' pics! Just to say I'm a Honda Lover. Those Accord Pics are sick y0! What rims do you have on? Cause if they're stock...You must've did some Photoshop or something to make it look like that. I think in my opinion, that's your best update yet đź‘Ť
