The SL65 all the way, every day.
Don't even consider the 55. It is inferior in almost every way. Keep in mind that though it seems like the same car, one has a V12 BiTurbo. The best turbo in the game. The 55's engine was impressive, but the 65 is rocket fueled devilry straight from the bowels of hell.
The SLR has the same engine as the 55, except supercharged. Which is the only reason why you get more HP stock than the 65.
Which would be a good enough reason, except for what is probably the finest turbo charged combo ever made, which sits with the 65.
So really, if you are going for max hp you can throw the Tuned turbos on the SL for insane HP, but the properly tuned 65 with 100 less will do a better job.
Buy em both, but leave the v12's aspiration alone.
