*SMALL* things that PD could implement in GT6

Android/Bluetooth/Apple apps for displaying all your onscreen car data while driving on your Android, Windows, Apple etc. device. Bought an android tablet just for this and guys are making these apps in their spare time and many are giving it away for free on PC sims, so you can't say it's hard or would take a lot of time to do. Getting a perfectly clean screen with no digital data on display is a Godsend for immersion:

Not quite a fan of having to take my eyes off of a game to look at an app screen for whatever reason.

No different than looking down at your gauges if you're in a real car. In it's current state, GT doesn't have near the data available at this point that real sims do, and trying to fit all the data you need in a competitive race onto your monitor in a sim makes for a real cluttered screen. If and when GT ever gets to the level of true simulation, I could see this being quite valuable for many of us.

I'm talking about a clearly defined game, not any real car. And as I stated before, having to take my eyes off of the game screen for whatever reason is a distraction to me from the game.

Regardless, if you guys feel the need to have it, then so be it.

Something that always bothered me was DRLs not being on for 99% of the cars (since cars like the Aventador and C7 Stingray have them on at any time in the game, which further bothers me since it shows they can implement the feature). It'd be cool if the DRLs could be toggled to be on/off at all times, since it would also help with some of my Photo Mode ideas.

Adjustable wheel/tire width, ability to add wheel spacers. That's is the only thing I've ever wanted in a car game and has still never made it into ANY racing game.
I want my drift cars to actually look like drift cars...

Ok, guess I'll be the one to bring this one up again:

-- Garage --> [optional]sort by preferred sorting options[/optional] --> Select Random Car

I probably wouldn't mind it if my chosen sort(by PP or whatever) would be remembered longer than I stay on the garage screen, too.

And count me as another who supports getting rid of the auto-replay. If I want to watch the replay, I probably want to be able to control it... and I can probably find the button to do so.

Seriously though, in the tuning menu of GT3 (and I'm sure other GT's, it's the only one I had that did this), if you hit L1 or R1 it would move the slider by 10. I want that back.

I miss the ability to click on a car in your garage and get a rotating view, and be able to adjust the settings...without getting in the car! Like in GT5!
They could have made this available in the Home Garage instead of the start button garage (Which is intended to streamline car selection).

A "Skip song" feature. A single button devoted to skipping over that one song you don't really enjoy.

User BGM available in Mics enabled lobbies.

A 0-62 test like GT5 had.

Every customising option in one menu to eliminate the need to go through all the menus to change wheels and their colours.

Trading Cars, and letting people trade or give cars to the new players.
The reason why it's gone is because hacked cars would spread like wildfire. If you were in drag lobbies a lot in GT5, you couldn't join one without seeing somebody say "who has a hacked car? I wanna trade for it"

There are some standard cars that PD could turn into semi-premiums easily with the magic of body (and texture) swap. Examples are the Copen Detachable Top, Ford GT LM Spec II (not the Test Car), Supra 2.5 Twin Turbo R, '99 Viper GTS, R32 and R34 GT-Rs (the R33 is already SP), and more. ;)

Bring back the used rims of the day from GT4 and allow the use of paints on stock rims.

Also the ability to paint all cars including race cars and concepts.

False, sorry. They already know how to spot consoles running hacked GT games and ban them, there's no reason this same protocol can't be established alongside the trading system, and identify any hybrids if anyone attempted to trade them.

  • Moving the right analogue stick to move the camera around the car Forza style would be nice.
  • As would the ability to export replays as video files.
  • As someone mentioned earlier, camera grid lines would be a god send, and the option to take pictures from/of the inside of your car would also be a welcomed option.
  • The ability the change the colour of front and rear wheels separately would be cool, and perhaps the option to merge two colours to make customs colours (GTA V style), far-fetched, but it would be cool. As well as the option to turn stripes on or off on cars that come with them. (Viper, GT500, etc)
  • When buying cars, it would be nice to choose the colour of the car and the colour of the interior separately.
  • Allow us the turbo or supercharge all cars. And give us all the hidden tuning options (Stage 4 everything, super soft/hard tyres)
  • Real-time telemetry, or at least bring back the tyre load indicator from GT5.
  • The ability to rewind and fast-forward replays manually, as opposed to the skip to sector method we have now.
  • Combining all the racing cars livery's into one car, so you'd pick your livery in the colour selection, would really streamline dealership navigation.
  • Top Speed test, it can even be paid-for DLC like it was in GT5, I don't mind, I NEED IT.
  • Having a rear-view mirror in the roof/bonnet camera.
  • Coming off that last point, unifying all the cameras of all the cars. (Go drive the premium SLR and you'll get what I mean)
  • "Mute All" option in online lobbies.

That's all I can think of for now.

TL;DR Add all the basic functionality that racing games of the 2010's have, as well as reinstate all the old content.

More songs from previous games, due to the nostalgia factor.

I mean,

(01:08)

Actually you can have nostalgia across different games, as in taking music from others.

This! So much this! I had thought in the past of a list of simple suggestions like this and never brought myself to do it, thanks mate!

Here are my suggestions:

*Practice and qualifying added to career mode races. When has a race never had a proper qualifying? When have you seen a racer step into an unknown car on an unknown track and come out on top after starting last in a matter of two laps?
*Ability to switch off auto replay
*Freakin' event synthesizer! After game completition allow players to create a race or championship with all parameters (track, laps, tyre/fuel wear, each car, etc.) handpicked by them.
*Make the feature film at the beggining of each race optional! When you have to restart one race again and again it becomes really frustrating. Just make it skip straight to the "Start!" bit instead of showing the player half a minute of...cars running slowly.
*Give us a proper gallery mode where we can move around the car as we please! You already sort of have it in GT Auto where players can switch views on the car, and you already allow such a thing in photomode. Why wasting beautiful scenarios like GT Auto's showroom and the wind tunnel?

Utterly pointless to add since all the cars are available to everyone as long as you have money, zero incentive to trade anything as everyone has access to everything. GT5 had a reason, random car appearance in OCD and UCD, with that gone zero reason to have gift car or loan a car. Just buy your own, loads of ways t make cash to get any car in the game, Redbull races are easy and those seasonal time trials are there, no one can complain about where to get money. I have bought and tuned about 200+ cars and my funds have barely shifted below 38 million, which I keep padding by running random selected races with nice payouts at full 5 day login bonus for extra payout and I even have the Aryton Senna one lap for the 97T undone just for a cash injection should I ever need it. Money is all over in this game.

Not everything in the game is set up for end user use, just remember a lot of things PD use are simply for their showcase and not for us to utilize as it was not intended for that purpose.
Qualifying would be nice but with GT's pretty tepid AI that would be pointless as you'd always start at the front and being well ahead by end of the first lap. Until the AI is much more aggressive with keeping pace with players and pushing their vehicles to the limit, qualifying against AI opponents is boring on top of sleep inducing.

Even synthesizer is a cool idea from GT2, loved it but it was quite limited as there weren't many tuned cars in that game and it seemed to never install parts to better equip cars versus the player car. GT6 has the same issue, in Arcade mode the AI never tunes cars to match your car, they just grab a car of PP within the class of difficulty you choose. I literally spend loads of time in Arcade mode and I have found selection of cars to be ok to downright retarded. PD has to implement an algorithm to check user car, gauge it's PP, engine output, drive layout, weight, grip and aero upgrades then select a base machine from a database of relative cars that performance wise match the stock version of your car. Then it should be able to apply appropriate upgrades that will allow the car to compete satisfactorily versus the car in the hands of the AI. The routine should select most cars using this as well as selecting stock cars that are are close match for your tuned car as well.
I would love for the day that I have my tuned out Camaro 543hp, 1350 kgs with full aero package 580PP, run against AI cars tuned in the same way to match or just be over my cars' overall performance which is a hidden value that we all know GT has. Right now I get stale races and sometimes impossible races with the likes of the Huayra upfront on Daytona Road course and me driving an SLS, wtf?

Talking about paint, when custom gauges got released I noticed that I could choose any color I wanted for custom gauges, adjust hue, saturation & brightness. I wish PD would allow players to use that system for painting cars, that would be a lot better than the dumb paint chip system.

Another interesting thing to add: when entering an event, be it career or seasonals, there's a "eligible cars" button that shows every car in my garage that can be used in that event. PD should also add a "dealership" button that shows every car in the dealership that can be used in the event. That would be very practical.

If you have endless amounts of time to grind away at face clawingly repetitive "races" that couldn't be more boring if they tried, sure, the economy is great, but your point is moot regardless. It was proposed that trading is out of GT6 because it encourages the trading of hacked cars and it's a false claim.

You don't need endless amounts of time to get money in the game.
