To chime in on the car selection, while I would love the chance to run the Zonda R, I'm not sure I would be able to commit to buying it for 1.8M. I just got a new game that I'll be binge playing and I'm not likely to spend that much time farming for credits as I really only play the game Sun-Tues. However don't make the decision just based on my opinion. If everyone else is cool with it go ahead and run that combo!

If they would allow in game trading I would definitely give it to you as I have 15 million credits burning a hole in the pocket. The 20 million credit cars dont spark my interest at all

I do miss vehicle sharing. I have cars that I don't want that some of my friends want and vise versa.

I kept getting free F40s for a bit lol

@abm89
@Jw_wk1010
I have GT Sport friends who run online races on auto-drive everyday, & even over night, just for the credits.

If someone doesnt have the time to stack in-game credits the traditional way, the auto-drive strategy can make you the millions you need, while you eat dinner or do some work around the house.

We don't have one specifically, but we might have to put one in if this isn't well received.
Car costs 1.8 mil.

I can probably help around 7:00pm EST, I would be worried about fuel burning with most street cars the tanks are small.

Not only are tanks small but most “hyper-cars” use a lot of fuel.

Zonda R is a pure track day race car. In my testing yesterday on 1x & 1x for fuel and tires, it barely used any of either after 3 full laps.
Racing hards held up well.

Get an answer ASAP. I have to decide between drinking and becoming a cowboy on Red dead or grind 1.3 mil tonight.
Definitely enjoy RDR2 tonight & auto-drive your way to the easiest 1.3m cr you have ever made while you sleep :P

If there was to be a cap implemented, 3-4m cr would stop people from getting crazy, but would still include most of the awesome & unique cars that GT Sport has to offer. Credits are there to be spent!

Mike (or anyone else), can you post specific instructions on how to "auto-drive your way" to $1.8 million? I'd hate to see anyone miss out next Tuesday because they can't afford the car.

The best way is to setup your car around a custom race on northern isle. It involves a couple rubber bands and letting your PS4 run overnight. It nets you the most @Neutty knows exactly how much.

My good friend Zero7672 put in the work for us! He's the man for saving us lots of time & effort.

All his testing was done with the soft tires, since I mentioned to him that the RS tires are usually the compund of choice for most races.

Rubber bands??? Thats a joke right? Lol

I will ask my friends who do this everyday to make me some instructions @BradESPN

He is afraid of the snails.

Self concious of his own driving, but IMO he is becoming more & more refined all the time. He clearly loves the game. This is his 1st Gran Turismo, & since June, he uses a G29.

He knows we have all skill levels of driver, but something holding him back. I will extend to him the invite specifically from the Endurance Series.

I use a wheel. I have to also have a DS4 on as well. I will use the right trigger for the Throttle, and then with my rig, i USE A SHOE STRING and tie the wheel pointed towards the wall. (YOU CANNOT TIE THE SHOE STRING PRIOR TO THE RACE, THE RACE MUST START, PLACE THE CAR AGAINST THE WALL, AND THEN TIE THE SHOE STRING.) Sit and make sure the car makes 10 or so laps against the wall and doesnt pull away from it in the slightest. 55mph in the corners i believe is right.

Custom race. Choose Norther Isle, time of day doesnt matter. Choose the mazda Miata that the game offers. Manual (leave in 3rd) Turn boost, to None, Set the desired amount of time you will be away from the game. In my case its mostly at 20 or so hours. Then Change the total cars in race to 2. Change the opponent Category to Gr.1 and place it on professional.

24 hours - 5.91 Mil
23 hours - 5.66 Mil
22 hours - 5.41 Mil
21 hours - 5.17 Mil
20 hours - 4.92 Mil
19 hours - 4.67 Mil
18 hours - 4.43 Mil
17 hours - 4.18 Mil
16 hours - 3.94 Mil
15 hours - 3.69 Mil

Note: I have had the car stop on me twice. I have done this many times though. If the car stops, and sits for too long, the game wont pay out!

You should let him know that some of us (me) literally never practice and go in for Shiz and giggles. I've mentioned it before, the person who may be the fastest, may not always win.

IMO, the Endurance series feels like less pressure. You have 90 minutes to figure out things haha.

Midnight est has come and gone Mike

Just finished a race on x2 for tires and Fuel

@MikeGrove
What were the Lap times during the test at Nurb 24?

On x1 fuel and tires I ran a 8:50.000.

Wasn't completely clean. I will go for a really fast 1 right now.

I did discover that in the rear view mirror on bumber cam & when you look back, headlights do not appear, but you can see the road is lit in front of the car following you.

In cockpit, in the left wing mirror, you can see the headlights though. Cockpit is so good I was happily running full races at fast pace feeling very comfortable. Sounds and vibrations in there are awesome too.

Not sure if the missing headlights is a good enough reason to mandate running it in the Day light. The dark was great fun for me!

I have definitely settled on x1 fuel consumption & x1 tire wear.

Time of day... I really like the 22:30 in the dark, gives an atmosphere unique to this track; but let me know if anyone objects due to the lack of seeing headlights when you look back.

So testing went pretty late.
Was having way too much fun.
On 1st attempt, set a thunderous lap in a 2 lap race on RS tires.
This car handles reliably.
Replay was shared and tagged with "snail" for anyone to use as a reference.

7:54.027 was very quick & clean.
Pushed very hard the whole way, but a 52 or 51 is acheivable with later braking.

Also, I have changed my mind about the time of day.
Racing in total darkness is a chance that was really difficult for me to pass up :indiff:,
-but a day time event allows everyone to go faster & cleaner; with no worries about dark, shadowy lead cars (without visible headlights) flying up on possible lapped runners. (With heavy damage & possibly an accident occuring miles away from the pits)

Finalized Official Race Settings:

Car: Pagani Zonda R '09

Track: Nürburgring Nordschliefe 24 Hour Layout

Time: 8:00

Tire Wear: x1

Fuel Consumption: x1

I got a reply from StephenCFRA and CFRA99. Here's the extremely simple instructions, straight from the credit hoarding pros.

Nevermind a price cap... lets use some nice cars!

I'm not that dedicated to leave my PS4 on when I'm not using it. So I sold some cars so I didn't miss out on the track choice.

GT setup this car like a road car so kudos to anyone who will tolerate RH tires during the race. Heavy turn-in understeer, but other than that it's ok. No rear view mirror or camera in the cockpit so I'll just have to rely on the radar more than I'd like.

There is a driver side wing mirror. Small but aimed well, straight back.

Was working for me when racing in cockpit vs the randoms last night.

Great looking Livery!

Thanks, it's not quite finished yet but I slapped a few decals together for a quick test

That mirror is tiny, but it's better than nothing like the RS.01
