Bumped from behind last night at T1
Lap 1 - after the Start. Had to deal with that damage the entire race.

Not whining, just pointing out that Damage isn’t just the Offenders difficulty - it is also given to others.

Endurance racing is a Stay Patient event. If you are faster / more skilled then the pass will happen. Impatience creates more problems than successes.
I agree with you @TEX36 on all aspects. I think it may have been the randoms in the room last night, as I and a couple others towards the rear of the field at the start, receive3d contact right from the start.
Patience is key, especially at the start. receiving damage of any kind, on the first lap is awfully disheartening and can ruin ones race and enjoyment for the game/sport.

Lol right there with ya I didnt make it completely off the grid before my car got tore up. Guys this is a very technical track in some high powered cars patience is going to be key, being a slower driver I dont plan on qualifying so you guys up front who are fast dont 1. Run over me and 2. So I dont hinder your race

I hope someone kicks you in the nuts today or oooo better yet I hope hannah is wired tonight!

How could anyone get mad at that...you havent lived with her trust me every night bedtime is a chore

A reminder to everyone about Blue Flags:

If you are shown a Blue Flag let them by when its safe for both parties. Bathurst is hard enough running solo laps, and when you throw in lapped traffic it can get ugly real fast. The over taking car on the lead lap and the lapped car both have a responsibility of making sure the pass is done with care.

There are sections of the track where passing can be dangerous (going up and coming down the mountain) Use good judgement. Dont make abrupt moves or slam on your brakes in front of the car behind. Telegraph what your intentions are ahead of time. Pay attention to the track map and Blue Flag indicators that pop up on screen so it doesnt come as a surprise.

Should be a fun race. See you guys tonight

@Neutty what did u decide about ghosting?

I'm all for leaving the settings the way they currently are. I think when you throw in ghosting it takes away from the overall experience. It's just another variable of racing, one that we all have to deal with. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

It's also good 'practice' for everyone for future events. Most series dont use ghosting, so if you get in the habit of running with ghosting on, it may bite you in the a$$ in the future.

Very good point. It has “bitten” me before in FIA. The worst is when they are ghosted and bam, right when you get there they arnt ghosted anymore.

@Neutty wont be so lucky tonight!!!!!

Very good point!!! If you are getting lapped, DONT SLAM ON YOUR BRAKES OR PULL OVER. If in the chicane and down hill you feel like you need to move over, stay left at chicane. All other areas run your line and let them pass.
