I'm a couple hours from that track. I even made a "replica" of it in GT6. Close as I could get anyway. Doesn't have any of the elevation changes though and other limitations.

Here's the link https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/resources/ncm-motorsports-park.4849/

Coach, I can put you up here when you do make it out this way.

Thank for the offer @Dragonwhisky. I'll keep that in mind if/when we decided to head out that way.

Also, here is my fastest lap from Watkins Glen. I only had 6 green flag laps before the radiator blew and this was on lap 2. 2:27.688.

As light as I am, it's tough to compete against kids (literally) that know how to drive. Situational awareness, last second planning and plain old dumb luck doesn't hurt either.

That was a great race @Lessen! You were catching him on almost every turn, but since he's has to be 75+ pounds light, he'd pull you on every straight. That was an awesome reaction to him getting blocked at the end and you passing him on the final turn for the win. Great job!

Sharing this from my latest autox session... check out the dive under hard braking for a chicago box after the longest straight we've had yet this year (I had to choose between over-revving 2nd, or 3rd with a 0-60 time of 14 seconds...)

And this is with upgraded springs and dampers.

Rear wheels are nearly in the air. I think in the bicycle world, they call that a stoppie. Not sure what it would be called in a car :)

I had to look "agnostic" up. How come all I see is......An agnostic is one who believes it impossible to know anything about God or about the creation of the universe and refrains from commitment to any religious doctrine. Can't find anything race or car related lol

The above is the literal meaning and original intent of the term. The root of the word is gnostic, or literally 'knowing,' while adding the 'a' prefix alters the word to literally mean 'unknowing.' An alternate usage defines the term as 'uncountable,' 'with doubt or uncertainty,' or unknowing. My use of the word is in the latter, which could also be stated as 'weight transfer cares not about the layout' in this manner. Also such that 'weight transfer is unknowing of the layout.'

I will have some action packed video from the final round of the rental series I did. Super hard (sometimes too hard) racing today. Vids up later this weekend...

Wow, great last lap! That guy probably felt like you came out of nowhere.

Thanks. :) It was a pretty good first half lap. It never ceases to amaze me how incorporating the same idealogy into the real world that I learn from gaming can yield the same result. I was really pushing there trying to gain those last yards to close the gap, especially T5 where over-aggressiveness can lead to a slow lap. Worked perfectly in my favor. 👍

Last fall when I won the series I received an arrive & drive session in an LO206 kart. Since I've driven that already my grand prize for winning this series is a session in a bona-fide Rotax Kart. I'm quite excited to drive something considerably more powerful. :)

Congrats on the win and more importantly maybe, the session with the Rotax Kart! Looking forward to video of this.

It seems the newness of the new surface has worn off. In round 1 I set the rental lap record for the year at a 1:14.912. In round 5 I couldn't break 1:17s. Rotax karts do :56 seconds. Phew!

Well folks, I don't have a new video yet, however I do have a few photos to share... Before last race weekend my old man and I got together with some pinstriping and aluminum tape and made the car and my helmet look a little less boring. I'd say it turned out alright.

But for now, the biggest news is that a new car is coming along the way! Arthur Motorsports is expanding its team into the world of tin tops with a 1990 Honda Civic! I'm buying this thing from my cousins boyfriend for a thousand bucks, it comes with two transmissions, a blown engine, two working D15 engine blocks and heads, one complete D16z6 engine ready to go in, and a spare D16 head. I'm buying this as a daily driver to drive to work and around town, but am immediately turning this into a side project street legal race car in the hopes that my old man, my cousin, my grandfather and I can go have some fun in any endurance races around the area for a relatively cheap cost. My main focus is obviously still my Formula Vee and the open wheel path, but sometimes banging fenders is just as fun!

Another successful autocross yesterday. This was our first Out-Of-Region event, taking place at Ralph Wilson Stadium. It's a bigger course, but the L-shape limits the course options. They combine your best time from the morning with your best from the afternoon to determine placing. I was 3rd in class after the morning with a best of 42.218. My first afternoon run was 41.924 and my next run was 41.452. That time would have put me first in class if we only used our single fastest time. But I was nearly 5-tenths behind after the morning, so I had to settle for 2nd in class and 9th overall out of 80.

This is my 2nd fastest run, since I forgot to turn off my GoPro's after the morning and the battery didn't last.

Busy week for 'fun stuff' on the bucket list. These are the backup cell phone versions from the TrackAddict app.

I have GoPro and Harry's (maybe?) from other sessions I can process at home.

Good stuff @Handlebar. But what was that God awful sound (like a fart) in the Nurb video?

A long time ago, at a race track far, far away...
Circa 1990, I was working on my racing career in a Merlyn Mk.21 Club Ford, then in F2000. I had a great time but didn't have the resources to compete with the doctors and lawyers. Also, the majority of my learning was from library books, how I wish I would have had Gran Turismo back then, I've learned so much from it.
