'twas sick. I had a migraine, hurled twice, bleh. Took the magical drug known as Tylenol, now I'm alive again. It feels soooo good

EDIT: Did I mention Tylenol tastes very bad?
You're very lucky, no OTC drug even touches my migraines. I just have to ice my head and try to lay still until I can fall asleep long enough to get rid of it.

A pretty epic day this was. Spending time with my brother and friend going around the the exotic dealerships of Mass. Oh, and I got to see Ferrari's three supercars all in one place. :D

I'll post more in the Showroom thread. :)

Did you touch it?

I'll post more in the Showroom thread. :)

If only that F40 was parked in front of my house being shown off... :( Or even just me on a summer morning getting some coffee and just looking at it from inside the shop with the barista.. Makes me cry. I'll never own or ride in one of those. For now hopefully.

Well, my day has been watching the news and weather the whole time. It's scary when you barely miss getting hit by a tornado.

Mine too.

Tornado went though Peoria, about 2 hours away from me. Weather did get pretty wild here though.

Had a pretty good weekend. Visited my grandparents, and they let me drive their '94 mustang for the first time. (it was my first time visiting them since I got my driver's permit) I also pre-ordered gt6 today, so I get the 15th anniversary edition. :D

Fun weekend. Drove a few hours to pick up a friend from college and had a the front caliper seize up on my other friends car (not fun) so we had to stop for like 45 minutes and borrow a guys socket set while we took the tire off and jacked the car up on the side of the rode. Took it off after it decided to grind for a while and tied it to the frame with a couple shoe laces  It held the rest of the way there and back and now it's parked until we got it fixed. We were well over an hour away when it decided to go. Made it back, bought some food and watched some Monk and college football, and crashed at 6 am. Got up around noon, decided to go out to lunch with a buddy and then went target shooting with some .22's and then decided to have some fun and drift his Corolla around some sharp turns on some old dirt roads. Was a fun day/weekend.

Pretty good so far. Went jogging running, made lunch, ate lunch and left to visit my father. I'm at the hospital right now.
My father isn't hallucinating anymore. Hope it stays that way. He sleeping at the moment. If you listen carefully, you can hear him snore. :P

To end the day, I went to the gym and had a very nice workout. A guy that I know from the gym was giving me advice on how and were I could find a girlfriend. :P

Good day today. Since our power is out, we went out to eat and my grandpa brought his '92 F250 with the manual transmission and I drove it. I've probably got about 3 or 4 hours on that truck but I still have issues getting off the line sometimes. You start it in 2nd gear because 1st is a "granny" gear and it gets confusing sometimes. Also, the steering is as tight as jello and you are driving it like you're driving in an old film - moving the steering wheel back and forth constantly. Also, the brakes do nothing until you put the pedal about 70% down, but that is easy to get used to. After dinner me and him drove to his house (about a 30-40 minute drive) while everyone else went home and we picked up his space heater, so we could at least have some heat, which is nice because it gets down to about 15 degrees F this week in the night and our house isn't exactly airtight. On the way there, I seen a grey C7 Corvette parked in a construction zone, but I couldn't get a picture. Not a big deal since I have seen about 700 or 800 of the new C7's.

Sorry for rambling, but I don't really have anything else to do. :P

How was my day, overall pretty good.

BUT ......

This morning it was pretty 🤬 up. Upon going outside this morning to let the dogs out, I got to see this.
Last nights storms and high winds took down 2 trees, right into my lower storage garage. Grand :irked:. Just glad that the house did not take on any damage.

Called the insurance man, they will be out on Wednesday to take a peek and assess the damage.

Love the granny gear in those trucks. Amazing offroad with those. The steering I also really tight but that's a good thing.

@Nicksfix

Hope nothing else came down, looks like a mess. Not fun.

Welp, just like that, with a simple misunderstood sentence, my day has ended on one hell of an awkward note. A friend and I were Facebooking each other. Bored we dared the other to post some really messed up stuff as our status. I posted that most of my no shave November got stuck in my pants zipper (sorry guys), as that was her dare for me. I sent her a message saying that I probably drove a pretty woman away that I liked with that post, and somehow she thought I meant her. She sent a reply asking why I never said anything and how she hated me for keeping it in all these years! Totally thrown off, I sent a reply saying I always thought she was beautiful, but as far as I can remember, she's been married as long as we've been friends so I'm not sure when she wanted me to say something. I asked if she would like to talk about it, and poof, she signed off Facebook. Ah, so much awkwardness....

That would be really weird haha. Ie even down a similar road my friend. She'll forget in a few days just let her cool off.

Staying at a hotel for tonight and probably tomorrow night since the house gets unbearably cold for my grandma and uncle and mom. We brought our great dane and one of my schnauzers since they can't stand the cold either (the other dogs are fine at home).

Got free breakfast today because the computers there were down, and free dinner because the hotel has free food from 5pm-7pm. :D

Drury Inn. The food's not great but it's food  The beds are pretty nice too, but home is always better.

I've never been to that one. I've been to some of the bigger ones and the food usually seemed to be good.

Ouch, hope nothing else was damaged. That's a scary feeling.

I'm alright but my wallet isn't. A new low profile tire for the car was $174. My parents made me pay for it. I have no steady income so bye bye Christmas presents from me. The only scary thing was the fact that the car jolted to the right hard because it was the rear right tire.

Turns out the girl I had a crush on had a crush on me, so we're going to see a movie next week. So yeah, I'm happier than I've been in a long time. I mean, for a while now, I haven't had many friends, my parents have been mean to me, my sister has been extraordinarily mean to me, and I didn't feel like I was worth anything, like I was just taking up space, but I don't know if I've ever been happier in my life.
Edit: and I got the new Need for Speed game. Normally I'd be talking about games first :)

Damn man, that's a rough road. Kind of why I don't like low profile tires. Lots of places for a blowout around here. The roads are terrible.

I had not seen my girlfirend in 5 days (for us, that's a lot) so when I saw her today, I almost cried of happiness while I hugged her. :embarrassed:

Work nights now and twice as many hours hustling boxes and packages for FedEx for peak season. It's not ideal, that's for sure but it's money. I am upset that I have to work Thanksgiving this year as this is the first year in five years that I'll actually be home in Colorado for Thanksgiving, yet I still can't spend it with my parents. Oh well, there's always next year (I'm getting tired of saying that).
In small victory news, gas is as cheap as I've seen it in 4 years! I can afford Christmas this year. And last but not least small victory for today, I cranked out some great new riffs on the guitar this morning. A good guitar session always makes the day a little better.

We lost another dog today. I woke up today and found our schnauzer in the pond, which was frozen over. She had a lot of seizures and we're pretty sure it was a stroke or aneurism that killed her, and not actually drowning. Still, devastating and it was haunting to see her frozen in the pond.
