Should this get fixed before the last slot worldwide (which I doubt) anyone who has a Western account is welcome to come race with us. GT1, GT2, GT529834670218347626 come on over. Last slot is in seven hours and 51 mins from now.

Yes, I am speaking for the whole hemisphere.
Appreciate the invitation bro! I'm about to pour myself a glass of merlot to take the edge off todays disappointment. I don't usually drink and drive (IRL or online) But I won't be doing much driving today. So....

Couldn’t resist. I love this movie

I've been able to log into the console as of 10 mins ago, and am seeing more players appearing on my friends list, but it won't connect to PDs servers currently still.

Looking at the rankings for Asia/Oceania (where Round 2 has long since finished) it seems a lot of people managed to complete their races and get points. A lot of people are also at 0 (me included). I don't think PD are going to end up invalidating this round. Maybe they can change the number of valid races from 3 to 2.

I did get in GT, it was telling me maintenance but I clicked onto world and bingo, in. I got a race in, myNSX is pretty underpowered for the race, knowing I had no chance, didn’t Quali and was P13 of 13, punted as usual and finished P10. I’ll try for the next lot and see if I get lucky! Hoping y’all can get in and grab a slot today, GL all

I just checked the results for GT1 league in EMEA and out of the 1400 drivers registered this season, only 27 have actually registered a score for round 2! I went from 134th to 151st EMEA. Which obviously means that out of those 27 drivers who were lucky enough to race today. 17 of them have bettered my score of 254 points, with their combined scores of rounds 1 and 2. Great for those guys but not for anyone else who were prevented from participating today, through no fault of their own. I'm interested to see how PD will address this moving forward. Round 3 at Spa is confirmed as a rain race, with the track at an Intermediate level of dampness, at the start!

Hey, I got into the 5PM EST slot! My qualifying was a good frist lap followed by me smacking the pit wall in turn 1 on my second flying lap which was still good for P4.

On the opening lap, I get into the back of another driver in the bus stop. Fortunately we both make it out fine, but I get an off track. No biggie as I tuck in behind an NSX and follow them for a few laps. I realized I was losing time and tried to pass them, but I could not get it done. At one point, they are hard on the brakes or some major lag/Netcode happened in the 2nd hairpin and I send them into Barry R. I try to wait up, but I got a 3 second penalty so I just went to go serve it. I take that opportunity to duck into the pits for a splash and go with no tire change. Not sure if that was the correct call or not as my lap times were consistent. I'm in P6 at this point, and I manage to catch P4 and P5. But the worn tires prevent me from keeping up and I collect 68 points for my effort with P1 getting 85.

I'm satisfied with my result and I just wish I didn't hit those other drivers. I did a blanket apology post race, but I would probably finished P6 anyway. Now on to survive the Spa round and hope for the best.

Got murdered. Two low 300 point lobbies. Two q13. Two 9th places. The High Speed nerf that the 458 got was evident. No one else in a Ferrari showed up 😂

Got to race against Z28 tho. So that was fun. Gonna call it a night

A frustrating and eventful start, and a reasonable recovery drive to finish.

GT1 - 7pm EST - Mid A/S - Door 16 this time

Qualified P6, had a so-so start but the mid pack got all sorts of bunched up, dodging near deaths and spins along the way. On lap 6 exiting Bus Stop, a BMW behind gets a run and for some unknown reason, drives below onto the apron to shove me up track instead of using the several useable routes above. This causes much ping-ponging and then to spin downward and back up into me, gifting me front splitter and suspension damage.

From here I decided to change from the projected 10/10 I was planning to an 8/12. The undercut paid off decently, bringing me back up to P7. With a couple more laps I think I could have reeled in P6, but oh well. It's really frustrating when what could have been a better result gets ruined so unnecessarily.

P7 for 141 Pts. Onto the next one at Spa!

Suzuka was 2 pointless races that I shouldn't have even bothered with, and all I got from them was lost DR (which thankfully wasn't too bad since I was already one of the lowest in both of my races...). So with that in mind I decided to not bother with points the rest of the season and just try to rebuild my DR at Daytona.

Slot 2: Had to miss Slot 1 due to conflict with a league race, which I naturally ruined and pissed away a good finish by driving like my usual stupid self, so I might as well have done Slot 1... Anyway I managed to qualify 5th, but a distant 0.7s behind an SLS who ended up spinning out in the first few laps and quitting, which promoted me to 4th. After a couple of attempts I finally passed the Lexus in 3rd and stayed there for the rest of the race. The 2nd place Corvette made a mistake somewhere and allowed me to close the gap and get in his slipstream on the final lap, but I ended up 0.3s behind them, and 3s behind the winning Lexus for 274 points. Since the Corvette is absolute garbage everywhere else, there was no point in running the rest of the season, so I decided I might as well do the next slot to try to rebuild my DR after my disaster at Suzuka.

Slot 3: Qualified 2nd, behind the Corvette that I finished behind in the previous slot, and stayed there until I got a penalty at the chicane on Lap 4. Not that it mattered because I got disconnected on Lap 5...so much for gaining any DR back. I'll be lucky to keep my A+ rank after this... Anyway I'm done with this season because the Corvette is a garbage barge at literally every other track. At least I wasn't in this race for the points...

Looking at the European rankings for my manufacturer, only 1 person who scored points in round 1 was able to score any yesterday. They definitely should just wipe this round.

Looking ahead to Spa, free practice starts in the rain.

Man that was a tough day of racing.. couldn’t really get any practice in.. was hitting 44.7 44.8 in TT the first two races were disastrous for me.. penalties in the first race, and I got pushed out on the grass during the second race. Got 12th on my first and 14th on the second. 3rd race finally got in a grove and came home with a 6th. Was a tough race for all the fast guys were in, so 6th for 220pts was good enough for me!

Had a few laps of free practice in spa. Starts wet with rain, after 10 or 11 laps you can swap to hard tires and after 15 laps it's more or less dry. Tried inters and wets for the first two laps and inters were a second or so faster...

Not the Daytona race I was hoping for. A meh quali (44.8 I think) had me starting Q5, my second lap got squashed due to the car in front spinning through the bus-stop. 324ish points for P1.

I got rear-ended four times in this race (once by a serial push-to-passer that's done it to me and others multiple times), pushing me wide through turns and losing loads of places in the process. One of which gave me rear damage. When there are a gaggle of cars as close as we were (reference pic #2), getting pushed wide through a turn costs a lot.

I was as far down as 11th at one point; decided to pit at lap nine to for tires, fuel, and fix the damage. Second stint there was some more ardgy bardgey stuff going on ahead. Yadda yadda yadda finished P7 for 247 points.

It's a bit frustrating as once I got away from other cars I was able to lap in the high 44s/low 45s with no slip; the driver who finished third never hit the 44s so I think I had the pace, but that's racing (except the getting hit so many times). That was the only one I was able to do so it is what it is.

PSN came back just in time for the last slot (I never like doing last slot races). Couldn't get any good practice time to work on a strategy due to it being down but I did the best I could starting from the back. Made a bad judgement on lap 15 going for an outside pass on the GT-R that didn't end well. Was looking forward to this race and use Friday for a lot of lap time to feel out the car here but we all know that didn't happen for us. Lost 481 in DR points, ouch. Well what's done is done and on to the next. I still have faith in the NSX.

I’ll be curious to see what they do with this round - being that the majority of the player base didn’t get to participate. Either they delay Spa until Saturday, or they give us another round

…10 laps of dynamic weather at Nurburgring sounds about right 😎

I know it's early but any idea will they reschedule the last round? Seems a bit unfair on people if they don't. Plus, after stupidly signing up with Genesis it was likely the only round I might have managed to get around some bit competitively 🤣🤣🤣

I'd imagine they'll either cancel the round's results tomorrow (most likely) or just not do anything. They probably won't reschedule, what with the very compressed calendar.

I imagine PD's operations team just view an exhibition season as something they can deal with on a Monday rather than having to rush in and sort on a Sunday they likely won't be otherwise working on.
