Well. today was a write off.
It's the last day of my first week of semester at TAFE (tech collage, I am doing a diploma in Web development), and I had a 9am to 5pm day. not
too bad. but I wake up to a tremendous amount of rain, which can cause the uni campus to flood. It's alright, I have an umbrella. get up and check the campus website, and it's still open. I think, "Alright, at least I'll have my first PHP class". (I like programming). Although, probably doesn't help that I have a light cold.
So I leave home in the rain, and drive to the campus. I'm heading towards a T-intersection from the main road, so usually, the traffic keeps going. A truck is turning, so the guy in front of me stops, so I stop too. But the fool behind me (driving a white hoon-mobile [96-ish Holden Commodore]) decided to use my car for the final part of stopping. The worst thing is, I can see him coming in the rear view mirror, getting closer and closer, but not scubbing off enough speed, and there is nothing I can do. And
BOOM, there it is. I turn into a side road, and talk to the guy, but, like an idiot, I forgot to get car rego number, and I couldn't really get a contact number. I did get his name and licence number, but thats it.

I am an idiot
So, I get to TAFE, and there are only 3 people of 14 there for the 9am start due to public transport delays and what not (see rain comments earlier). the subject is Testing (web devlopment), and I get an assignment, and a promise of 4 more for the next 18 weeks. <sarcasm> WOOO! </sarcasm>. but it's not too bad.
insert 2 hour break.
PHP class is good, especially seeing as it has a lot in common with JavaScript, which I did reasonably well in last semester.
I head home, with no issues. Turns out my dad, who started as a bus driver at the start of the week, had to go out on a school bus route because the depot was short. That's the first time he has driven a bus more than 100m.
So I volunteer to go to the shops, and get there ok, and return with the booty. get in the car, turn the key, and bugger all happens. <sarcasm> Just 🤬 great! </sarcasm>. as I have very little mechanical knowledge, I phone home, and dad comes down, and shows me what happened. A battery terminal was loose, and was failing to connect to the actual battery. a slight issue...
and now I'm going out again to get some food. wish me luck!
