So, how was your day?

Great day for me actually. Still feel like crap, but at least I've done stuff today. I talked to my brother and Mr. CoolFiat on Facebook for a bit. Then I ate lunch. Mowing the lawn was fun because we got the old 13hp engine replace. Now it has a 21hp engine connected to the stock 7-speed transmission. Meaning you can leave marks in the grass. I followed that up with a nice bike ride and am currently cooking pizza for supper. A good day, and that's all I could ever ask for. And its good to see you're doing well Ryou. :)

January Sales?

It's something that happens at various unis around the country: girl goes to uni in a relationship, meets various cool guys during the first semester, comes back home to meet her boyfriend, realises he isn't all that, she breaks up with him, which means she's on the market once the second semester starts in January. :P

Boss left a bit early today so at 4 when we usually close down the back of the shop to clean, we did so and had a few beers. Had a '67 convert come in w/ decently modded 302 so we prodded around it for a bit. Nice little Friday.

My day was HORRIBLE. It's one of these days whatever you do, you seem not to be able to enjoy it, and besides, everything you do-you **** it up, nothing worked out right today for me but oh well the day is over and here comes teh weekend!

Hahaha.

Day 4 post concussion now. Some improvement but still a lot of pain and unsteady if I stand up to quick. Slowly getting there though which is good. Realizing I'm likely never to play hockey again though which really sucks. Up and down day today.

Had to meet with someone at the university at 10.00 am. I arrived at this time and waited for 20 minutes. I got tired and bored so I decided to check my mail. There was a new one, sent at 10.10 am, from the person I was supposed to meet... "Sorry to write at this time, but I can't go now"... just great!
Almost two hours of the day wasted on transport for nothing. And I'm not friend of this person, so the mobile phone wasn't an option.
Besides that everything went fine.

Was late for work this morning because the aircon makes me sleep through my alarm somehow. Had some pizza for lunch just now which was pretty good. Later I have to take a class to McDonalds to teach them how to order fast food. Yum.

Awesome day (s) NZ hasn't had snow reach the ground in over 30 years. Well not over the entire country. It's so good that school is closed for today (and yesterday) We made a mobster snowman :) who has aviator sunglasses and my dad's awesome hat ;). But now the snow is going away. This is the first time I've had snow at home during the day :).

How much snow fell?

"So, how was your day?"

Pretty good actually. My Girlfriend's friend is visiting Canada now from Japan and after a few days in Vancouver, she came to Toronto today. We all had a nice day and went for something to eat. Tomorrow, we are going to Niagara falls. I've been before, but this time, I'll take my passport and visit Niagara, New York for a little while. I have never been to America before, but I've always wanted to go.

New York city was next on my list of places to visit, but has been shifted down to second after Japan. I want to visit my girlfriend's family in Tokyo, Nagoya and Hiroshima, followed by a trip to Suzuka circuit for the Japanese Grand Prix and then to Amagasaki to visit Kamui Kobayashi's father's restaurant. (I'm a huge fan). That'll be an expensive trip. I don't have money, so we'll go next year. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Not sure how many people visit the "pics of yourself" thread, but this is from my last trip to the Niagara falls.

No, I didn't actually do it. Just seemed funny at the time.

Skython11
Got to about 10 inches thick in some places. About 2 - 5 inches everywhere else.

There are many people reading this laughing that 2-5 inches was enough to close schools, I do realize this isn't something you guys prepare for though. Just seems funny because whenever we got that much snow you looked forward to school because it meant they closed off a section of the field for snowball fights.

. Yeah, the teachers wouldn't be able to control students anyway, they'd be too excited about the snow, they'd be destroying things somehow with it :P.

Here you have to have at least 1 feet of snow fall before they consider not running buses, you got to have way more than 1.5 feet that to close a school for the day. Lucky Skython11, but today I'm going fishing with my older bro, so that guarantees in advance that this'll be a good day.

Went to work with a hangover, as per usual. Managers bought my department (me and two other guys) a 360 Pro with Kinect for us to use for product development. We spent all day with the this playing crazy games like the Michael Jackson dance thing. The IT department have collected a lot of software for it and will write the programs for anything ideas that I can come up with for integrating the system into our classrooms and curriculum. My job gets better every week.

I've also been asked to do training for the opening of a new branch which means, should I choose to accept, a 2 week trip to Urumqi in northern China. That basically means a 2 week holiday with my bar bill covered and the chance to see some amazing stuff. I now have to persuade the missus that she can live without me for a few weeks.

Rocking day. 👍

Today was a good day. :)

Mostly spent lying in but later on I went karting, which was awesome. Managed to spin out twice, which is a shame :guilty: but it was still such a ball. Only lasted 10 minutes, but still great fun. :D

Today was a nice day, got to reunite with some friends at school, but then it went pretty crappy since I parked my car outside for 5 hours, and I come back to find it dirty thanks to Daly City :(

Started out good, now I'm waiting to hear from a friend and a family member at Pukkelpop, where a storm killed 3 and injured +60 people.
It's a small chance but the phone network is down and I'll be relieved when I hear from someone.

Edit: just heard that both are OK, had a good scare but doing fine. Still feel bad for the people that didn't make it :(
I was thinking of going myself but it was sold out, the area will be cleared and rebuilt to restart the festival tomorrow (from what I heard)

Pretty good!! I had to get a '72 Mustang (I think it is a Mach 1) running. Thing is a POS and it's sat in the same spot in our parking lot since I've worked there (since April). So, I don't know how long it actually been there. So, it took awhile to get it up and running. Fun cause it was the first time I took a non-running car and diagnosed it and got it running again.
Unfortunately, I had to sweep our back lot cause we moved a bunch of cars around and spent a bit trying to remove the oil pan on a '99 Mustang with the 3.8 V6. I left at the end of the day realizing it isn't possible to do with both the engine and the trans still in the car. Hopefully I can just take out the drive shaft tomorrow and unbolt the trans and move it back the 2 inches it needs to go.

Guy pulls up next to me in 05 Mustang with a girl in it, and starts revving his engine and looks at me. I look back with a brow raised whilst my station wagon (A sunset red...err pinkish 95 Mercury Tracer) is sitting pretty at idle.

Lights go green, peels out, goes up some distance, and a cop ends up pulling him over.

I smile at him as I pass him up.

Yesterday mine was...meh. Just went to the beach for the last full day of my holiday then had my cousins come around which was awesome, also watched some Fresh Prince of Bel Air with them which was awesome :D Then my day was ruined by trying to get to sleep. Either my mum's irritant snoring or the stupidly uncomfortable bed kept me up and I probably wasn't asleep till today :grumpy:

Coming home today though which instantly makes this day enormously satisfying :D Although the RyanAir flight will let it down a bit :indiff:

Funny, since midget was angry today. He got so angry and told me that I'm only anti social because I want attention. Which I find confusing, because A) I'm anti-social to avoid HIM, because he's a constant downer. B) How the hell is avoiding people trying to get attention.. So a day of comedy and pesky dramatic teenagers. :P

Two words: January Sales. ;)

Having second thoughts about the practical application of these two words :(

Lady of interest's boyfriend is coming up this weekend from the university just in the city below mine for the next two weeks maybe (they have their mid-semester break a week earlier than we do).

And the faculty ball is next week...

Why are so many of the pretty ones taken already T______T
