my day is going crazy! My grandpa passed away about a month ago, and my dad ended up with his house, My wife and I want to move into it and live there, but my dad wants to sell it so he can have the money. We can barely afford rent as is, and would love the change of scenery (Michigan to Tennessee) we are poor, and they aren't rich by any means, but when they mention that they want to use the money to fix the pool, Jacuzzi, and a car that he never drives instead of helping his son...... he hasn't said no yet, but it was leaning towards no when we asked. I'm very anxious, and do not want to await the answer.... its been 2 days im gonna tough it out, i have to. if i push them, ill push towards a no. *fingers crossed* so yes, bad day for me!

Offer to pay your dad rent on the house. I'd imagine it's not a great time to be selling a house anyway. Your dad gets a regular income that will allow him to buy/fix what he wants - or at least cover loan repayments if he requires a large chunk of cash. In the mean time his 'investment' will surely only increase in value.

That's how i'd put the offer to him. Maybe you've said all this to him already?

Agree ^^

Your dad can use the equity in the house to borrow the money to fix his stuff, the money you pay in rent should cover his repayments, meaning he gets to fix his things "for free" and still keeps the initial investment to sell to you later when you are in a better position!

Well, I didn't get fired from work, but left a stressed as a Sikh at the Rapture.

Got home and de-stressed with a bit of GT only for the wife to come home proclaiming her bad day and take an indirect pop at me for wearing shoes in the house, which by the way hasn't been swept for a few days, and then slams doors and stuff before storming off to bed.

Sometimes I wish I could detach from the chaos and find a peaceful part of the universe where shoes are OK in the house and I don't have to play GT with headphones on. :grumpy:

My house?

At least you didn't get fired :)

At my age it's a bit of a risk. It would probably involve working for myself and running my own company. Still a thought at the moment though.

Whats your current job (think I have seen you say this before but I forgot ) and what you thinking of changing to.

Edit looking at your profile answered question 1.

Pretty bland. Te only good part of the day was when two people who I'm friends with were playing guitar in home room. They can play pretty damn well an it was enjoyable to listen to.

Pretty good day. Got PT done today and learned the reason why my knee has popped out two times in the past month(the way I crouch has made the knee cap slip out of position, ouch, I know). Refilled the car with gas(24mpg for driving 204 miles on 8.4 gallons. Not bad for a V6 car) and met with a merchant service representative from a bank I'm looking into for a business checking account. Gonna call another bank today and see what the costs of their services are like and the merchant representative told me I can use his same service with the other bank I'm looking into(The bank I'm going to call has their own service but I can use his if I can make use of any cost saving).

His credit isnt good enough to do that, though a great idea, also thought about doing that myself and just giving him like 20K and then paying it back ourselves. Alas, our credit sucks ass too.

We did to offer but alas in the end he said he was going to sell. he did say he was going to help us, but in the end he said no.

Ugh, i guess fixing a pool is more important than helping your son. but i best not dwell on it

Its been interesting. I've had some bad reactions to some meds so l was in and out of the nurse all day. Well when i went into there during lunch there was apparently a suspicious person walking around the cafeteria right during lunch. We went into lockdown. Found out it was some crazy old guy that said he just graduated and wanted his transcripts. Everyone was forced into a room because we didn't know if this guy had a gun or anything. I was leaving for doctor right as groups of sheriffs stormed in. And thats all l know.

Nick, what kind of car?

King Josh, that's funny actually. Especially since nobody got hurt.

M day has been procrastination and lack of motivation, but dinner was great and so was dessert. Beef Stroganoff and these weird peanut-butter wafer things made a great combo. I'm feeling better, probably because I played guitar and watched videos of car sounds for a while.

Was pissed off for some reason early in the day, I wanted to punch through the computer monitor and kill everybody. But calmed down a bit later in the day and it's fine now.

What were you pissed about?

Lol, I actually had a steak sandwich.
But I had stayed up till 1 the previous day and was a bit tired. Leg was still annoying me and freaking SOLIDWORKS pushed me further. Then there was an assembly for student council prime minister.
The one guy did a Hunger Games spoof and the other had almost nothing to do with the school. Being extremely cynical when mad made me start cursing and swearing at everyones idiocy. Then I finally woke up and had fun in cooking so that cleared it all up. :)
And having no tarter sauce with my fish will engage kill mode.

I went to a motorcycle parts manufacturers expo today. Was boring until we (my father and I) decided we'd blag as many free parts as possible in a bid to build a bike from spares. A joke of course. Having press passes made it rather easy.

In the end we got a piston, a pair of spark plugs, an oil filter, rear sprocket, piston rings, fuse box, indicator relay, several different bearings and con rod, which was my favourite piece. :D

Posing as somebody I'm not is fun. I should do it more often. A journalist I am, a spare parts imported I'm not.

Last year at a careers expo the city council organized, a group of my friends decided to see who could get the most free stuff. I won of course. :D

Expos are great for free stuff. I pretty much just walked around saying "Sample?" in Chinese. :)

I just go and grab stuff. A few times I blatantly asked for free stuff and people gave it to me.

You were probably saying it wrong, and they felt sorry for you. They gave it to you as a gift. :P

I did pronounce it wrong but the press pass and bags of other free goods made me look like the right person to hand samples to. :sly:
