Sounds like you have a great time!

Looking forward to the rest of the photos you post up. 👍

Go straight to the quotes thread, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

(Sorry, Venari, stole ya quote)

Massive dollop of oops with lashings of ahem and a side order of ouch for good measure!

Sorry, Roo! :ouch:

Great story! 👍 I am sure the trip was awesome. I only hope I get to do something similar in my lifetime.

BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda and Volkswagen all added to the first page. Porsche and the Unknown Mystery Prototypes still to come.

Oooh, Mulsanne in the mini?
He could, but it's nothing like the 'Ring. You can't haul butt, and the traffic plays a huge role. If Roo wanted to drive in LeMans, it'd be best for sight-seeing and nothing else even though half the stuff during the 24Hour Race is normally taken down.

Looked like an awesome trip, though, Roo. 👍

Oh Ello Mister Zakspeed Viper!

I gotta say I honestly didn't read too much because I was busy looking at all the kick ass pics along with having to mop up my jaw. :guilty:👍

What Mercedes is this?

Prototype for the next gen SL, been running for a while now actually.

Porsche and the Unknown Mystery Prototypes added. That's all the photos posted now... just in time for Goodwood on Friday :scared:

That Merc SL wasn't just fast, it was annoying - it would only come out when I couldn't get a good shot of it. The 4-door Porsche was similar. I'd stood at Aremburg for nigh-on 3 hours, and started to moved on but saw an opportunity for an arty farty sought of shot through the trees, and only then did it turn up. Bother. I went back to the inside of the corner, but it didn't come back.

Verry nice pics Roo.👍
Was it so bad to drive on the E40?

Thanks! The E40, in my car, is pretty bad - it's just so very bumpy, and in the Mini you feel every bump, which is a shame as there are so very many on the E40.

Excellent thread, good write-up and fantastic pictures.
Really gives a sense of how you experienced and enjoyed your whole trip!
Invisible +Rep 👍

The last unmarked prototype is probably a future Honda NSX Successor. See this thread for more information. Also make note that the tags are the same on both cars.

This appears to be a test mule for the next BMW 7 Series. Check this thread and the proportions look similar, though the side cladding looks very different

And again, great story and wonderful pictures! 👍

Okay, coming late to the party, but hey, great writeup. I mean, dude, you're living the dream. You got a mini, sure only 45hp but pretty fun I'm sure, and you got to drive the 'ring, see a load of nice cars, and over all get the total experience. I'd do just about anything for that you know, lol. Anyways, looks like you had a great time!

Be happy, now you had a free test circuit (E40) before you came at the Ring.

Oh good I came back to see if all the pics loaded and they did. You took some amazing pics. Again, thanks for sharing!

Nath, i only just got back to my pc after 8 weex away, so ive a lot to catch up on, but i'd like to thank you for the mentions, and congratulate you on doing the best thing you can do with your car.

There are so many quotes i'd like to pull out of your trip report and comment on, but i havent the time right now, but needless to say, excellent write-up, and fantastic fotos.
Just makes me want to go back this weekend, instead of next year.
I guess itll be worth the wait if i get to go with lots of gtp'ers next year, so i'll start saving, as the VTEC needs a clutch and some new front discs before i tackle those hills again. :scared:

What i can drop in here quickly is: well done for passing some Alfas, all the cash points are in Adenau, 10 mins down the road from the ring entrance, and i too couldnt get fotos of me on track, as the photographers are about at the weekends mainly.

In true, VEXD style, i'll finish on an irked note though:

How come you managed to find TWO pix of you on the webcam?????

:irked:👍

See you in the other thread.
