So..... we can pay 200$ to buy a car that will almost never use? What?!

Ok. this is one the most stupidest thing that i've ever seen, from both the people and PD.

First of all, people are complaining WAY too much for the microtransations. Don't get me wrong, i'm also against that but why would i ever waste 200$ for a Jaguar XJ13 that will probally be just for collection? I would rather grind if that's the case.

If you really want to waste 200$, don't waste on a car that's very situational. Waste on something else.

Now, i'm still don't like this. This is greedy, but it is possible to play the game without this. I don't know, i don't have the game and as far i can see, it's just about wasting real life money to buy a car. And since DLCs are coming, then i would rather spend on these, instead of one car that i will use for like 2 or 3 races.

So, my opinion about the microtransations? i will never waste money on this, and since i live on Brazil, the car will definitly cost.... 1000 dollars(200+ the absurd taxes). Totally worth grinding.

If PD said the prices of cars are not influenced by presence of micro-transactions (and it looks like the prices of cars are roughly the same as GT5) then what does it matter that someone will drop $200 on buying credits to get something they want?

The value of an object is in the eye of the beholder, don't judge what others are doing, just worry about yourself ;)

Polyphony is most likely not expecting people to pay real money to buy those insanely expensive $20M vehicles. The microtransactions are expected to be used for cars within the realm of reasonable affordability and/or upgrading vehicles.

The problem for people who don't buy credits is that PD has made the game more of a grind, so that buying credits seems more appealing. They've removed the one "fix" that they had for the broken credit system in GT5, which was the high-paying seasonals.

Like The Wind is still there I believe. 45,000 for 5 laps of Indy.

If that is correct then that's just over half the credits that were offered for Like The Wind in GT5.

I would rather buy the car by myself. Why? Because it's more rewarding and what really matters is the journey, not the reward. and the reward is.... a car that will have very little use.

I just think that the game can be completed without these super expensive cars..... the 20 million ones of course

Just finnish National B yesterday without buying any car or upgrades, over half a milion credits on game, there´s really no need to buy credit with real money...

Honestly the only thing I thought once I could afford expensive cars in GT5 was "I hope this car performs well because otherwise hours spent grinding monotonously through A-Spec will have been completely wasted".

Yes you can, you don't have to but you can.
It also means you can have it the first day without doing any work.

That is convenant don't you think
