When GT5 finally knocks our socks off!!!

I am looking forward testing the capabilies of the Veyron , namely it's acceleration over the Standing QM and KM. Although I know how fast the car is from statistics I have aquired through mags etc I just want to test the Veyron vs many standard/moded road cars/race cars just to see what happens, even if I already know the answer. I guess it is the geek in me:dopey:

Other than he obvious, Enzo, Ferrari F1 car, Zonda etc what I am particually interested in is turning an every day car into a Veyron killer or at least as in the vast majority of cases - to see how much it costs in credits to get even close to a Veyron's straightline performance.

Also I will test the Veyron with countless laps at the ring, then do the same, with your average car and some (allot) of cash thrown at it. I am guessing in this test a modded car will stand a better chance as the Veyron's trump card (although very good) is not it's handling.

I can't wait!!!

I am geeking out right now!!!

What!!! You would have to put a small plane engine to keep up! (Sarcasm)

I just think it would be interesting and fun to see how they compare on the strip.

The R35 is widely regarded as the supercar destroyer for every man. I bet it's one tuneable beast. And i'll be very interested in how much it can be "improved" over the stock car.

True, but GT5 will probably tinker with the R35 physics to make it faster or have better handling. The somewhat superior supercars will probably have the slowest type of car ,instead of the fully loaded version.

I look forward to modding a car to beat a Veyron.

I used to love building thousand-horse R34 Skylines in GT3 and I imagine I will do no different in GT5 :)

you noticed that tendency too, huh.

Was that on stock tires?

And After 10 seconds I didnt see any lights...

I don't know but didn't look like one of the car's better runs.

Sorry, I have to rant.

I've seen a lot of "SSC is faster than Veyron!" statements lately. Riddle me this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automotive_superlatives#Performance

The Aero certainly does have a higher top speed; but the Veyron is ahead all the way to 248mph.

The Veyron accelerates a bit faster because it's 4WD and has 16 cylinders compared to the Aero's 8.

I also remember reading/hearing that the SCC Ultimate aero was faster through the saloon then the Ferrari Enzo. I wonder if the Veyron is that nimble

The Ultimate aero is also 1/3 the price of the Veyron

I read the title and thought this was about damage ie What do you want to drag along the side of the veyron to scratch it up like a traffic cone or course blocker or something.

What do I want to drag against a Veyron? Well, if I want something that will
actually win, it's a no-brainer:

A '95 Honda Civic Hatchback. I'm not even kidding.

I did done that in my old 91 civic hatchback with Stock K20A and runs 10s on best tires.. it was amazing i sold it for 12k.. If we got swappable motors in gt5. lets hope.

Whats your point? I bet the bottle of nitrous sitting in the trunk is bigger than some of the other cars listed in this thread. That Mustang probably ran in the 14's stock. Also, I dont see a parachute on that stang... On drag radials with race gas= no competition for a Veyron on pump gas on street tires

And to the guy who said the R1... an R1 will run in the 9's on a perfect run, unlike a Hayabusa that will run in the 9's every run. (Suzuki's are HP kings)

Don't be ignorant. It's actually not a nitrous car, genius. And even if it was, if you think a street driven 8 second car is a small feat, you're insane. We're not talking about a tubbed out drag car that BARELY stays street legal and MIGHT be driven on the road for 10-20 miles a year and spends the rest of its life being hauled in a trailer. It runs on drag radials also, not slicks. This is a car regularly driven on 50 mile+ trips that runs 8s fully loaded.

His setup: 89 Mustang Coupe, Procharger F2 Blown and intercooled 427 stuffed under a stock hood.

And um...i gotta laugh about your 14 second stock time comment since someone just mentioned a 95 Civic a few posts ago.

Im ignorant? We are talking stock production cars, and you post videos of a car on race gas that is highly modified. You are ignorant for posting that POS in this thread.

Read the posts, moron:

You do know that you can modify cars in Gran Turismo, right? And I fail to see where the OP says that you can only mention stock cars.

And did you seriously call that car a POS? HAHAHAHAHA. Seriously? Stop being an ignorant douche.
