What happens when you tune the veyron?

How much extra HP would you expect from chip, exhaust, stage 3 turbo upgrade, wieght reduction.

Is 1500hp asking too much?

I'd really like to drag race a car built for less than a hundred grand against a veyron.

and rape & abuse the veyron.

I'd like to tweak and mod the ZR1 and try to give it a run for over a million less than the cost of the Veyron. That or just take out an F-16 fighter jet and be done with it.

wasn't there a car made by suzuki that has like 1200 horsepower? Something pikes peak, I vaguely remember it being impossible to drive.

Also, the Veyron is ugly enough (IMO), but the SSC is just an abominable abortion.

see my post one before yours! -> ESCUDO is the answer!!!

The Veyron accelerates a bit faster because it's 4WD and has 16 cylinders compared to the Aero's 8.

 Number of cylinders has absolutely nothing to do with acceleration. Can my car out drag an Integra Type R 'cos its only got 4 cylinders to my 6?

maybe a a Ford GT TT with 1100HP will do the trick :D
but I think the Veyron will be better suited for 1mile race than ¼miles one :/

Thrust SSC 👍👍👍

When GT5 finally knocks our socks off!!!

I am looking forward testing the capabilies of the Veyron , namely it's acceleration over the Standing QM and KM. Although I know how fast the car is from statistics I have aquired through mags etc I just want to test the Veyron vs many standard/moded road cars/race cars just to see what happens, even if I already know the answer. I guess it is the geek in me:dopey:

Other than he obvious, Enzo, Ferrari F1 car, Zonda etc what I am particually interested in is turning an every day car into a Veyron killer or at least as in the vast majority of cases - to see how much it costs in credits to get even close to a Veyron's straightline performance.

Also I will test the Veyron with countless laps at the ring, then do the same, with your average car and some (allot) of cash thrown at it. I am guessing in this test a modded car will stand a better chance as the Veyron's trump card (although very good) is not it's handling.

I can't wait!!!

I am geeking out right now!!!

The answer...

Caterham Levante

Engine: V8, 2398cc, 40v, supercharger
Max Power: 550 bhp @ 10,000 rpm
Max Torque: 300lb ft @ 8500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.9 sec
Top speed: 150 mph (limited)
Weight: 520 kgs

power/ton ratio: 1074bhp/ton

In comparison, it has 27bhp + and 920kgs - than a Porsche 911 GT2.

I am affriad the Levante in standard trim will not have a chance from a standing start as it just can not put the power down. Evo magazine have also timed it vs the Caparo T1 and it stuggled to get off the line and span up at even half throttle. I imagine with slicks it do better but it's simply too light with tyres that are way too thin to ever have a chance of putting it's hores to the ground!

Here are some times fo the Veyron tested by EVO magazine! Not unbeatable but certainly impressive and something to aim for.
