  • Trio of Pennzoil branded oil change tools (regular oil filter wrench, pair of rubber slip wrenches for things that I want to be more gentle on, and a pair of filter pliers that will definitely come in handy on my car).
  • Usual bunch of cash and gift cards
  • Pair of shirts, hat, and sweatshirt.
  • N.O.S. grill and corresponding badge for my car to restore it to how it should look.
  • ACDelco 1/2" impact wrench
  • Flashlight, digital tire pressure gauge, and bungee cords.
Overall, not a bad haul this year.

So basically to sum it up:
  • Battlefield 1
  • A WAHL trimmer
  • 7 Nascar Diecasts
  • 20$ PS Store Gift Card
  • A new watch plus some clothes.
A very enjoyable Christmas for me basically.

  • A trumpet mouthpiece
  • A French horn case
  • A bass trombone mute
  • 2 music books
  • A Lenovo Yoga 3 10" tablet
  • A few Blu-Ray movies
  • A Steam Controller and Steam Link
  • Some candy and chocolate
I'm more pleased with my family's reactions to what I bought them, even though one of the main gifts was supposed to show up by the 23rd and still isn't here. I'm not happy about that at all, but overall a great Christmas.

My mom gave me 20 bucks, and my grandma gave a a hundred earlier in the month. Yeah, that's it. Though I really can't complain since there wasn't anything I wanted in particular.

  • $50 Amazon gift card
  • Pokemon Sun and Moon
  • Pokemon T shirt
  • Some Hot Wheels cars
  • Chocolates
  • A 10 gallon aquarium and 6 fish (I got it a month ago but it counted toward Christmas)
This is the fish I got. These aren't mine but they are the same kind.

Pretty cool Christmas this year. I'm probably the only 21 year old that was excited to get a record (Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin) and a cast iron skillet/cutting board from Jim Beam. I also got a pretty large gift card, so all in all I'd definitely say it was a a great day. Plus I got to see my nephew and I might have played with his toys.

I got the Last Guardian and Skyrim. A whole lot of new clothes, that are really stylish as opposed to the batman t shirts I got in years past. And most importantly I got the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter and my rig finally feels complete!!

Many wonderful gifts, best of all is a sealed and never played original first pressing of 'It takes a nation of millions to hold us back' on vinyl. Nice. 👍

Happy Christmas, ya filthy animals!

So your next steps are...

1 - Open
2 - Play
3 - Post pictures in Vinyl thread
4 - Sit smugly while we all get green eyes :)

What I received

-A electronic guitar
-Clothes
-A Watch

The older I get, the less I get, ah well, I finally got a Guitar so that's nice I guess.

My wife and I don't really do a lot for each other. It's all about our daughter now.

That being said, I did get some nice things from her.
1. 6 spectacular beers from around our area. 4 IPAs and 2 lagers.
2. A new Boston Bruins baseball hat.
3. Socks and undies
4. The Doors- the secret behind every album collectors book.
5. A Boston Bruins wind spinner for the yard.

Hands down the greatest gift I received was the gift of being with my wife and daughter. Happy and healthy this year. We are blessed beyond measure.

Nikon D3300 from my wife and the Arsenal away shirt from my parents were the standout presents.

I got my Dad the Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM, which moved him to tears when he opened it. I just don't think he ever expected a lens from me and it overwhelmed him.

My favorite gift this year is an Amazon Echo Dot.

Now all I can think about is building a custom "skill" for it that integrates with GTPlanet... :D
Alexa, ban the Communists.

The stand-outs:
  • $150 Amazon gift card (which went towards the purchases here)
  • $75 in LCBO gift cards (that's the NYE champagne taken care of, then)
  • A date with the significant other at the local adult obstacle course (yessssssss)
  • Some books (Brief Interviews with Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace, Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon, and 99U's Manage Your Day-To-Day)
  • A bottle of Glenlivet 12.
  • One very nice blue dress shirt.
  • A classy framed Radiohead concert poster.
  • The Brickworks Cider holiday pack I've been hunting down across Southern Ontario.
  • A whole whack of junk food, of course.

- Clothes (not much surprisingly, usually all i get, but only 2 shirts and a pack of socks)
- A lot of Chocolate/Candy (and i mean a lot)
- Armourall Detailing Kit for me car
- Cards Against Humanity with Expansion Pack 3
- A giant whoopee cushion because we all need one
- Guiness World Records 2017 Gamers Edition (where i noticed Gran Turismo is the longest-running playstation fanchise, and that driveclub has the longest graphics draw distance, at 200km)
- Dragonball Z Vegeta Figure
- A new Bathurst Gaming Chair
- $300 in spending money and another $100 or so in Gift Cards

Oh and instead of the usual "body wash" present, i got 2 bottles of shaving cream  for once when i was actually running out of it!

Best haul ive had for years, sadly no Gran Turismo game to top it off, but i do have a Gran Turismo Planet Top arriving soon! (eh? Eeehhh?)

Also worthy of mention now that the Christmas run is FINALLY over:

- The complete Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble boxset from the in-laws
-A bottle of Canadian Club Small Batch 12 year whiskey from my sister, looks like I'll have plenty to drink...
-My wife also bought me Dirt Rally, although Amazon was apparently really slow with the delivery and it's not here yet, I'm quite eager to try that.

And my sister bought the Harry Potter complete movie collection which will keep the kids occupied for a few days.

You'll get up on a morning and hear...

"Good Morning Jordan, you have been tagged 6000 times in posts moaning about wanting to delete a thread or post. Have a nice day"

On another note are they any good. I was looking into these for my home once I move.

Oh yeah, it's good. Even though I'm a major geek/technophile/futurist, I've been oddly indifferent about these voice-activated home controllers like Echo and Google Home. Now that I have one, as I expected, when it's great, it's amazing, but when it can't do something, it's underwhelming. As long as you understand what it can and cannot do, it will not disappoint. It will just keep getting smarter, though, and I plan on using it primarily as a smart home controller.

Any concerns that it's another way for "the man" & others to gather info on your activities?
