After taking a break from golding to use some of the cars I have been winning I am now up to 59 golds (just IC-10 to do). Finishing off S was easy, that left me with IA10 & IC10.

IA10 (in case it helps others). Turn ASM OFF !! Ok I should have known this, I am no rookie, but for whatever reason I had left it on. I struggled to get to 4th by the end of the first lap on a consistent basis. Experience says, I must be doing something wrong. Then I noticed the ASM was on, so I turned it off and drove the same way. Suddenly the car was exiting corners with so much more speed, 3rd and then 2nd by lap2 - and then the win.

I felt good but also a little silly, now I just need to man up and gold IC-10.

I don't get why so many people have such a hard time with IC-10, took me 2 tries. IB-3 on the other hand I've tried probably 50+ times and I'm still .6 seconds away from gold.

I don't need to see a pic, just follow the link in my last post to enter your times if you want.

IMO remove the entry fields for the race license tests (All S and 9 & 10's), most people don't write down their times on those races 💡

I've got one bronze left, on S-4. Any tips on how to silver/gold this? I find it to be the hardest license to do :S

EDIT: Done... finally

Took this 2 days after getting 60 btw.

Edit: My PSN name is Donforcefeedback hence the name.

Only challenge left is to get up to lvl 30 (26 atm).

59 golds, 1 silver....IB-3. Any wheel users that golded this one?

Why yes I just did it and finally got my 60 Golds. 👍 The thing I changed that seemed to help was to feather the throttle in and out more rapidly than normal, kinda twitching my right foot quickly. It seemed to keep the car more stable while keeping the speed over 74mph. I hope this helps and keep on keepin' on.

But that is GT for you. Although some tests are clearly difficult, and IC10 is well documented, you fortunately breezed through it. Likewise I had no problems with the slalom tests. Horses for courses...

Well guys, I golded the missing licenses yesterday night:

All Tests done with a Fanatec Porsche GT3 RS V2 wheel (with shift paddles).
I was a little bit suprised about the fact, that only about 10 test were really tough. For the most of the test I need about 5-10 attemtps to archive the gold time. I still remember the GT3 times with the PS2 pad... almost impossible to gold for all the test.

The most difficult tests for me:
- IC-01 (till I saw the trick with the 90°, before +0,005s over gold time)
- IC-10
- IB-3
- S-4

and the dirt rally stages at IB and IA took some time... but well I'm happy now :)

I ment for the list of people who've gotten all sixty golds, post one!

It'd be nice if I could be put up without a Proof Picture...... But that's un-initiative. But I don't think i'll be able to upload it today.

Well, this was a tough one... first of all put the shift to automatic, to avoid losing time by changing gears. Then... you should check the example video, before proceeding.

The trick here is to release the gas a bit before passing the cone and step on the gas immediately afterwards. Alywas accelerating a little bit more compared to the previous slalom. It takes sometime to get used to it. I tried it like 100 times before I found the trick, but since I got it, I played it 5 times, and I was between 0.2 before I actually got it gold.

I would love to join this club, but just as the cones defeated me in GT4, they are the only 2 golds i'm missing there, i fear that they will defeat me in this one too.

In my opinion, you need a wheel to do them. I agree they are quite tough, especially the second ones. I couldn't beat my time on it by 35 milliseconds and then after half an hour or so I beat gold by 15 milliseconds. Needless to say I will never try to win gold on it again...

All licenses golded, sig updated (see below). So what was all the fuss about ?

I finished off by golding IC-10. I think a bit of familiarity helped (ie doing a few races here earlier) and I went with TCS 5, ABS 1, ASM off, Active Steering mild. This was working pretty well but I changed to Active Steering strong and got the expected result. After c 15 mins nailed the win.

fwiw: I golded all of the licenses using a DS3 controller and AT (I have always used AT in license test, but use MT when racing.

It is a pity that there is no special award for getting all golds, even a unique car - it would have been a nice touch.

This morning I finally got all golds :-) I used a G25, manual transmission, and aids off except for ABS at 1. I've been working on these a hour or two a day since the release. I've never done all golds on any previous Gran Turismo's so it was an exciting day for me. IC-10 was the toughest for me.

Ok I just golded all my S Tests today. By far the S tests are the easiest out of the bunch. I would probably put IB-1 and IB-3 as the hardest of all the license tests. Otherwise, this iteration of GT is probably the easiest when it comes to license tests. Especially the S tests which I found are waaaaaaaaaaaaay to forgiving. In previous GT's you had to beat a certain time which left very little room for error and you actually felt a sense of accomplishment after completing them. Some of the S tests I golded after my first try. Waay to easy imo.

I've golded all the way up to IC, no aids including ABS=0
However, I used the brake balance controller to adjust the braking force mid-race. I think it's perfectly reasonable considering I would be able to do it in any other race. The tests are just practice for future racing, so if I can do it in races, why not the tests?

I have done them twice now, was getting really fedup with the game a few days ago so uninstalled my game installation and deleted my (level 26 a-spec) game save. Put the game on Ebay (really was that fedup with it) but just couldn't bring myself to sell so took it off Ebay, reinstalled and started again. Managed to get back to level 20 now, and all golds on the license tests.

did s1-s9 (gold) yesterday didnt even start up s10 cuz it was almost 3 in the morning... gunna do it tonight and i'll finally be done!!!

Hey, I haven't posted anything since Gran Turismo 4 I still have the game and memory thingy with all my saved games, however I don't have a ps2 any longer some one has stolen it.
I bought myself a ps3 for Christmas and Gran Turismo 5. I haven't done any races yet, I'm getting all the licenses finished first. I've got all golds so far and I'm up to IC 10.What a horribly handling car.I've managed 2nd place so far, I find that if I pass the 3rd place car at the 90 degree right turn that's before the straight and down hill section that's in the other license test, then he follows me and runs me off the road if he's close enough.I'm just taking a break from it now and I know that eventually I'll be successful, I know this because I thought mission 34( Gran Turismo 4) was impossible until I did it.
I'm going to get another ps2 some day because my ps3 won't play the old game.

How did some of you get all gold so quickly? The hard ones like IC10 and IA10 took what seems like forever to obtain. A wheel would have been a good investment but a DS3 is just too convenient on the couch.

Here's mine:

Did my S-licence yesterday and man, that was by far the easiest of them all to get all Golds. 4 or 5 of them I got on my first try. And even beyond that, when I wasn't getting them on my first try it was cause I was hitting other cars from being so aggressive and getting DSQ'd. That was before I found out it wasn't even that necessary to do so on most of them but whatever, I kept being aggressive and just found them really easy as long as you didn't get disqualified. IMO S was the easiest to gold, then A, B, and IC were similar. IB and IA were a bit harder (although IA's final mission was really easy for me).

Overall there were about 3 tests I had a lot of trouble with and took me a while to do. One was IC-1 with the Aston 1000m braking, Nurburgring Dunlop curve with the Renault (B licence?), and the slalom wit the FT-86 in IB, although the latter I only tried around 10 times the first time, the I came back the next day and got it in my first try. IC-1 was just... man, that was ridiculous. All or nothing really. You had to be so damn precise or you had no chance whatsoever. The Renault on Nurburgring, I just remember how frustrated I was with that and it took me 20-30 tries. Also the BMW 1 concept on the following corner took me a while too, maybe 20-30 as well.

Hey everyone,
just golded them all :)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I had all aids off except for ABS-1.
I reckon IC-10, IB-3, and S-4 were the hardest.
The rest weren't to bad in my opinion.
Also, big thanks to Stune for his vids on the above tests i had trouble with, without him i dont think i would of ever passed them, lol.

Pheeeeew. I just got the 60 gold with my dualshock and my fingers hurt so bad because I use the d pad instead of the analog stick lol. The hardest ones for me were the schumacher s in the A license and the 370z in ic. S license was super easy.
