Fairly impossible to control with a gamepad, my current best is 8th I think.

To be honest, I found IC - 1 the hardest test to gold in the game, so don't get too dis-heartened if you are struggling.
I found the super licence tests disappointingly easy to gold.
Which one was IC-1?

1000 meter braking test in an Aston Martin DB9.
If anyone has golded I-C 1, did you do it without ABS?
Ah that one. Very difficult, still don't understand how with TC off, on a wet road, full throttle start is the quickest. That was the big difference in me being able to do it. Must be that Skid Recovery thing.

IC-1 is in the dry. I think its IB-1 in the wet 400m in a GTR you are thinking of, I did that one first time.
I got gold on it without ABS, you also have to pay attention to your launch. Full throttle isn't the best way, in first gear, shift up 100rpm above red line, after that, try and make all shifts about 200 below redline, its worth about a tenth on just the straight.
0:26.703.... on IC-1.... about to throw my collectors edition in the wall....

I didn't find IC-1 very difficult, I managed it in less than 10 tries using ABS 1 and like Steve says, not full throttle off launch, and then not 100% brakes at the end, I managed to come to a rapid stop using about 90% brakes eventually. The clue is in the description when it says you have to judge how much braking force to apply I think 👍
I found B-8(?), the Nurburgring Dunlop hairpin amongst the most difficult.
Gold now on A, B and IC, cannot wait to start IB tomorrow.
For anyone who hasn't yet reached IC-10, it's an absolutely unforgettable treat. What a game
All the best
