still not working for me after the update. funny thing is i tried the original "wait at the finish line" no matter the lap and it took 8 minutes for me to see another car, did they go off and party while i waited? lol

got it to work now, seems they may have fixed it. even though it shows you in 14th place on the 7th lap when you cross the finish line it gives you 1st and the gold now.
The display is, and has always been, correct. Your position downgrades as cars finish the race because, well, they've finished! You haven't finished yet, so you haven't locked in your final position.
The patch simply fixes the bug where you don't actually get credited for first place once you do eventually cross the finish line.

I updated to 1.03 this morning and went back to chasing the win. I decided on total overkill so took my 908 tuned down to 650pp and managed to lap the whole field at least once and crossed the line after the time was up following closely on 6th place who definitely crossed after the time was up too.
