Ferrari:
It's true. The new 2006 Ferrari 600 Imola will be the new Maranello. Ferrari had decided that they wanted to get a new design look for both the Maranello, and 360. I know alot of you have already heard about Ferrari's new 360.
The 600 Imola will be a bit bigger than the Maranello with a longer wheelbase, roomier cabin, and addition luggage capacity. Like the Scaglietti, the new 600 Imola will use aluminum space frame construction, but unlike it's 532-bhp V12, the Imola's 6.0 liter version will produce between 580 and 600Bhp.
A new convertible should be in production by 2007 or 2008.
Also, Ferrari has yet to decide if they want or not to make a new version of the Ferrari 355. If they decide to, Pininfarina will be in charge of the design like they have with the 600 Imola.
Audi:
We all know the Audi S8 has been discontiued, but Audi has announced that they will start a new version of the S8 which should arrive in the states by this time next year.
Jaguar:
Jaguar improves the design of their S-Type and XKR. From a far distance, nothing looks changed, but in fact, there is. Both cars have had some new body work done. The new car design should arrive next year.
Porsche:
Porsche had also announced that their new 2006 911, will also be featured as a Cabriolet model, which will also reach the states late 2005 like the new S8.
And last, Ford:
Ford has been working on the Focus now as an entirely new version. The Ford Focus Cabriolet. This new Foucs will reach us during mid 2005.
Racing News:
Chevrolet:
Chevrolet has announced that the C5R will have 2004 as it's last racing year. Next year, the new C6 Race car will make a debut at the Detriot Auto Show, and will race at Sebring. Unfornately, Chevrolet is having a few problems with the aero.
Aston Martin:
Not really new news, but for people who haven't heard. Aston Martin returns to the racing seen next year with their new DB9R. Right now, only 1 pic of it has been shown.
Lamborghini:
Lamborghini already has the R-GT racing, but they are reworking some specs on the R-GT in hopes of making it faster, and better.
Dodge:
Dodge has also been reworking their Viper. Next year, expect it to be a bigger match for the Corvette. But will it be beaten by the C6?
(New Info)Porsche:
Although an official announcement nor any other announcment released to the public has been done, supposedly, Porsche has been working on a new car of their own for racing, a supercar we all know of, the Carrera GT. This new race car with have the same spoiler as it does now, but designed for a more aero. and the spoiler would not go down. As of now, this new race car has not been announced, and Porsche is not sure whether or not to go through with it. If the project goes through, expect ot start racing 2006-2007. But as said beofre, the project is still in drawing plans.
So, the rest of the thread remains...
