Some drifting Q's...

Since you 'no' so much about drifting, maybe you could be so kind as to let me 'no' what tyres would be more suitable for a S13 than simulation tyres.

You don't really "Need" sims to drift. It's just makes it easier with sims. It makes better, smoother, and higher angled drifts possible. It's not impossible to do similar drifts with other, grippier tires, but it's also not impossible to play GT3 with my feet. That doesn't make it a good ****ing idea though. :)

Ok,I'll tell you a secret "Street Fighter"you don't need sim's to drift.Actually you could drift with your traction controle all the way up to ten,but thats not important right now.Now i know your mind is going crazy  ,but let me explain. When drifting you have your car your settings and your tires ok all good fundamentals for racing ,and drifting, and ect. Then comes the true performance (the driver) the peformance is the key to drifting.Ok,i set you up with the basic parts.fuge this what i'm saying is rather your a lousy drifter or you can't drive it doesnt matter what car you use or what tires if you no how to drive you can use the body weight off the car to drift or the inertia force.Ok that was a point less answer.Your answer Street Fighter is you can use any damn tires ass long as you can drive

some one move this wall:banghead:
p.s sorry for miss spelling i don't care any more

im working at mastering the S13 at 450hpbut the car is much more hefty than the AE86. I think next ill try the FC Rx7.

i didn't think they released it here yet, i'm so late

oh my god, you rented the Initial D in ametrican...Hahahah you nerd...You're going to be missing about 3/4 of the story...I've seen the fierst 8 in engish and i'll tell you..it's horrible and makes little to no sense.

Uhm..Shut up? I think..No no..I KNOW mostt of the people..if not all the people here know what they're talking about. Learn on sims, if you don't, you're just taking away from your abilty. Stop arguing, you have no friends and we dont care.

Yeah, good call XzifT. This guy obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. If you want to learn how to drift smoothly, then learn on sims. When you are confortable with that then you can start playing around with different settings, and tires, only after you figure out the sweet spot with horsepower to tire type. Because the amount of horsepower you have dictates the type of tire you should be using, (Albeit, every cars range is different in that respect). Learning what tires you should be using for different instances, and what setting tweaks, is what makes this game soooo much fun.

Yeah I download all of Initial D Volume 1 and 2, the comic version which came out before the movies, read most of volume one, then downloaded several of the video episodes. They don't compare at all. Especially the 3d cars.

The comics were obviously writen by a car entheusiast because the you can tell he spent alot of time on actual drawings of the cars.

I would really suggest going to the mIRC-X server and join #initial-d cuz you can download every issue of the comic, scanned. I would also suggest downloading ACDsee so you can cycle through the pages with the space bar.

Very cool. Check it out if you can.

:embarrassed: oh,wow that really hert xzift but the funny thing is your wrong.Let me tell you why, first i'm not tring to fight you so don't take this to the heart but when you first started playing GT series games I bet you you never touched sim tires until you learned how to drive better and handle the car .Second polishing your skills with sim's sorry kid, nope just cus we don't do it the way you do it doesnt mean its the wrong way.Plus you wanna talk sh.. to me think again I could tell you the same thing you can't drive you suck you Know why ,I'll tell you, you didn't beat the game with sim's so you cant be that great cus you didnt learn your skills the hard way and perfected your driving skill's.See what i'm saying if you don't and perfer to stay with your quote then your a lousy driver ,bwahahahahaha!!! oh' i mean and don't get mad friends that was a very sad joke you acctually think i would want you as a friend ,Well maybe i really don't Know you but w/e its all cool with me just remember this is going to eat you up inside knowing you can't drive becaouse you didn't use sim's in the start that sucks for you cus i could say i'm better then you so peace out

p,s
It's eating you up inside
ohyea' you do care cus you responded to my message

Listen, I can tell you this. From my 3 years of playing this game, I have found that you can best progress as a drifter if you're using a car equipped with sims. It also helps to start in a stock car. You're so stuck in your ways it's not even funny. You're diggin yourself a hole so just quit now. When I first started drifting in GT3 I used normal tires. Then I switch to sims, then back to normals, now I use sims exclusively. I got rusty after a while of not drifting for a bit in GT3 and I tried using sims again. I found that using sims I was able to get back into the groove of drifting, and quickly passed my previous skill. I'm better now than I ever was, and I'm at a point where it doesn't matter what tires, car, or setup I use to drift.

So in what many might consider my "expert opinion", it's best for someone who is new to drifting to begin learning on simulation tires until they are able to control the car and learn the techniques. Once they're comfortable taking all kinds of turns and have learned how to tune a little bit, then they can expirament with different setups and tire choices.

You can't run before you walk.

you cant run before you walk but you can crawl, you get hehehe any way i wanna post some vids but i don't now how to post them cus i don't now how to get the ps2 to connect to the computer so tell me how and ill post a.s.a.p. oh , three years playing gt series games try this one i've been playing sense the gt1 demo came out

Quit now eh.

I will take your advice of sticking with a stock car with sims for now but there is no way I'm quitting. This doesn't compare to racing in the least.

oh yea , also you guys should gt out off your own world cus in drifting compititions there is freestyle and drift racing . so before you start drifting learn how to race and keep control cus you can't be an expert with out mastering both :D
