These secret menu pictures sure have me pondering a few things.

1 - Is this a menu for developers and Sony people only?
2 - Will these features that have been discovered in this thread ever make it to GT5?

There is a small part of me that believes sorg here might be doing us all a favor by bringing this public. We could see all of this at a future date since these things are not hidden any longer.

Could you sorg merge or copy all your posts to your no.1 post? (also all photos, some of them are not accesible now). Of course each new will be posted as a new post too.

some screens from secret menu:
Also this picture is for me 1000x times better garage list than we have now. It could save a lot of load time without car picture at each item (car). (I know it is not a garage list now). It could be used as a good base to make new clearer looking garage which does not take too long to load.

Current garage outlook is complete crap...
The main problem is loading whole list of cars regardless of filter used before. I have no idea when i would need raw list. Every opening of garage is just waiting whole list loading and then set desired filter. And if i need some standard car, i have to wait for list of premium cars then wait again for whole list of standard cars and only then i will be able to set the filter... Really, really stupid design of garage :(

yes, definitely a simple list mode by default, just like older GTs would work a lot better.

The thing is really that it never resemble the last car you used on the list, or the filter settings you used.

And thanks for trying with the wheels, sorg :)

Hi Sorg. Have you found any sort of Joypad button code for accessing the secret menu on non jailbroken version of the console/game like existed in GT5P?

Your guess of this stuff not coming in an update isn't any different then anyone who believes these features will be in Spec III.👍

So you think it's likely that hidden and de-activated menus ans options, most of which have been there on the disc since day 1 are suddenly going to be activated as a spec update two years later? Keep dreaming.

Who knows?

Maybe I'm wrong but wasn't sorg using a GT5 XL disc? The one with 2.0 update? What if some of these "secrets" were added in 2.0 for later activation? 💡

My best advice for you all. Don't hold too much stock in what sorg finds being added to the game. No one here really knows why that stuff that he finds is in there nor does anyone here know if it will or will not be added. Just enjoy reading about what he finds and continue playing the game. If it does happen to be added later, then it will be a pleasant surprise rather than a disappointment when its not added. Just enjoy the thread for what it is.

+1:tup:

My guesss with all these findings, (Thanks Sorg) everything that is incomplete or for demostrative purposes is hidden, for maintaining overall quality. As CargoRat said " No one here really knows why that stuff that he finds is in there nor does anyone here know if it will or will not be added."

I find interesting the fact that FGT get a extrange color, maybe they were trying to "Premiumrize" it, or it is the way all standard cars work.

At one point he said all of this stuff was on the original disc and the only difference between the two was a seperate update folder on the updated disc. Besides Spec 2 was well over a year ago, if they haven't activated everything in it by now they won't ever do.

All these files are simply (I believe) the same things as all the secret files left on previous GT discs. They either couldn't be implemented or are just PD experimenting with things and just don't take time to remove the files from the disc.

That menu is probably accessed the same way GTHD & GT5P's secret menus were...a combination of buttons that we don't know.

Hard to know if there is a button combination.

Why do you always have a rude attitude and negative reply's against everybody's views?

I had the same problem with his posts at first then I found that its not to bad to offer an opinion and give it straight.

Which is used in demo stands. Maybe, during late 2009, early 2010, all those demos we saw were actually a full GT5 game, however, running in "quiosque" mode.

By the way, I've tried X2010 5G in previous seasonal on Spa track. Its PP is overrated a lot! With 700PP I had a hard time to catch even the last car. 5G is good at corners, but completely crap on straights. Not enough power/torque to reach the speed as other cars. Only raining weather let me win. I've installed intermediate tires and used it whole event while bots did 1-2 PITs. On 2J with 700PP i won the event easily.

There's a fine line between being realistic and pessimistic.

Some people just aren't happy people.

Its the dreamers and optimists that move the world forward.

And it's the pessimists that keep them grounded in reality and keep them from flying too high and getting burnt.
Honestly you get used to Simon's posts. At least I did, I quite like him now.
Besides, they're very rarely really 'rude'. Just blunt if anything.

OT: @Sorg, do you think you could add all the things you've discovered to your OP if you have time? reading through the 56 pages of drivel really was something..
Either way, really interesting read when I eventually got to the good bits

Hi Sorg

A while ago someone asked if putting non standard rims on a car affected performance. Any chance of having a look?

Also I was wondering if you can find out what effect washing a car in GT Auto has.

Thanks for all the time you are putting in man.

I cannot obtain such info.

I'll see.. I'm too lazy actually :) Always amazed how other OPs have enough energy to gather many info in one post and even format it by fonts and colors ;)

Actually, would be better to clean this thread from useless posts because it's good to let people read other people posts and see what questions have been asked already.

Thx if you have time man.

You don't need to hack the game to know that washing a car washes the car.

Why're you still reading this? that's it.. it washes the car.. it doesn't have the same relationship that oil changes and engine overhauls have.

Ok.. Cheers for the answer Sorg.. Keep up the good work.

@ UrieHusky

Ummm well I was wondering if washing the car had any relationship with body rigidity or prolonging the integrity of the body.

There was no need for a fecitious reply.

Well I do apologise if my humour isn't to your taste , it's just pretty common knowledge that the car wash is literally just a car wash. :)
