Hello there. As you may or may not know, I am currently running the Lotus 111R Championship, and previously ran the Integra World Championship. The Lotus series, which has been a great success, attracting some of the fastest drivers on GTP, is winding down, and I have many ideas for what I'd like to do afterwards.

The following is a list of some of the things I would like to do in the near future. I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could tell me what ideas you like the most / would actually participate in (or let me know if something I have listed has already been done). Note that some things can be run simultaneously.

-A casual spec series using the Camaro SS '10. Would use Sport Soft tires, no engine mods, and have a 4/5 race series.

-A series using the Nascars, but only on Road Courses.

-A bracket style, single (or double) elimination tournament featuring a series of 1-on-1 races. Similar to drag racing, but on circuits. Would probably be held all in 1 day. Wardez and I were discussing it a little bit earlier.

-Another RM Spec series, in the same vein as the Lotus and Integra series. Right now, I'm thinking the Silvia S15

-A series based on the Grand-Am Continental Tire series. I noticed that somebody tried doing this about a month ago, but never went anywhere. I'd test and balance the cars similarly to Adrrrrm's GT4 series, and would honestly use a lot of the same cars, so I'm not sure about it.

So yeah, let me know what you guys think. 👍

Those all sound like great ideas Mule. I spent a little time with the Camaro around Laguna Seca. Very fun, beastly car to drive. I would suggest raising the front a bit to remove some of the understeer.

The idea of running stock cars(Nascar) on road courses sounds silly... but, I have driven one around Nurburgring and it was quite manageable. We also ran stock cars for the WRS at Indy road course. A lot to manage, but proper throttle control can shave some serious time.

Single day tournament is a cool idea. I wish we could all meet somewhere and run this LAN style. What a blast that would be.

Your RM spec series are always great. You run great series. For anyone that is reading this, and hasn't raced in one of Mule's series, you should give it a shot. Mule runs well organized, fair leagues. He is a dedicated host, and makes the whole experience a blast.... He also has a following of some very fast racers.

The Grand-Am series would be interesting each week, as different cars will be better on different tracks. Not sure how many cars you would include, but I would assume it would be a lot of leg work to keep all the cars fairly equal. If you put in the work, I assume it would be a great change up to the WSGTC.

So.. with all these great ideas, I am sure you will make a great series with one of them. I wish I had more time lately to get to race with you more. You are a gentlemanly driver, and are aware of your car and those around you.

I'd be down for this.

The Camaro formula would probably be something like this:

-No engine mods
-All drivetrain mods
-Race suspension
-Stage 2 weight reduction
-Aero allowed
-Sport soft tires.

I don't want it to be anything serious. just some Friday or Saturday night thing. Room opens at whatever time, open practice/qualifying for half an hour or whatever, then we race. Nothing like the Lotus series were we have qualifying over 2 days.

I can run it at the same time as the next RM series this way, as well. Thanks Rees for the kind words about that. ;x

Sounds good to me. What tracks are we looking at for this Camaro room?

My original idea was something along the lines of Laguna Seca/Monza, then I want a night race, so either SSR5 or Le Mans, then either Tokyo or Suzuka or Grand Valley

Really not sure, though.

I like Laguna Seca, Monza, and SSR5 for sure. I'm partial to Tokyo, but Grand Valley seems like a good track for this car.

I'm not that big a fan of SSR5, and I like Le Mans because I'm good at it, though :sly:

I'm gonna suggest a series I'm too lazy to start myself:
While RT keeps shifting the start of the FMSC, there appears to be enough run one before it finally starts, so I'd certainly enjoy running in an NC Miata series with some engine mods and fixed sport suspension.

I'd probably sign up for that, but I'll leave it for RT (or someone else) to make.

Looks like we have enough Interest to start the Camaro series. I'll get a thread made shortly.

Hey Mule,

If your next series starts after September 5th I would like to participate. The only idea that catches my interest is the S15 one. The camera is not a car I prefer. What ever happened to the RM NSX idea?

Someone else beat me to it. They've got a Wednesday night series going on right now.

The next RM series will start pretty much right after the Lotus series ends, and I'll likely have a pre-season race as well, so you're good.

Great to hear from you again, too.

Thanks. I like to drop in from time to time while on vacation to check on the series.

That's too bad about the NSX. I know you like having a unique car in your series. I read that you're planning an integrated season two. That's both exciting and disappointing for some reason lol. I'll be so rusty but a familiar car should help as much as anything.

Good luck with the rest of the lotus season and count me in for the integrated series. (please include the green hell!)

Take care.

I was thinking about the Silvia, but it's an understeer machine, so I don't think i'd be very fun.The Integras were fun, so that's why I'm going to go ahead and do that again. We'll most likely start in September.

Here's a post I made in the GTP ORB thread about series I think would be fun and I encourage to me made:

Honestly, I really want as little as possible to do with that whole "ORB" thing. IMO, it'll just makes things more complicated.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. 👍👍 If I decide to join a series in the future, I will keep these in mind. I want no part of the gtp gov't social club and would not consider any series that uses it.

I was pointing out the racing series ideas, not the ORB stuff. 👍

Yeah I know. :scared:

Personally, I'm going to stick with what I have now. Whether it's something I've already done, or something in the OP here. And there's no sense in running too much at the same time.

A lot of those, however, I would easily sign-up for. *hint hint* to anyone reading this.
