Something that's bugging me

Now let's get this straight: Since a Corvette ZO6 gets 19mpg city and 28mpg highway what's with the Mustang SVT Cobra? The SVT Cobra gets worse gas mileage and is slower 0-60, 0-100, and has a lower skidpad rating. Oh, one more thing about the ZO6, it gets the same gas mileage as a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix STE with a 3.1 liter V-6.

Car weight and aerodynamics play a part in mileage, as do a few other factors.

Yes and also the fuel you use. If you use a high refined Octane 93 you can get better milage and a few more horses than if you used regular unleaded. Tire pressure is important as well. Keep it at an optimum..

This just goes to show how much Mustang's suck.:P

No, really, they do.

You're wrong Palm, most manufacturers strongly recommend only useing the octane suggested for the car. Using other octanes can cause pinging and power loss, among other problems.

Plus, buying 93 will eat your wallet. :)

I meant this other one. I forgot the name but Octane was what came out. I thought you would know by now I do that alot :P. Well he wanted more performance and I was telling him how :D...

no no, you were right. Gas is graded by Octane. Most stations have 89, 91, 93, though some have 87, 89, 91, and others(one near Gateway Raceway right across the river from STL)offer 103 Race Fuel. Hehe, I bet there's a lot of guys going there and buying that saying "My car's a race car now!". Then they spend $80 on gas, and thier car is mortally damaged.

I used to live in Alton Il. Gotta love St. Louis 👍. You should have seen all the trucks that pulled up to our new house here in VA full of my dad and Grandfather's cars ...
