Something About Us by Daft Punk, depresses me...
Stairway to Heaven does it for me too, theres plenty of songs that do that, but those are the only ones I can think of right now...

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.
Brings back some bad memories of my mothers death nearly 20 years ago. :(

Cheers Shaun.

My parents used to play some old songs like this when I was a kid. It ended up on my ipod when I transfered a bunch of CDs to it, but I haven't heard it until recently, and it's now one of my favorite songs, definitely suitable for this thread:

I think anything Hans Zimmer makes will be amazing. Don't know why, but this song makes me sad at the beginning. (And no, it's not because of Ghost!)

I challenge anyone who doesn't like lady Gaga to listen to this and tell me you still don't like her. And people who already like her ought to watch this anyway. Easily her best and most emotional performance:

Last Christmas - Wham - It's just so saddening to know you're being whammed. I avoid this for every possible reason! It's so evil!

I can think of many songs that almost make me cry, but I'll keep it short and only say a few:
-Aerosmith- I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
-Bon Jovi- Bed of Roses, Always...
-Rise Against- Hero of War

Adam's Song by blink-182 comes to mind instantly. It's about a kid who killed himself. It's a true story, and I find suicide very, very sad and disturbing. So I like that they wrote a song about/for this kid.

No songs really make me emotional/cry, but I would say the closest to it would be

Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler

I have a few that get me close, most noticably:

Iron Maiden - Wasting Love
Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium), only sometimes though
Iron Maiden - Fear is the Key, I have no idea why though
Iron Maiden - The Apparition
Iron Maiden - The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Iron Maiden - The Evil That Men Do
Iron Maiden - Childhood's End

A few others as well. I don't actually cry I just get a really heavy wave of emotion that comes over me. I love it.

I've never actually cried about a song, but here's another that me emotion to me.

Creep by Radiohead. Its about not feeling worthy of being with a girl. I can relate as the girl I like right now seems WAY out of my league.

My Old Friend - Tim McGraw
And
Believe - Brooks n Dunn.

The second one has a long story behind it lcan't explain on my phone.

I dont listen to country music much but my dad did and he grew up playing drums in a band. He and I both loved the drums and even played together the very last night I was able to see him before he got too sick from cancer to play. We would put in any song and he would play it. Then I would play. Rascal Flats was one of the bands we played. Kept taking turns. He loved watching me play "Life is a highway". Such a proud fun moment seeing him smile while I played on the drums that I bought for him. So now when I hear almost any song by Rascal Flats I have to turn it off or try to ignore the song. Chokes me up every time. In fact I made sure no rascal flats was played at my wedding. :guilty: But we had a great time together before he passed so thats what I try to remember. :)

Dont stop believing by Journey is another that reminds me a LOT of my dad because it was another song we played together. I couldnt listen to that for a while but now I can handle that song.
