33 more minutes :D

Interesting how time appears to slow down as you approach a big event. Pretty sure Einstein described it somewhere...

Do not press the options button for any reason, it results in a crash for the game. Avoid that at all costs. Pro here, going to try playing and changing the buttons from within the race screen and not the main menu. Wow, talk about a rushed demo, it's not even all there.

use the GT button in the upper left corner to get to options, do not use the button on the pad, it crashes my game right out. Either way, going to unlock some stuff, lol.

PlayStation Australia says the demo will open a 8pm, which is extremely inconvenient because that's when my Monday night racing on Project Cars 2 starts:banghead: Hopefully I can play it after I'm done...

Edit: My brother is on it right now.

YES!!!! Even in the Netherlands the demo is already (a)live and kicking. I have the privilege to schedule my own working hours. I decided to work from home this morning. Unfortunately duty calls this afternoonand I have to go to the office .

To all of you enjoy this open beta!! (so not a demo, right?). Is there a difference?

Wi know more about custom race :

Custom Race

Tweak the conditions as you see fit, and race against AI drivers in your very own original race. Once you have selected a transmission type, the following settings can be adjusted:

・Race Type (Laps/Endurance)
・No. of Laps (If the Race Type is set to "Laps".)
・Time Limit (If the Race Type is set to "Endurance".)
・No. of Cars
・Starting Grid (Player's Starting Position)
・Start Type (Grid Start/Rolling Start)
・Rolling Start Interval (If "Rolling Start" has been selected)
・Boost (A feature which increases the speed of cars which are trailing.)
・Slipstream Strength
・Mechanical Damage
・Tyre Wear
・Fuel Depletion
・Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge (Low/Real)
・Opponent Category (The larger the gap between your car's category and your opponents' cars' category, the more stars will appear on the left side of the settings screen, indicating a more difficult race. More difficult races pay out more in prize money.)
・Opponent Speed (Increasing from Beginner to Intermediate to Expert will increase the number of stars that appear on the left side of the settings screen, indicating a more difficult race. More difficult races pay out more in prize money.)
・Shortcut Penalty
・Wall Collision Penalty
・Correct Vehicle Course After Wall Collision
・Replace Cars When they Leave the Track
・Flag Rules (If set to 'On', the flag indications given by the marshal on the side of the track will be enforced, and drivers will incur penalties for disregarding them.)

It’s supposed to be live from 10:00 in the UK so anybody getting problems with stuff crashing before that time, let’s not rush to call it a rushed demo eh? I can confirm the issue though.

First impression.

Visually amazing.

Grabbed a Miata and did a quick oval race.

Controls with T500RS and load cell brakes and shifter is amazing.

As always replays are stunning.

But. W.T.F.??? The sound is horrible. Screeching tyres are so unlike the real sound of scrubbing a tyre on an oval. I know the Mazda Miata is a simple 4 banger, but the engine sound is atrocious.

All these years and still Kaz refuses to enrichen the sound experience :(

So, again - delivers everywhere except sound.

Okay I'm getting a serious GT4 vibe from Brand Central and I love it. Good lord I think I'm gonna adore this game.

EDIT: WHAT YOU CAN SEAMLESSLY SWITCH BETWEEN THE CAR RUNNING IN A PHOTO AND A STUDIO SHOT.

WHAT IS THIS BLACK MAGIC?

Incredible. GT5 memories there too, where you were able to select the lighting of the studio shot. So far this game feels like everything Kaz originally set out to do, but couldn't due to technology limits. Feels like he finally achieved his vision, or at least a good part of it. So giddy and happy right now man.

Has any of you got an issue where in the game would crash when you go Options?
Yup, got it a few minutes after I started it up haha. Still you can get to those menus without pressing Options I believe. Click the GT logo in the top left, brings down a sub menu.

You can change the race setting in arcade mode after the race or probably before it as well. Seems like being able to move quickly back to racing is the point of this. This includes course conditions(time of day for the race), selecting your car, selecting the course and penalties. Wow, that's great. The physics seems to have been given a bit more bite, the Beta felt a little floaty, this demo cars are weighty and will try to kill you when you disable the nannies. Drove the AMG GT3, yea it's nothing like it was in the beta, it doesn't want to turn and while stable, you will still lose control if you aren't careful. ABS 1 everything else set to professional. This game is going to be a joy just like GT5 was, minus the shabby physics online.

Can't believe how much I missed these ridiculous driving tests, they feel like home. I never wanted to play them again but somehow they feel right, strange. I just want the prize cars at the end though.
