"Uh-huh, and Matthew why is there a transvestite donkey witch standing next to you and why is it wearing a dress?"
Mecha-Streisand is a classic. This episode was just not that great for me. I loved the rehash of pointing out how they still can make fun of everything and everyone, but Muhammad, but at the same time it was a rehash of all those jokes.Sorry for the double post, but has anyone watched "200" yet? Honestly, no wonder Barbara Streisand is pissed off with South Park.

I like the story concept of everyone getting revenge on them though and can't wait to see how it ends.
At the beginning, I actually thought the episode was going to be about poking fun at TV shows that just rehash the same script after a couple years.Mecha-Streisand is a classic. I hope they don't get too nostalgic and make a two part terrance and phillip special.
That was annoying.
The radical Islamic Web site Revolutionmuslim.com is going after the creators of the TV cartoon series "South Park" after an episode last week included an image of the Prophet Mohammed in disguise.
Revolutionmuslim.com, based in New York, was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting “jihad” against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Its organizers insist they act within the law and seek to protect Islam.
On Sunday, Revolutionmuslim.com posted an entry that included a warning to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that they risk violent retribution – after the 200th episode last week included a satirical discussion about whether an image of the prophet could be shown. In the end, he is portrayed disguised in a bear suit.
YouTube: Watch Trey Parker and Matt Stone talk about the decision
The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com says: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”
Theo van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by an Islamic extremist in 2004 after making a short documentary on violence against women in some Islamic societies. The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com features a graphic photograph of Van Gogh with his throat cut and a dagger in his chest.
The entry on Revolutionmuslim.com goes on to advise readers:
“You can contact them [the makers of South Park], or pay Comedy Central or their own company a visit at these addresses …” before listing Comedy Central’s New York address, and the Los Angeles, California, address of Parker and Sloane’s production company.
Contacted by CNN, the author of the post, Abu Talhah al Amrikee, said that providing the addresses was not intended as a threat to the creators of South Park but to give people the opportunity to protest.
Over still photographs of Parker, Stone, van Gogh and others, the Web site runs audio of a sermon by the radical U.S.-born preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, who is now in hiding in Yemen. The sermon, recorded some time ago, talks about assassinating those who have “defamed” the Prophet Mohammed – citing one religious authority as saying “Harming Allah and his messenger is a reason to encourage Muslims to kill whoever does that.” U.S. officials say al-Awlaki is on a list of al Qaeda leaders targeted for capture or assassination.
The clip ends with a warning on a graphic directed at Parker and Stone, saying “The Dust Will Never Settle Down.”
Al Amrikee said the purpose of including the al-Awlaki sermon in his posting was to remind Muslims that insulting the prophet is a severe offense for which the punishment in Islam is death. He said RevolutionMuslim may hold protests about the show.
Calls to Comedy Central were not returned.

So, I take it they missed the point of the show? Hell, they just proved the point.Looks like the episode "200" caused a lot of controversy in the Muslim community... Well Muslim Extremist community then... They have been given death threats, the addresses of the creators has been posted and even the address of their production company in LA. I find this pretty ridiculous... maybe this should even get its own thread... but thought I'd post it here first since this is the South Park thread

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.
Same reason why the last time Muhammad was censored on the show they agreed to put up the message from Matt and Trey about being to afraid to stand up and do the right thing. Comedy Central would rather be publicly mocked by their most popular talent than have to worry about possibly dealing with the possible violence and negative PR that would follow an uncensored showing. Why would CC do it if like they say it was about intimidation and fear?
Super Best Friends was before the Danish cartoon incident, and no one was even aware this was some sort of blasphemy. They got away with showing Mohammad in "Super Best Friends". And thecrackpotsextremists didn't say much after that was first aired. Besides, Mohammad's powers of fire was pretty cool. Honestly, if Muslim extremists can get CC to censor a South Park episode they don't like, what if the same happens with Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Scientologists (I dunno why but the idea of Tom Cruise blowing himself up in CC's headquarters doesn't seem that crazy) when they come across an episode they don't like. "Ooh, this episode says the Bible is wrong, but if we threaten them with violence, they'll pull the episode!" "This says Scientology is a scam, but if I threaten to blow up Comedy Central's HQ with 20 sticks of dynamite, they'll pull the episode!" "Ooh, this episode says that the Pope helps paedophiles cover up their crimes, but if I threaten them with driving a 18-wheeler through their studios that's loaded with nitroglycerene (sp?), they'll pull the episode!" It's how television economics works, if you get one episode pulled or at least seriously censored the whole series is compromised. If the whole series is compromised the network won't risk airing that show again. In other words, RIP South Park.
It took me a while to start enjoying the Towlie bit, but I was loving the Camp Tardicaca stuff.bump!
Anyone see the towlie episode? It was brilliant. I thought they forgot about him in the 200th episode but they havent...
