I know there's a guy up in QLD that's got a car with a R32 front end and a S13 back. I think he was running the RB. Also anyone going to see Ken block doing gymkhana down in Melbourne on the 3rd September?

Hey this is for my own curiosity but if I were to build a rally spec AE86 what engine would you surgest I put in it?

You could either go a SR20DE/T
or the 4A-GE
both options will work, depending on how much $$$ you have.

but if you want to start the rallying side of motorsport, buy yourself a ke70, cheap and easy to get parts.

Well, you quote one post, copy the entire thing. Then you press quote on the other post you want to include and paste your first quote.

It's much simpler than that. Click the Multi-quote button (
multiquote_off.gif
) for any posts you want to quote. When you have them all selected, click the normal Quote button and you'll be taken to the Reply to thread page where you can formulate your post as desired. Note: The quoted posts will show up in the order they were selected.

The slow-chatting amongst some of you is completely uncalled for. Discussing drifting in GT5 is fine. Discussing Old Spice, your personal vehicles, engines in said vehicles and how to become a Moderator have no place in this thread. Take it to PM's or a Social Group, not here. Also, some of you could use a re-read of the AUP, in particular the second bullet item.

True with the KE part there only thing is that I want a 86 as my first car so I'd kind of build off that. Plan is when I can get a EVO 5 or 6.5 race spec the 86 and use the EVO to hall it around.

Edit: sorry while I was typing this the post above was posted and you can't see that on a iPod.

seriously, if you can get your hands on a cheap ae86, buy it, abit of a pain to work on, but fun to drive.

Because this is a GT5 Drifting forum not a free discussion. probably not best to mess with them unless you want to get a ban. Head over to our site and make a thread titled "Project cars" or something.

in the AUP it doesnt say that we cant discuss this, even though its on this thread, its still about cars..?
 
Look, Counter, As much as I agree with you on teh whole off topic thing not being in the AUP, TB has asked us to stop posting stuff that is off topic. Shall we leave it at that?

It is a little annoying seen as we are a Drift club and we use this as our social thread. it is easier for us to keep track of each other and subjects in here then in a Social group. but i do see from the mods perspective that this is the GT5 drift section and we must follow there ruling.

its still annoying.
 
i know this is a little off topic, but whats the best site to use to upload photos? i want to put some photos of my drifting up.

True, but the Monaro in GT5 is the V2 (VY based), and its a 2004 model which means its the 245 kw version, based on the VY II.. same as the SS in the game.
And to avoid this post looking like random chitter chatter, the Munro makes a decent as drifter, just needs to be premium so I can add black wheels and look at the sexy VY dash.

Also this is kinda off topic a bit but I was beating a dude in an F430 on Route 7 earlier on in my turbo Civic Type R with over 400 hp. Don't think he was very happy. :lol:
 
LOL my mate waynes was pissed off as i was out drifting him in my Kubelwagon and he was in a Merc 190E. i might mention he is using a G25 and doesn't drift that often.

LOL!! Oh that Kubelwagon is funny, that and the other stupid one, Shimmywagon or whatever the hell. The V-Dub Bus drifts pretty good too once you do it up. Might just be my setup but its hard to keep the momentum going. That's where the game needs engine transplants. V-Dub bus plus Mustang V8 = win! Boogie Bus! :lol: :lol:

That's it, new name for my V Dub bus is Boogie Bus.

Thats three of my drift cars that have names, sort of. The German Taxi, the Boogie Bus, The Munro, haven't yet thought of a name for the 'Stang yet. My R35 (although not a drifter) is called Kung-Fu GTR.
 
Could i give someone my minivan to do up, as i've only just started GT5 again and can't get the money for this project.

That said anyone tried drifting any sort of MR2 on GT5, they'd be quick little buggers around the corners.

I was thinking of the N/A 2nd gen mr2 but I drift the clio and it's a mr.
